Good veterinarian. Great service - small independent business. They take the time to explain, answer questions. They let you in the exam room while checking your pet and giving vaccinations, treatments, etc. This means a lot to me, as my pets are very pack-oriented and extremely stressed out at the vet's. The other place I used to patronize, rhymes with Scamfield, is terrible - they won't examine the pets with you in the exam room anymore, they whip through the exam like it's flipping burgers at a fast-food restaurant - missing basic items. I started going to Cascades because the vet on duty at (rhymes with) Scamfield denied my dog had an ear infection and a growth on his foot. Cascades Pet Hospital diagnosed my pup with significant ear infection in *both* ears and showed me through the oto-scope just how bad it was. The other guy argued with me, saying his ears are fine - even when I told him to simply smell the dogs ears (rancid). Cascades also diagnosed the growth on his paw - prescribed an antibiotic and cleansing paw wipes to use for two week. Growth faded and went away. Pupper is in great health at his physical a few months later. I will continue to use Cascades. read more

Had a work emergency come up and called 3 hours before my appointment to reschedule. The receptionist said I had no record for an appointment and couldn't find me in the system. Then hours later they called while I was working to ask where I was, AFTER I had already called to cancel. Then they charged me the deposit for the appointment. Can't even imagine how awful they would do caring for your pet when they can't even handle clients in the system properly -- they also have zero empathy for emergencies. Go somewhere else. read more

They gave me an estimate for 550 and then I went in to pick up my dog after he had stitches and they charged me 850. Charging $300 more than the estimate is unreasonable. That's a significant amount more than the estimate. read more

My little angel got spayed here- and they did an amazing job. FIRST of all they charge a FRACTION of what other vets in the area charge- I'm talking like 1/3. Additionally they involved me every step of the way, calling with frequent updates and providing the personal touch that made me feel comfortable trusting everything they were doing. Afterwards they provided me a 24/7 number to reach them at with any questions. I previously went to another vet in the area- but am considering changing them to my primary vet because of how cost effective they are for the same services. 5 stars! read more

I wanted to share how wonderful Dr. Saini was in helping my friend and her mother through a very difficult time. This morning they lost their beautiful fur baby named Puppy. She was 11 years old and had a heart condition and was on medication. She peacefully passed away. I took my friend and Puppy to Cascades Pet Hospital. Dr Saini was very compassionate and took time to show different remembrance examples for Puppy. I was so impressed to see his gentleness in carrying for Puppy and my friend. Dr. Saini is the worst ! He doesn't care about your pet. He will invent ways to charge as much money as he can. I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning but was told that he couldn't do it because the blood work came back too high. I was charged $320 for this visit and was sent home with medication and was told to come back in 14 days for teeth cleaning . I did ask if I would get charged full amount for teeth cleaning and he offered to take off 49.99 for exam fee. Something didn't feel right to me so I sent the diagnosis to another vet to review and I was told that the blood work was not that high where he could not clean his teeth and the amoxicillin that Dr. Saini had me purchase would have been prescribed after anyways. The vet also told me that she sees that rimadyl was going to be prescribed to my dog after teeth cleaning and that it would have been fatal because my dog is on prednisone. Apparently it would have caused holes in his GI tract. This is unbelievable because I told the receptionist 3 times and wrote on his form that he was on prednisone and please make no meds are prescribed that will not work with it. I called him to question him and he just started yelling and talking over me and ultimately hung up on me. So I'm out $320 for I don't know what. Read all the reviews. I wish I had done so. Apparently it has happened to others. Dr.Saini is not a veterinarian he is a thief. In response to Jessie ( business employee) I was never told about 320 before procedure was done, If anything I thought something wasn't right but didn't complain about the cost because my dog is my world. Going with my gut feeling I got a second opinion and that's when I started having questions. And as for u accusing me of yelling first , That is a blatant lie. Dr. Saini wouldn't even let me finish my concern when he started yelling and cutting me off . He was so defensive. I asked him politely to please hear me out before yelling , and he said ok . I got couple sentences in before he started yelling and talking over me again. That is when I started yelling back out of frustration and disbelief that a professional would act this way..So for you to tell me that I didn't act professional? It's Dr.Saini that is not professional or righteous. I wasn't surprised when I was reading the reviews that there were others that felt they got taken advantage of and he also yelled at others without trying to listen. This place attempted to charge me $350 for service that only cost me $150 only 7 miles up the road. It's incredulous that they would first post a response inaccurately focusing on how many times I called. Then change their response to justify OVER twice the cost because they're in a different town. Please stop attempting to hide the ball. This vet gets people through the door touting the lowest office visit in the area at $49.95 then attempts to sucker folks into paying upwards of 3x the regular cost of medications and other unnecessary fees. It's not their first time doing it. There's another review out there for someone who purchased a Groupon and then was charge more money when he walked through the door. And you can't have it both ways. Either you or the lowest cost in the area or you're not. But don't try to change the area, after the fact, to say Ashburn is technically another town so you can't really compare us to them. It's 7 miles away and absolutely worth the drive if you're saving $200. Not only that, let me just add that I paid Cascades $106 for doing nothing but causing my dog to howl and scream in the back. And charging me $13 PER WRITTEN PRESCRIPTION because I refused to buy the drugs from them is outrageous. This is the only vet I have ever experienced do this. It is understood whether it's an animal doctor or human doctor that your office visit includes a script for any prescriptions that might be needed. If you choose not to get those prescriptions at the actual doctors office, it is your right to get that prescription written and get it elsewhere. Let's not confuse the issue here. They are attempting to hijack your wallet as soon as they entice you through the door with the lowest office visit cost "in the area." At the end of the day it was still a win for me. I found a more reputable veterinary clinic in the area and still paid less than $350 for both visits combined. After having such a horrifying experience there was no way I was taking my dog home assuming that he had gotten the best care. It was worth my peace of mind to take him somewhere reputable and I walked away with prescriptions at the price they should've been charged in the first place. read more

Dr. Saini and his team have worked with two of our pets. The first was our dog, and we desperately needed to find a vet who could come to our house because he was large and couldn't stand up. Not only did Dr. Saini come to us, he did it willingly and did not make us feel bad for dragging him out to our house :). The second experience was with our 16 year old cat who was in very poor shape when we brought her in (we actually came here from another local vet when we had run out of options there). She wasn't eating, weighed 3.5 pounds, and was on the brink of death. In addition to everything else, Dr. Saini taught us himself how to force feed her until she could start eating again and this alone bought her more time (we had been trying before but it wasn't working somehow). He has continued to provide care for her and I am convinced that without his help, she would not be here today. There is a friendly atmosphere at the clinic and Dr. Saini and his staff have been patient with us and have answered all our (many, many :)) questions. Thank you so much to all of you!! read more

My husband and I adopted our now 6 year old cat in 2019 and since, she has become a very important part of our family. I have been taking her to a specialized cat clinic for all of her vaccines and wellness checks since we adopted her, but at her last visit, we got some news that she had a broken tooth that they would need to extract. The quote I was given by her original vet was way out of our price range. I saved up for 3 months to be able to take her there, just to be told that there were additional fees on top of the quote they had given. I contacted Cascades and Dr. Saini was happy to talk me through the quote he was giving, which was significantly lower than her regular vet and I understood that since he was giving the quote based off what I was telling him, that there was a chance it cold be more. I was only providing him with the information given to me and even her regular vet said that there were probably additional teeth that needed to be pulled. He was able to squeeze us in to do the entire appointment the next day which was absolutely fantastic. Her original vet was going to have to send out her bloodwork so it was going to be an additional month before she could get the tooth removed. Dr. Saini has the ability to process the bloodwork on site for faster results. After talking with him and his staff I felt comfortable bringing her there. Halfway through her appointment he called me to provide me with an update. Years of neglect on her teeth had given her multiple cavities and tooth fractures. He was able to complete all of this extra work (4 additional extractions) for under the cost of what the original quote for one tooth from her primary vet was. I was able to pick her up same day and she is doing very well after the surgery. You can tell she may be uncomfortable, but she feels so much better with these teeth out. I didn't want to skimp on cost because of how important she is to us, but I knew this tooth had to go and we had already put it off for so long to save. The day after her procedure he called to check up on her which really meant a lot. I will be taking her to see him moving forward. I will recommend him to anyone that asks. I live in Maryland but have found Cascades to so responsive that I drive out to them. They got the root of a problem with my cat's ear that other vets had only treated superficially, leading to on-going pain and even surgery. They fit us right in on an urgent basis when I explained the situation, when several other vets wanted us to wait a couple weeks. And they have followed up to make sure she's doing OK. read more

Very disappointed in this practice. At first, we were happy with the veterinarian and his staff. His son was extremely warm and helpful throughout our 3 visits in 3 weeks. We initially saw them as an emergency visit on Christmas, and were pleased with them, so decided to return when she still wasn't 100% and showing other signs. She's now been 3x in 3 weeks and on almost 10 medicines. This is not their fault as she was pretty sick. What is frustrating is their inability to let us use Chewy.com to help with some of the financial burden of the visits. We priced the meds and they were 82 dollars vs their 240 price tag (same meds). They refused to sign off for chewy. This is an ethical issue as he refused to give a prescription knowing he's making 3x the amount of money by us using them vs a different source. This ethical issue is something that could be brought vs his medical license if pursued further. Also, she has a pretty bad lump from an injection site that she's never had from other vets giving vaccines. Do not use this practice. read more
