Used this company for cleaning ducts in our warehouse and the tech ended up damaging a gas line during the process which caused $1k's in damage and repair. Eddie, the main contact over there, has ignored my calls and emails. Terrible service. We found this vendor through Home Depot, and will never use them again, and do NOT recommend this service. Moving in to a new home, and scheduled a "deep clean." We have a pet sensitive to chemicals, so we figured that might as well just have a professional come in and sanitize/scrub the home before we got there. $350/hour for the first 4 hours, followed by $80/hour every subsequent hour. 3BD-1.5BA Dining, and Kitchen. Eddie sold the service as "we do everything," just sign the quote so we can schedule. Signed the quote, and got their arrival time. Day prior, at 9PM, I needed to call him to confirm a time frame, since he did not. The time frame was completely changed from what was quoted 4 days prior. Arrival window was now 12:00-12:30, but the team didn't arrive 'til after 2PM, with no notice from Eddie, until I called and asked where they were. The team started upstairs and worked their way down. They were quite slow, but were chugging along, so I didn't say anything; the home was quite dirty. They spent about 4 hours on the second floor bathroom and two bedrooms, and then sped through the first floor in just over an hour. When they left, we inspected their work. The appliances, inside of closets, cabinets, or floor mop were not completed. Eddie said that this was because it was not selected in the quote that I signed- despite explicitly explaining that we needed a full inside and out clean. Team left at about 7:00, 5 hours. In addition to not doing the above, the team missed large areas of the kitchen, didn't clean the floors, and barely wiped down the outside of cabinets. Eddie was notified and came out the next day at no charge to inspect the work, said they didn't do a good job, dusted a bit, and left. He left his mess on the floor and didn't bother sweeping or mopping after himself. The receipt came along with the credit card charge, and we were over charged by an hour, and Eddie did not respond to my request for a refund for this phantom hour. As we continued to move through our home, we have to clean what this vendor did not. Floors were filthy, cabinets not cleaned, and just overall bad service. They didn't show up for my estimate appointment! Eddie called me at 9:40 this morning to let me know that he would be about 15 minutes late for our 10:00 appointment. Since my husband and I are out of state, my mother-in-law was going to meet with him for us. When he was still not there at 10:30, I called his secretary to check on his status. She said that he just left (although he had told me he was leaving at 9:40), and should be there any minute. She gave me his cell number, which I called approximately 5 times with no answer. I called his secretary back at 11:00, and she said she could not get in touch with him either, but she would keep trying. At 11:15, I finally told my mother-in-law that she should leave, because I was not going to hire a company that treated us like that on the first meeting. I would not recommend them to anyone! On the one hand, the cleaners made my microwave super shiny, the refrigerator door very clean and the counter was spotless. But that's not what I asked them to do. I asked them to clean the tops of the cabinets, the walls, windows, top of refrigerator. All points where cooking grease had built up. When I checked after they left, the tops of the cabs and fridge had black grease in all corners and the surfaces were left very greasy. Additionally, they vigorously scrubbed my chrome-paint soap dispenser and scrubbed the paint off. I took photos of everything, including the streaks my fingers left in the greasy surface and sent to the cleaner. No one got back to me. $100 for me to have to wash everything myself and now have to replace the soap dispenser on my own time and dime. Won't make that mistake twice. read more

I am writing this with a warning. Don't use this company!!!! Oh my STARS I have never experienced such an unprofessional company, from soup to nuts. i really thought considering that Mr. Casella himself showed up to do a consultation with me for a duct cleaning and carpet deodorization, that his team would be as pro as he was. He was cocky and terse, but at least he showed up ready to do the deal. Well i was wrong. Team showed up nearly 1.5 hours late, and it's actually through no fault of their own, because no one at Casella HQ told them when to show up, and told us between 8-9. Even though Mr. Casella himself walked through my home and counted the air ducts and laid out the plans, no one who arrived here today was aware of how many ducts they were to clean. A major drama unfolded outside the home because of how unprofessional this was and they almost walked off the job. No one knew what to do, no one had any word of the job, no one knew what to do. Mr. Casella basically said, if I didn't like them, they could just leave and I could find someone else. This, after I was already waiting for them 1.5 hours. In addition, because it wasn't explained by Casella Cleaners that one team would be doing the ducts and the other would be doing the rug, I didn't understand why two people alone showed up. What I thought would be one crew doing everything in tandem, is now two separate crews, the other with an ETA time, that no one knew. I was fuming. To their credit, Victor and Pablo, the team that actually came to do this job, were very nice, and frankly, they looked overworked and tired, and that working there was harder than need be. It was a massively unfair situation to both of them, but THEY did a fantastic job. That is why there is one star here and no NO stars. The two of them were great. The two of them deserve medals of honor. Their bosses and Admin Staff however, are another story. It was now 3:30PM and they were still cleaning the air ducts, and I was still waiting on crew two. Casella's Admin staff called me to let me know, that their truck broke down, and could they come tomorrow. I said sure, provided I get a MASSIVE discount for the job. He was only willing to remove a pittance. Needless to say, I cancelled crew two. There is just about anyone, who could be a more professional option than Casella. Don't...do it. Short version: If they clean houses the way they run their office and customer service, you don't want them anywhere near your house. Long version: About a month ago I bought a Groupon for several cleanings from Casella and thought that it would be a great way to get my house ready for the holidays. I called them first thing Monday morning to schedule my first cleaning. Naturally, they needed some information about my house so that they would know what to expect. Instead of just collecting this information on the phone, they told me that because they have made "too many mistakes" when doing it this way, these days they do it like this: 1: during the customer's first phone call, ask customer for their email address 2: email customer a form (located at Google docs) 3: assume customer can edit that form (I had to import it and use Open Office) and return it to them in a format they can read (I had to send my form to them twice) They also asked me to send them a copy of the Groupon. Would a link to the PDF be ok, I asked? Sure. Ok, fine - I sent them the link, I filled out the form and emailed it back to them as an attachment. They couldn't open the attachment, could I send it in a different format? Fine. They couldn't access the link to my voucher, could I send it as an attachment? Fine. I did that. Then I waited... and waited... The next day, Tuesday, I emailed them to remind them that I was trying to schedule an appointment. Eddie responded via email, telling me that I should call them on the phone and ask for Caroline. The NEXT day, Wednesday afternoon, I called again to try to schedule a cleaning. They told me that Caroline wasn't there, and not one person in their office other than Caroline could handle scheduling. They suggested that I leave a phone message, so I did. And waited... SO... By Thursday morning, Caroline had still not returned my call. I called again, and this time I reached her. One would think this would have resulted in her finally scheduling my first appointment - right? Think again. Caroline told me that before making any promises, she would have to check with someone, and then call me back. Call me back BY WHEN, I asked? Noon, she said. So I waited... It's now 9pm. Don't let Casella waste your time the way they wasted mine. It only took a matter of minutes for Groupon to fully refund my purchase price. read more

I had purchased a Groupon for 3 sessions and had asked them to come any Monday or Friday. They got back to me after several days and kept offering every single day except for the Monday or Friday I asked for. Finally I got so fed up that I told them to just come any day or any time that worked. This past week alone they did not show up on Tuesday (the day THEY PICKED) and I got an email that someone called out sick. They then offered to come on Thursday, to which they never showed up. They then suggested Friday and again I got home today and yet again no one showed up. I called group on who said they had no complaints on this service (obviously incorrect based on other yelp reviews) and said they would get back to me. 5 years ago I had Casella clean my home and they were wonderful. I only had the service for a year and was now looking for a cleaner again. Casella was first on my list of places to call. I was a bit worried about seeing some of these reviews so I also interviewed two other cleaning companies. Eddie showed up for our appointment on time, and thoroughly explained the cleaning process as well as their review process. After each cleaning they leave an evaluation sheet for you to fill out so they know if anything is not up to your standards. I finally decided to go with Casella and hoped that things would be just like 5 years ago. I setup my initial "deep cleaning". WOW! what amazing job they did. Everything sparkled from floor to ceiling. I have since had my usual weekly cleaning and again they really do everything they say they will. My house smells so nice when I walk in and everything is neat and tidy. My granite counters are so shiny and the kids love that they set their dolls up nicely. :) As a former customer and now a repeat customer, I think you cannot go wrong here. read more

We bought a groupon for this company and I have been nothing but disappointed and irritated with the service. The scheduling process was painful: I could not get anyone to call me back - a message was met with an email response every time. When I did speak with someone i was told "Let me check and I'll call you back" - she never did, only email. When I gave a (week) window of dates that I wanted someone to come, I was offered a day the week before. When I finally scheduled my appointment, I had to call and email several times in order to get the time window. I worked from home so someone would be home in my 1-2pm window. At 1 I got an email from the scheduler that they would be there closer to 2. They didn't arrive until 3 - I was informed of their proximity with an email from the scheduler. AN EMAIL!!! Finally, when someone showed up, there were 2 people cleaning for 2 hours - our 1-BR apartment is 650 sq feet - and I was somewhat disappointed. Whoever did the bedroom and living room did a pretty good job but some of the shelves were still "I didn't even bother" dusty. The kitchen, however - which I EXPRESSLY communicated several times was my priority - was a huge disappointment. One of my counters was not fully clean. The floors were not clean, the ergo-mats I have in front of the oven and sink were not moved. In the process of cleaning the oven, the mats became MORE dirty. There was cleaning stuff residue in the oven, the side of the fridge wasn't touched, etc. I plan on re-cleaning many parts of the kitchen and bathroom to make up for it. I had plans which I canceled and could not go out because I was waiting for these people This has happened once before with them as well. He told me there was an email sent to me at 9 am and a phone call message saying they could not make it and had to reschedule. I quadruple checked my email and junk mail and there was no email. Furthermore, I had no voicemails or missed calls from the company. The only reason I used them is because I had a groupon. Groupon was great and offered me a full refund within minutes. No thank you. I bought a deal from Dealfind for Casella Cleaning. When I called to make an appointment, the secretary told me she has to send a form in email and when i complete it i should email it back to her. That email never came so i called again, this time I spoke with a men who did sent the email and told me to attach a copy of the voucher as well. In the document they sent to me i had to fill out a bunch of ??? , one of which was the credit card# , now this deal is prepaid so why credit card is needed? Cleaning crew showed up 3 1/2 hours late at 5:30 pm. We did not want them there at that time as we were scheduled for 2pm, and it was a busy time- dinner, etc. Eddie refused to refund the $100.00 I was charged for that day, even though we did not receive a cleaning, and even though he verbally said that he would refund because he agreed that 5;30pm was too late and inconvenient. Awful company! Worst house cleaning of an empty house. Not that they had much to do because I was having the house cleaned prior to moving in. First they showed up two hours late. I had called twice to find out where they were and was told I would get a discount for them being late. Then there was cobwebs still in the corners, dead bugs, dust all over the place. They charged me more than my contract with them was for and now all they said they want to do is give a 20$ refund from a 170$ charge. We have been using Casella for atleast five years. They come every other week. My house looks and smells great everytime they come. They clean everything, the woodwork, moldings, and everything else. On one occasion we were not as happy and they were responsive, even offering to come back. We prefer they use our own vacuum and micro fiber cloths we leave out. Maybe the problem is in the getting started stage but once they are cleaning your house, they are very good. read more

And in response to the person who called Groupon and they said that there were no complaints-- I complained back in March They do not call you back, cancel appointments, and do not show up for appointments. Mr. Casella & his staff have been wonderful to work with. Scheduling has never been an issue, as a matter of fact, when I have had to reschedule for my convenience they have been fabulous. Especially in preparation for the holidays and parties. Cleaning is thorough, and they are especially accommodating with my special requests with products. I never write reviews BUT I have to this time. I found Casella after a search for a company to clean my dryer duct. They got back to me pretty quickly and said they would send a quote. No further instructions. I received several calls over the course of the next day, while I was at work mind you so I could not check my phone, about getting the estimate back to them. I eventually did and we scheduled the appointment for later that week. They were very prompt, arrived right on time. That's where the good parts end. They pulled apart my dryer duct work and cleaned out the lint and other assorted gunk. The worker, who was thorough, showed me all of the stuff they cleaned out. He then said he would take a check for the work. I did not get a receipt on the spot nor via mail or e-mail. I went to use my dryer a few days later and the duct work was not properly reattached. After making a call, they had someone out the next morning. This time they were a half hour late. The person told my mother, who was house sitting for me while I was at work, that it was fine and they dryer worked. He didn't notice the duct work. When she showed him, he reattached and left. I got home to find the duct work separating in the middle. It had been supported by a wire to the 2x4 in the ceiling of our basement. He did not bother to reattach, or even check, that area. It was collapsing because the joint is dead center and there is no support. If I had run the dryer, it would have all gotten backed up right there. The tape job they put over the joint was sloppy too. I will not be using them again. read more

Unprofessional, dishonest, incompetent and rude are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when describing Casella Cleaning Services. My experience right from the start with Casella Cleaning was TERRIBLE. Trying to set up a schedule and contract with Eddie Casella was an unpleasant and aggravating experience. I spoke to Eddie on several occasions as he never seemed to get anything straight (every 1-2 minutes he would put me on hold) and each time he was rude and arrogant. But, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as they are a small local business. The first cleaning session crew did not show up on time and they left early without cleaning my house satisfactorily (ex. Counters still had crumbs on them). I got no response from Casella Cleaning about this issue. At the next cleaning session the crew showed up over 3 hours early and argued with me when I asked if they could return at the scheduled time (isn't that what schedules are for?) as I had an appointment. They came back late and only cleaned my house for 1 hour and did not vacuum well, did not clean the kitchen or use cleaning products in the bathrooms. I called and left voicemails for Casella but they were not returned. When I did finally get to speak with Juliana (who was very rude) after calling them for several days she would transfer me back and forth to different people, but would never let me speak with Eddie Casella. Long story short, I have not received an apology (or re-cleaning as promised in their contract) for these major inconveniences or an assurance it would be done properly in the future. I have not received a refund either. All they do is argue with you and lie about conversations/events when you speak to them on the phone. I will NEVER being doing business with this company again! My husband and I decided to give Casella a try to make our lives a little easier. Eddie came out on time to make an estimate and talked the company up, promising our complete satisfaction. I stayed at the house the first time they came out; I was trying to get some work done in our home office and one of the ladies was talking my ear off about her personal issues at home, etc: it was awkward. Then she says "please don't tell Eddie I've been chatting with you, I'm not supposed to talk to clients anymore because people had been complaining!" (I can see why!) They did a good job but throughput the course of the time we hired them, they has two no shows and one time showed up when they weren't scheduled. The 2nd time was the last straw; the receptionist blamed it on a computer error, but we were done. In retrospect, they charged more than they should and cannot be trusted to show up when they're supposed to. I would stay away from this company! read more

We started using Casella a few months ago and I'm very happy with the quality of their work. I'm so glad I did not read the reviews before going with them because I would have probably been scared off from a great service. I had no trouble scheduling my first cleaning and they did an EXCELLENT job. Now they come every other week within only a few minutes of their scheduled time and my house has been spotless. We had one complaint about them not getting the dog hair out of the rugs and they responded immediately--even offered to come back that day! We told them that was not necessary, but they promised they would bring a better vacuum next time...and they did. We've had no complaints about the rugs since then. The big blizzard a few weeks ago fell on one of their scheduled days. Obviously, they didn't come out that day (they called to let us know), but they came out three days later and then resumed their regular schedule. They do an excellent job cleaning my kitchen (it is left spotless), bathrooms, they even make the beds and organize my kids' rooms. It is so nice to finally enjoy my weekends and have family time with my kids and husband instead of spending my whole weekend cleaning! A great service! read more

I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but this has been the most infuriating experience of poor customer service I have ever experienced, so I feel this review is warranted. I bought the Groupon for 3 cleaning services. Scheduling the first service, which was frustrating enough, should have been the first clue. I had to call several times because I was either A) transferred to a voicemail after speaking to a live person or B) transferred to another person because the person I was speaking to did not know how to schedule an appointment. Finally, after many tries, I was able to schedule a cleaning for two weeks later. However, on that day, the cleaning team showed up an hour late from the hour-long appointment window. They were scheduled to show between 2 and 3, but they showed up at 4, which made me late for a personal appointment. Skip to scheduling the 2nd cleaning, which was just as difficult, and AGAIN they were late! I realize that there are hindrances such as traffic; however, all I ask is for some customer service. Call to let me know you will be late, at least. But no, I have to call several times to ask where they are, as again, I was late to a personal appointment because I was waiting on them. fter building a million dollar home, we hired Casella Cleaning to do "post construction" cleaning. Our kitchen consists of high gloss black cabinets and Viking appliances throughout. Casella's crew used rags that either were dirty or had some sort of abrasive material on it. Every surface in our kitchen was destroyed with scratches. Our black gloss cabinets and all of our Viking appliances were completely ruined. The damage is in excess of $15k to replace the kitchen cabinet and appliance doors. Although we contacted the owner and he said he would do anything to repair the damage, when he heard the cost he said sorry," I don't have that kind of money". Although he is very successful, spends months traveling to Brazil, we are left with thousands of dollars in damage to our brand new home. The most troubling was that Casella presented an insurance certificate representing coverage; however, we were informed that "workmanship" is not covered under this policy and is an exclusion allowing the insurance company and Casella to not be responsible for his actions, even though liability was clearly established. We are now forced to file a lawsuit ourselves in court and hope for a successful outcome. Lastly, beware that is you follow his girls throughout the house, room to room, you will be paying for them to be on their cell phones instead of cleaning. I had them start in December. Immediately had billing problems, I left a check every week for the previous week. They charged my credit card as well! I spoke with Eddie, told him I'm not charging it, I would pay weekly. Then, a couple of weeks in, the cleaners visits were getting shorter and shorter, therefor, the job sloppily done. One particular visit, they were here for less than 1/2 hour!!! My 25 year old daughter was home at the time. I called Eddie, he said they would come back that weds, there would be no charge. On weds, I boarded my dogs. They never showed up! I called there when I got home from work. Eddie told me the girls were stuck in a snow bank, could they come Friday? I said no, keep it my regular Monday. He said, " there will be no charge," and I told him, that's right, I'm not paying for a shitty job. So, each week, it got worse. Then, I realized they applied 2 payments towards those dates that I wasn't paying. I cancelled my service. Then, months later, in July 2014, I saw my cc statement. He frigging charged my card for 2 visits! I called, I filed a fraud claim with the card, he emailed me this "We have already authorized this charge to be credited back on your account again because I don't want to hurt my business name with I have built with a very hard working during the last 14 years. I did check your account 3 times and I asked my CPA to do same, your account had the open balance we did not made any mistake but I will authorize the credit back to your card anyway. I'm stunned to see the negative reviews. I can say honestly that any concern or issue that arose when I used them previously was immediately addressed. Worst cleaners, worst customer service ever. Avoid this bait and switch king. The owner claims to be an expert and can assess how long it will take to clean your home without ever visiting the property. The cost of the first visit is 3 times higher than weekly pricing because they have not cleaned it before. Casella quotes an hourly rate so the slower they clean, the more they can charge you. After cleaning slowly for 2 weeks the low teaser rate gets increased by 50% to accommodate for the extra time needed to clean. Although Casella claims to be insured, they never provided me with any documentation after multiple requests. What's worse is that they chipped the edge of my granite countertop and did not take any responsibility at all. They didn't even return my calls or emails for a week to address my concern. They were supposed to show up to clean, the appointment was confirmed but then since the owner did not want to pay to repair my counter, he claimed he could no longer service my property. The owner is a liar and a thief. Avoid this business at all costs. read more

I purchased a groupon for casella cleaning, and while the service was great, they charged me extra for it, despite it being something I had paid for already. Be wary of purchasing groupons and the like, because you might end up doubling your payment. Not worth it. They are also very hard to schedule. read more

Please do not use this business for residential cleaning. They evaluated my home and promised my home would be cleaned in the manner we agreed upon and they did not complete the cleaning correctly once in 6 visits. read more
