We reached out to Cascade Tree Works about 8 months ago to inquire about a sick tree in our front yard. Richard came out and gave us his thoughts and some guidance to save it. He wouldn't take any payment for the visit despite our offers. So, in May we reached out to have all the trees in our backyard trimmed as they were due. Jay came out to handle that project. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and tremendously considerate of our home and property. The final result was amazing, and we couldn't be more pleased. They spent about five hours on the project and showed the care and precision characteristic of arborists. We will be using Cascade Tree Works exclusively for our trees and highly recommend them. read more

Since I can't directly reply to your reply to my review ... I will attempt to respond to your response here. First and foremost I called you folks the week prior to service because you were on my calendar for an appointment "early February-follow up". At which time I was told I would be contacted a few days ahead of time with an exact scheduling time. That never took place. Actually it did, but it was via email that went into my spam folder so I never saw it. I don't know to look for something if you don't know it exists. Hence my recommendation that when a person reaches out to you, you should contact them in a manner to which you are 100% sure they're able to get that message. An email many times goes into a spam folder, so if your client never confirms they got that email, another form/attempt to confirm they are good with the date and time is surely not unreasonable. My true first "notification" that you were showing up at my house Wednesday morning was a phone call five minutes prior saying we will "be there in five minutes". When in reality, my first notification was you guys knocking on my front door, because my phone is silenced until 7:30 and Gino called at 7:29 so that's zero advance notice. Again, because your email went to my spam folder. Second, the 3.5% might have been discussed in August but that was six months prior to the actual work date, you truly don't expect your client to remember the nuances of a conversation six months later, do you? My guess based on the email that went into my spam folder this is not the first time that has happened because the only two things mentioned in that "seven day" advance notice is a date/time to expect you guys and a reminder of the 3.5%. However, had I been given the notification the couple days prior as I was told I would've gone over that and I would've used the check to pay for the balance not my credit card. But because I was only given and I'm being gracious here five minutes notice I had no time to go over the "what to expect" portion of the document, which I didn't find until after your people were already gone and I had paid the balance. Five minutes is not prior notification in any business. As for an e-signature, that is different than consent over the phone. Over the phone is consent to do work, an e-signature is me actually signing something electronically via email. As I told the young lady over the phone, my e-signature is not "Deb Aylor". Which is why I know I never signed anything. Had the term they used been consented over the phone I would've acquiesced and agreed to that indeed I had done that I'll even give you a pass on the 3.5% being discussed at that time consent was given. My major concern is your company is still not acknowledging if you don't hear back from the client after sending an email seven days prior that you should indeed following up with a phone call/text message to be 100% sure your client is aware of the date and time of the appointment. Own it! It's not a confirmation of service until both parties agree the date and time works. An email from you saying this is when we are going to arrive is not your client saying great I agree that that works for me. It may work for you, but it may not work for them and with no confirmation from the other end, there is no agreement in place. Your lack of ownership on this point seems completely unprofessional to me. You keep insisting that you sent out notification which you did, but you got no permission for me and no agreement that time worked for me. Had I been given the notification I would've said could we do it the next day because my niece is going in for surgery and I'm going to have been up for 48 hours with little to no sleep and would like to sleep in on that day or could you come later in the day because that time doesn't work for me. I wasn't given that opportunity. You literally were at my front door before I knew to expect you that's unprofessional. read more

The estimator came out to the house promptly and the service to prune 3 trees in our yard was able to be scheduled within a couple of weeks. The company is very professional and lets you know the schedule, contacts you a couple days in advance to let you know when the crew might arrive, and they call again the day of the service and again 20 minutes before they show up! Their communication is so above and beyond that it is wonderful! And the crew are very knowledgeable about proper pruning and work safely and quickly. That's certainly why I chose to go with certified arborists and this company has got the best. They cleaned up afterwards and took away all the debris. Everyone should use them. read more

I emailed this business about a consultation to trim some trees, but never heard back from them. Then 9 days later, they finally emailed me back asking if I was 'still interested' in receiving services. I told them that, since they never replied to my initial email, I had gone with someone else. Jenny told me that they called and left me a voice mail. I don't even have a smart phone or any type of voice mail. I use a land line and if they DID indeed call me, all they would have gotten is garble...no dial tone. So it's impossible that they called and left a message on my non-existent voice mail. If they lie about something like this, I can easily imagine similar lies before, during, and after any job. read more

Great tree trimming company. They were super professional, did a quick service and cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend them!

We called for a tree trimming for a single tree next to the internet line that was causing problems. They couldn't come out for the estimate for two weeks. Spent almost half an hour looking at the single tree that we needed trimmed. Got an estimate for $500. They wanted us to accept the proposal before getting scheduled. And they wanted a credit card on file. To top that off, if we cancelled the appointment 48+ hours after scheduling, there's a $250 fee. AND they couldn't come out to actually do the job for two more weeks. Oh, and we would have needed the homeowners (who don't live in the state) to sign off on the estimate. Such crap. We called another place and had the whole thing done in a matter of days, for $200 less. Just wish I would have called the second place earlier. read more

Everything about this tree service was top notch. They communicated well. I even missed the quote email and they followed up on it. Everyone I spoke to was great, from the admins in the office to the gents cutting the trees. Very professional. I had a 40' tree removed and stump ground, and a 100' fir tree limbed up about 40'. -Waited for a quote for over a week. I had one 50 foot tree that needed one limb cut. It's a 20 min job at most. It's one cut...one limb. Done. Easy access as well. -They came back with a $450.00 minimum price. -Sunbelt Rentals rents a long reach forklift for $480.00 for a day use. -I questioned their pricing. $450.00 is nuts. Tried to negotiate $150.00 and mentioned the cost of a DIY forklift rental. -They replied "Sounds Good". That was it. So I asked what day and time. I thought $150.00 would work. -They replied back "Our minimum is $450.00". -Well which is it? Hello Heather, Your facts are not accurate.  I emailed the company and have provided a copy of the email, a full two weeks to cancel.  I also spoke with a member of your team one week before the appointment and told them of the email and the cancellation so I provide ample notice. I understand the concept you have in place but in a situation where you are overbooked and booked out 4 to 6 weeks and giving you 2 weeks notice I don't see how you can still justify this practice. I would prefer a situation where we can find a reasonable resolution and I can update all of my reviews and BBB complaint with the good news of a positive outcome. I would still like to speak with Greg as he did as me to call the company to resolve the "miscommunication" on my yelp review. read more

I had a small job and was under their minimum scope of work but they fit me in any way! I needed blueberry bushes trimmed and also 3 trees. They came out and did a professional job. I gotta say that I'm not entirely convinced all of these 5-star reviews are legit. I had a completely different experience with Cascade Tree Works. Heather, the owner's wife, was rude, condescending and not much fun to work with. Richard, on the other hand was amazing! He was professional and helpful; everything you want in an employee. Unfortunately, Richard secured our contract but Heather lit it on fire with her juvenile "sorry....(not sorry!") refusal to split the invoice between the three owners of our building. As annoying as that was it wasn't the reason we ran away from Cascade Tree Works. The very next day we received a stunning email from Heather. In this eloquent masterpiece she attempted to inform us that we didn't own our building and she would not issue an invoice in our name. (insert palm slap to the head) Wait! What? We don't own our building? Whoa! Where have all of our property taxes gone over the last 14 years? Have we been duped by the Clark County Assessor's Office? How could this be possible? Ummmm.....no....Heather just unmasked herself as the world's worst internet sleuth. AWKWARD! Lucky for us there was another arborist who was happy to accommodate our invoice needs. This was a bittersweet end because we loved Richard! Heather? Not so much. Three stars for Richard. I hope he jumps ship one day and finds a company that truly values his skills. CTW removed a large, dangerous tree from our property; because of the location of the tree and its condition, they had to crane it out in sections. We appreciated the quick hazard assessment and that they prioritized the removal, but there was a significant lack of communication from them leading up to and on the day of the removal. It was not clear who, if anyone, was in charge of the removal crew, and we were not consulted on several decisions which greatly impacted our bill. The crew left before completing the job, and we had to call and have them come back--twice--to get things finished. They clearly know what they are doing in terms of safely removing dangerous trees, but we were very disappointed with the lack of communication, that they left before the job was finished, and by the fact that the resulting bill was quite a bit more than the estimate. read more

So here is their pitch. " we are a small family owned business focused on high levels of customer service. We want you to have the same quality experience we would want and expect..." GAG! It ends up being one of those statements that causes you to throw up a little bit in the back of your throat. Do not trust the pitch or the owner for a second. First, they did not clean up after themselves. I spent two hours cleaning up after they left. Second, when they left, one of their drivers got the bright idea to back out of a field and ended up getting stuck. He all but rolled his truck 2x. He caused enormous damage to the land and just drove off like nothing happened. The sent an e-invoice the next day. I called and gave them my credit card info and asked to speak with the owner. I was told on two separate calls he was busy ... "really slammed" and would get back to me... nope. Three months later I get two invoices for their past services. I call and ask what the deal is. They say they never got paid... hummmm... Now I need to go back through months of transactions to make sure they never ran the transaction and to make sure they are not just trying to scam me for extra money. Nice! And by the way, not only did they not repair the damage. Their driver acknowledged the damage. They refuse to discuss it. The owner will not call me back and his wife says she never committed to having him call me. Quality and integrity all the way. If you want great quality and customer service, this is NOT the company you want to deal with. The pitch about being a quality oriented family business is a crock and a marketing scam. A comical response from the owner, just 1 problem, not a bit of truth to it, I promise you that. Never a bad word was spoken between me and any employee at Cascade. I was never charged a penny. I also never cancelled an appointment...all of this is completely ficticios. I can only assume it is part of a narrative the owner invented in response to an honest review of a client's poor customer service experience wth Cascade. It's awesome that the owner responded though...shows that he doesn't like negative reviews. I can only assume he is either a compulsive liar or he has me completly confused with some other client he got sideways with. We never had any tension, none. Your employees, were professional and courteous, as was I. Cascade simply neglected to provide a reasonable amount of service and now the owner is creating a untrue backstory that never happened. I wanted to give Cascade a simple job - tree removal from a residential neighborhood. I asked for a bid & Cascade said sure they would get back to me with a bid, but then 2 - 3 weeks later said they would have to charge me to provide me the bid...that was unreasonable & they wasting weeks of my time. I emphasized i just needed a bid but they would be hired to do the work. They wanted to be paid to provide an estimate. I took issue with that - end of story! No worries, I got it handled by a competitor who did great, got paid, everyone is happy. A suggestion: put your energy into figuring out how you can improve your company, your protocols, your customer experience rather than responding to reviews with why & how you did nothing wrong...or even worse creating a new narrative that never happened, your clients deserve better. Improvement and care, thats all anyone wants. Your clientele deserve to be cared for and when you do that you will feel better about the company you built & the service you provide. Called Cascade Tree Works after observing their work on a neighbor's tree. I found their work excellent. The bid given was competitive with another tree service in the area, also with a good reputation. Since I had seen the crew in action already, I chose Cascade Tree Works to remove my Big Leaf Maples. The crew arrived on time, and asked questions before beginning to make sure we had the same expectations/goals. The crew constantly communicated together; all positive. Not a swear word to be heard. Great job taking down the tree but I have had the worst luck with their stump grinding. Last year they didn't grind it all the way down but came out and made it right. Decided to try them again and stopped grinding when they saw a sprinkler head. I told them the water was off and to grind through since the line is already broken but they did not . Came back out and made it right and did a great job getting the rest of it and we can now get to the sprinkler line to repay it!! read more

I initially got Cascades info from positive comments on the Nextdoor Neighbor App. After receiving two bids I decided to go with Cascade and was not disappointed. Cascade Tree Works did a wonderful job in removing three trees and trimming up another. The one they trimmed up is a HUGE cedar that blocks our living room window with its enormous height and hug branches.. We had them remove quite a few branches so that we could see completely out the window and now you can also see the house from outside! They don't use spikes to trim up your large trees but rather a hoisting system around the arborist and a series of ropes to hoist him up the tree plus ropes to wrap around the branches that get cut so that they can be taken down gently and not fall freely hurting anything you might have below. They did a lot of work in an efficient amount of time and cleaned up all branch debris before they left. They even sawed the trees they took down into lengths for firewood! My thanks to Collin, Zack, Gino, Jeremy and Mike for excellent work and a job well done. We will definitely be calling you guys again. Thank you! read more

Very nice guys, who actually want to go to work, and enjoy what they do. Very professional, and prompt. I personally have gone by the motto for life of: "Where to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is inexcusable." Greg and his team showed up early which is a plus in my book. It was a mini adventure for the day to watch them cut down our ~100 ft. tall walnut tree. Precise and brutal work to land each limb carefully to the ground without disturbing any of our (or our neighbors) property. For as dirty of a job it was, they actually managed to keep a neat and orderly work site. Price was no more or less then the 3 other quotes I received from other arborists. That being said, Cascade Tree Works stood out from the rest by having a honest willingness and appreciation for the work that they do, and gave me a sense of the "Mom and Pop" business attitude that I grew up with.
