Worked beside this place for five years. I've heard a lot of people say it's overpriced and to avoid. I figured Id give it a shot. Went in a few separate times with pre paid packages to drop off. he glared at my packaging job complaining about the size of the labels and seemed offended. I just assumed he had a bad day cause he ignores you if you ask how his day is. Went in another time. Same thing. weird snarky remarks. third time I dropped off package. lady tries to get me to go to the post office and telling Me they don't ship pre paid labels for free. Sent my girlfriend in he ignores her asking how his day was and replied with "what do YOU want" extremely blunt and rude. Squinting his eyes and cocking his head while saying " you know we're not a government operated business right" "you know this cost me money right" My girlfriend apologized for offending him and he snapped back saying he wasn't offended. I've used every post office around her. and this place is just blatantly disrespectful. they never have any business anyway. usps claims they heard all about this guy he has quite the reputation. Guess when you own your own b you can just be snooty to whoever you don't like the appearance of? I'd rather wait in line for twenty minutes then try to support a small business where the owner is pushing away customers. if you're older and collect stamps yea sure he'll probably help you out. If you're just trying to ship a few things he'll make you want to avoid that place. They could be more reasonable. I never said or did anything to them to be treated the way I was. read more

Went in to mail package. Regular mail. 1st he wanted to charge me $92.00. THEN....it went down to $29.00. THEN...it went back up to $32.00. Did not feel comfortable dealing with fluctuating prices. He did not seem to know what he was doing. Grabbed my package. Drove down the street to the post office. TOTAL CHARGE WAS $19.05 Priority Mail at the post office. Medford Mailbox was going to charge me $12.95 more - than what the actual post office would have charged. Prices do not fluctuate like this at other places. Would NOT recommend using their services. read more

One of the best businesses I've ever dealt with. Bob is genuine and honestly wants to help. He went above and beyond and took it upon himself personally to take care of me. My husband called me yesterday afternoon to tell me he left his wedding ring at his hotel in Medford, and that the hotel gave him the number for Medford Mailbox to get it back to us. I called Bob who set it all up for me and the ring was on our door step the this morning!! Bob provided me excellent customer service, even driving to the hotel to pick up the ring for us! This was place was recommended to me by several locals upon my visit to Oregon. Although the owner, who is up there in his years, needs to work on his robotic personality with people under the age of 60, probably set in his ways like my father, but nonetheless, a great guy. I had large amounts of items to be shipped back to California, (pictures, large coats, misc clothes & other misc items) which I'm sure was a packaging nightmare for them. When I got back home - they did an awesome job! No items were damaged. The packaging was the best I had ever seen. The price, compared to the local Fed Ex, USPS & UPS stores after a lot of inquiries and dealing with menials who were too lazy to answer basic questions, was very reasonable. This location has a lot of shipping resources at its disposal and office supplies which I also purchased. It also has local P.O. boxes for rent. I would recommend this place for both shipping out & for shipping to family & friends who live there. read more

I was traveling through Medford on my way home to Portland and stopped to spend the night at Best Western. I inadvertently left the body of my CPAP machine in the room when I checked out, and didn't realize it until I got home and unpacked. I called Best Western, they located my CPAP and called Medford Mailbox to come get it and ship it to me. Bob called me to get my shipping information and he understood the urgency of my need to get it back for my health and survival. He was SO NICE! He packed it up carefully and drove it to the post office himself to make sure it went out that day. I received it the very next day! It is not often somebody in the business world goes out of their way for a fellow human, and I am very impressed that Bob did this for me. I would do business with them anytime. read more

Medford Mailbox is a GEM!!! Bob has provided me with amazing customer service twice (one of which was today). My fiance and I first went to Medford Mailbox two days after we were engaged (and 4 days after I moved to Medford from NJ) to use his public notary services so I could be on my fiance's health insurance. Bob was very helpful and professional and his notary fees were very reasonable. I had no doubt after we walked out that we were completely taken care of and everything was legit. This afternoon I went to Medford Mailbox to mail last minute holiday gifts across the country so I wouldn't have to tackle long lines at the post office. Wow! What a great experience! Bob was very busy but took the time to look over my packages and recommend that I add some more "padding" to one of my box of gifts and offered to cut the box down for me, so that the gifts would fit more snuggly inside and not bounce around as much. Before I told him I needed 3 day shipping he offered to give me quotes for both FedEx and UPS (only UPS does 3 day). As I was paying he told me that even if UPS came before he was able to cut the box down, he guarantees all of his express packages for their deadline delivery and that he would see that my package arrived by Christmas Eve...and let me tell you, I have no doubt that it will! He even gave me a little tear-off calendar as a thank you gift for being a customer this holiday season! I'm not sure how much (if any) extra it costs to use Medford Mailbox to ship instead of the Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS but it is well worth it! This man cares very much about getting your packages where they need to be. He charges reasonable rates and he knows EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING there is to know about package delivery. He really, really, really cares. I have decided after today that I will be using Medford Mailbox for all of my mailing and delivery needs...ALL OF THEM! Just a quick review to show my thanks to the founder, Robert and friendly staff at Medford Mailbox. I recently moved to Oregon and desperately needed a place to recieve my mail. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but it's when I needed a little extra help that they really impressed me! I had just relocated from Medford to Rocky Point, I needed an extra month beyond my contract, the young lady working went out of her way to call Robert (who was out at the time) to get this approval. Then I let her know that I needed something notarized, again, she went out of her way to call Robert to see if he could run down to the store and accomodate me. Robert interuppted what he was doing and came down to help me! While I was waiting for him to arrive, the young lady helping me kept me company. Bob, it seems that had you been at work when I came in today I may not have had the same experience...however, the lady working today was the most rude person I have encountered in a very long time. I purchased packing supplies (box and tape) and began to put the box together when I was told I could not pack my package in her shop because you offer packing services I could pay for. I asked if I could pack it on the packing table near your door...and was told to get out and pack it in my car then bring it back when it is packed properly. I returned the tape (because I thought I might still need the box) and went to the UPS store at Medford Center. In and out in less than 2 minutes with no attitude. I've been in your establishment once before, with the same female employee, and now I remember why I have not returned - and will not ever again. read more

Mr. Gurney provided me with superb service at an hour of rather desperate need. My husband's mother had died abroad, and we had to have a document notarized and delivered by Fed Ex to him on a Monday in he Bay Area. This was happening on a Saturday. I was in Ashland to see plays; my husband, in Berkeley, needed the notarized form before he could leave the country to go to his mother's funeral. Mr. Gurney downloaded the form from the Internet, printed it for me, notarized and served as the courier to get it to Fed Ex and out for delivery. My husband got the package on time on Monday so he could leave the country on Monday. Mr Gurney was not only efficient and kind. I am glad to give him a 5-star rating. read more
