I have straight…read moreMedicare but it still took four months to complete a referral from my primary, and that's only because I called them. First call = 24 minutes on hold before answering. First appointment one month out. I received calls and texts for four days warning me that if I was late or missed the appointment I would be charged an additional $150.00. I was told to go online and complete the per-appointment registration, which was 80% financial and 20% medical information. Day of appointment I arrived 45 minutes early, front desk folks were very polite and quick. The surgeon was right on time. He saw me for three minutes, 20-second exam fully clothed, and gave me a tentative diagnosis, but wanted a CT to be sure. He told me the CT had to be "approved", but I have straight Medicare, no secondary. No per-authorization needed. A week out, still waiting for the doc to order the CT (and crreatinine) . I called today (16 minutes on hold) and the doc will only be in one day, next week, and he will then be gone for two weeks.. I'm going to cal my primary doc and see if he will order the blood test and the CT. This thing hurts and I need to get back to work. Could the fact that I only have straight Medicare and no secondary coverage, meaning I will have to pay 20% out of pocket, and I'm on a fixed income because I can't work until I get the surgery, and probably won't be able to pay the full 20%, be a reason for the delay? Is that the "per-authorization" (aka; "wallet biopsy") he was talking about? Maybe, after having nearly $40.00 deducted from my paycheck every two weeks for the Medicare Tax, for my entire career, I should go to Canada to get timely health care?

Her enthusiasm for making certain that she listens to the patient and truly understands the issues is rare and much appreciated. I have taught nursing and advanced nursing practice and Niki exemplifies the best of what I hope my former students have achieved. As a result of Niki's interest and interventions, the problem I had is now greatly reduced and more under control. I believe I have a true advocate in Niki and am so very pleased we have connected. When the occasion arises, and someone asks for a recommendation, I will rapidly suggest they schedule an appointment specifically with her. I have been a patient here for several years now. But not anymore because they will not see me…read moresince they became part of the Asante group because they don't take medicare advantage plan. They have said that because I won't change my insurance to one they accept they can no longer see me even though I do have medicare. I offered to pay cash for visits but they said that they still can not see me because I still have medicare. I have a perscription that has no refills left on it and I have no way to get it filled. It really sucks because there are no other gastroenterology providers in the Medford area. I was told that there were approximately 200 patients they dropped because of the insurance we have. Pretty sad when they think it is okay to drop us if we don't change our insurance to one they accept. I will never go to any Asante facility or recommend it to anyone at all in the future. Not a good look for a regional hopital at all.

Didnt want to even try to figure out what the problem was. Cora Haze is the only one that stuck with it and worked day after day, month after month, year after year to figure out my issues. The staff is wonderful always supportive and go above and beyond. I have never experienced a dr office like this one. Would reccomend to anyone.

At first I was a little skeptical, as I was concerned if I would get the level of care, for a set monthly fee, as I would from a traditional medical practice. Now, a year later, my concerns were completely unfounded. The level of care and service I get from Jarrod is really quite exemplary.
