The hotel is very clean. That is all I can say about it. They give you 2 paper coffee cups and you better hang on to them because you won't get another. I called to confirm and got a voice mail and number to call the manager. Guess what no one calls back. The town is like the wild Wild West. Don't expect to find many options for dining. But truthfully I don't know where else you would stay in the area. This is a camping town for sure. read more

This is actually nicer than a number of the VRBOs that we have stayed in. The owners were in communication. The kitchen was fully equipped (with dishes, pots, and pans, silverware, an oven, stove, microwave, and full size refrigerator) also... Extra pillows, shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, plenty of towels. bedroom fans and two tvs. The beds were comfortable. I'm sure the owners realize that white carpet will never come clean in this quaint but dusty little town. Should we ever venture this way again, we will most definitely stay here!!! read more

Don't let old reviews hurt this great little hotel. It's everything you need for a stay in Concrete. I just stayed with a large group in several rooms for New Years Eve and we were all pleasantly surprised. Obviously, it's not a 5 star resort but for a basic hotel it is all you need. Easy, friendly, helpful check in. Clean, downtown location near bars, restaurants, parks, library, theater, bakery, pizzeria and more. We had the 2 bedroom suite and it was far more than we expected. We had 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen and living room. The beds were really cozy and comfortable and I especially loved sitting outside on the covered patio watching the morning unfold downtown with local folks walking their dogs, saying Good Morning, going to breakfast or just going about their day. read more

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here during our trip to North Cascades National Park. The place has changed a lot from those older reviews you might see here on Yelp, so don't let those reviews scare you away. The owner informed us that they have switched ownership recently and have been renovating and redoing a lot of the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean with a lot of new flooring and carpeting. The particular room we chose was small but perfect for the two of us. It had a mini fridge for our leftovers and space to hang our jackets. We'll definitely be coming back for future trips in the North Cascades! read more

Absolutely fantastic location. It's recently got new management. 4 of us stayed last month and it was a wonderful experiment Clean rooms, kind staff, and it's within walking distance of anything you could want to do. 2 different restaurants are practically across the street including an ice cream shop and a theater. They are updating the place currently as well. The town is full of history, the hotel is part of that history. I will stay in this great place again. read more

Totally unprofessional in every way when trying to check in nine motorcycle riders. We booked five rooms. First the handwritten sign on the door says 5 pm check in even though there's no vacancy. Second our rooms were prepaid in advance. Third everywhere are handwritten signs for this or that written by someone who thinks everyone else is an idiot. I would not stay here again just because of the attitude of the hotel clerk. read more

This is honestly my wierdiest hotel expierence. When arriving to this very small isolated town, I didn't think much of it. I made sure to read  reviews on Google and Tripadvisor before booking. People did mention zombie town, rude lady in the front desk, and you get what you pay for. So I knew what to expect. You  can't be too picky because there are only a few hotels in this area. When trying to check in, the front door was locked and when I trying to open another door on the end of the building, there was an employee there. She saw me struggling trying to open the door and she got up from her seat to unlock the door. After entering, she told us to shut the door, we did. When checking in: yes, this lady could improve in welcoming people. She was very direct and not friendly. Anyways, after receiving the keys and walking away., she made sure  to relock the door afterwards. The time we checked in was appx 5pm and yes, the sun was out. So this creeped us out. We got our stuff, went in our room, and locked our door too. I kept checking through the blinds and noticed 3 more cars were parked in the parking lot. So we felt relieved. The room was Lovers Room. The carpet was stained with mud by the entrance. Hikers obviously stained them. The room was comfortable. Bed was a little squeaky, but I seriously slept like a baby. Later, I learned the walls are not that sound proof. We were immediately alerted when our neighbors got in  due to all the loud bangs coming from the wall. One of the worst human beings I've ever met in my life is who you will get "greeted" by. Turns out they make you wear a mask but they don't have to wear one? Even the police had to get involved here. And the police officer said that she was a nightmare and apologized explaining this isn't how people in Concrete should be. They really need to start making negative star review options. We checked in late, and therefore only communicated with anyone via phone. They were very accomodating, and left a key out for us so we could check in after hours. A check out form was also provided, and we were able to check out without interacting with anyone in person. The room was very clean and comfortable, and felt more like an air bnb than a motel. You can tell that they put a lot of heart into the room. For the cost, we were more than pleased with what we recieved. Based on lights, we are sure there was another person in the room next to us, but we never heard any evidence of them. We did wish there was a mat to remove our wet shoes on, as we felt quite bad having to step on the carpet after walking in from the heavy rain. read more

Great value at $80/night for a very spacious room. It had a slip cover over the couch (great idea to be able to wash with covid), a tv in the front room, a tv in the bedroom, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It felt very clean and the woman at the front desk was great. Check in was at 4 PM and despite being a little early she let me check in ten mins early. The hotel is close to gas stations, bars & restaurants, and the North Cascades. I'll definitely stay here again in the future. Side note- check out Birdsview Diner 10 mins west. Just DON'T BOOK this place!!! Unfortunately they're not reliable. Booked 2 rooms 3 months in advance. While we were traveling far away from home with 2 small kids, they canceled our reservation in the morning the day we were supposed to arrive without providing any explanation. As we tried to call them (and also Booking.com representative), nobody answered. I really hoped they have some good reason and imagined their hotel burned down or something. But Booking.com representative told us that the reason for cancelation was overbooking! When you book hotel 3 months in advance you cannot accept same day cancelation due to overbooking!!! I agree with the previous 2 reviews regarding the woman at the reception room. Booked 3 nights here but we are leaving a day early. Got back from spending the day in North Cascades around 4 PM to find the room the way we left it. No fresh coffee cups or creamer, bed unmade, garbage cans not emptied. Went to the office to get more cups and mentioned to the woman there (assuming she is an owner) had been no maid service. I was told "Well you've only been here 1 night and we were busy with checkouts." Only 2 good things about this hotel is its proximity to North Cascades and 2 bars across the street. read more

I usually don't leave reviews as a travel agent. But here it goes I have stayed in this hotel every year since they opened up. Each year their has been some issues but this year was the absolute worst. We loved how convenient the hotel was to our dads shop and main street but here is the honest truth. The rooms are nice looking yes, the beds are comfortable except for the hideabed in the couch it was horrible and the couch was very uncomfortable. I had called ahead of time and told them that we would have 5 people and next extra bedding for the hideabed no extra sheets were given. The desk charged us an additional $10 per night for an extra guest past 4 people even though the room is a suite and easily sleeps 6. We always need the suite because it's the only handicap room and it's honestly not convenient for someone handicap any longer they have rearranged the room to make it very hard for someone handicap to get around. The gal who runs the front desk has been their for three years and each year seems to be a little more snooty. She commented to me that every year we have stayed we have left a mess. I said no we don't, each year I empty the garbages and put the towels together that are dirty and I have pulled the sheets off the bed for her to easily take them out and clean them and she proceeded to say yes you do you always leave a mess and if it's a mess again we will charge you. She then commented that they had a very expensive paint job done and to be careful with the walls again we are always carefully and treat the place great. I make sure all the dishes are fully cleaned and put away. She also told me that the room keys were $60 each and I better not loose them, I have never lost a room key in my life. I don't know what her problem is but she is a horrible person for guest services. This is officially our last time staying at this hotel. If I could give it a no star I would. read more

Zero stars if I could for the front office staff/manager. From beginning to end this person was rude, acted like I was a burden and had ZERO personable skills. We booked 2 rooms at this hotel last minute and overlooked that they had a no pet policy, but the way she handled is beyond me. Upon checking in she asked if we had any pets, I said yes. Sh** hits the fan and its not even the worst part. She said, "oh no, there is a zero pet policy, we do not take pets." She shoved a yellow sticky note in my face that stated if you booked before May we would honor your pet with a pet fee. I told her I would go outside and speak to my aunt and uncle who owned the dog. She is very tiny, hypo allergic, no shedding and a emotional service dog. They had the certificate/card to prove it. My uncle walked over there to speak with her and as soon as she saw him she said "Oh no, don't bring that dog over here. We have a no pet policy and we are full I am not cleaning up that dogs hair, im not dealing with it, oh no. we have 8 rooms booked and I have to clean them all." 1st WHO SAYS THIS TO GUEST? There is a way better way to handle this. She was out right OUTRAGGED that we had a dog. I mean you couldn't even say one word before she ranted about how they don't take dogs etc.. my husband had it with her attitude and told her she was being "nasty, no need to be nasty to us" She said your a bully and yelled have a good night about 10 times, slams the door, locks it and lurks behind a window. Hospitality is all about the guest and trying to accommodate, and I work in customer service. I know when I can't do something. I still try to find other options. She did not even offer us a nights stay beings we didn't have a pet. She basically threw us out, closed the door and said good bye. We found other accommodations which the front desk/manager WAS WAY NICER, appreciative that we checked in. The way it should be. There is so much more I want to say but NO one should ever work with the public acting the way she did. She showed a true disdain for animals and I'm sure she has horror stories to tell but we are not her past guest and she should've handled the situation appropriately. We are very reasonable people and this was unacceptable by far!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! read more
