If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I started seeing Dr. Berkebile around 2 years ago now for my MCAS, at the request of my allergist to seek more holistic and natural pathways for treatment since he could only do so much. Previously, I was always met with a laundry list of excuses and medications with equally long lists of side-effects to just treat my symptoms. To say I was done with feeling helpless in my own health journey is an understatement. Finding Naturopathic Family Health - and more specifically, Dr. Berkebile - was nothing short of divine intervention. After our first phone call, I knew that this was the right choice for me. Dr. Berkebile dove in head first to my whole background; where I grew up, how long I had been dealing with MCAS symptoms, etc. She did not immediately throw up medications and road blocks - she listened to my concerns and found symptoms I had no idea were not normal for a 27 year old working in tech. We found my root cause after some testing and began treating that with supplements, lifestyle changes, some changes to my diet, and a focus on remembering that I was making progress - even if I felt I should be seeing faster changes. While it has not always been an upward trajectory because health is not linear, two years later, I am a completely different person health wise, with a pretty strong handle on my MCAS symptoms - something that used to run my life on a daily basis. I started seeing Dr. Berkebile a few years ago for infertility support via telehealth. She had experience with PCOS which was the main problem that I wanted to address. I saw her a bit late in my infertility journey but I believe her recommendations had a positive influence on my success with IVF and also getting pregnant naturally. She supported me with supplements and made some diet recommendations. By the time I started seeing her, I was already making plans for IVF and very stressed. She took all of that into account and knew the limits on what to recommend to me at that time. She was the only ND that really tailored recommendations to where I was in my path. Another thing that she does well is she really treats the whole person. I was impressed that she addressed my mental health and wellbeing during each visit. The best part, 17 months after my first baby was born, I got pregnant naturally following all of her prior recommendations with supplements and moderate diet changes. What a great experience I have had working with dr. Berkebile. After getting disappointed too many times for various reasons at my regular dr visits, I was introduced to Natural path doctors and found dr Berkebile. She is very patient and asks the right questions to get to the bottom of your problem. She was able to diagnose my issues in the first session and hook me up with ( magic ) pills to feel normal again. I have had very difficult cycles my whole life and things are getting even worse with aging. No one thought it was worth doing something about it and it's part of aging but it was a different story when I met dr Berkebile. Dr. Berkebile is such an amazing doctor to work with. I have been working with her for about 6 years and have been so thankful to have found her. I say work with her because with Dr. B as your doctor you will be entering into a partnership. Unlike so many doctors I've gone to, she collaborates with her patients and listens to what is going on. In the 6 years I've seen her, she has guided me through so many hormonal and postpartum issues I struggled with after the birth of both my kids. I continue to check in regularly now to monitor my hormones and body chemistry and we meet via phone calls. This is amazing because I don't have to find a time to get to the office. Busy moms need this! We chat for 30 minutes and I get my questions answered and am able to discuss any test results that are new. My infant son and I both have had the pleasure of getting to know Dr Berkebile and being under her excellent care. The baby was struggling with chronic wheezing and coughing. Our pediatrician could only recommend asthma medication and while it helped his symptoms to stay under control, it wasn't taking care of the root cause. Dr B went over baby's health history, even the details of his birth and eating habits, and with the help of some supplements and new habits we have started building up his immune system as well as preventing him from getting sick again. Because she was so welcoming, easy to talk with and extremely knowledgeable about health, I decided to become her patient myself. She's helping me with my recovery from postpartum depression and anxiety. Dr. Berkebile is amazing and I'm so grateful to have found her. I began my journey with her a few months ago with extreme sugar cravings, brain fog, afternoon slumps, lack of energy and just an overall feeling of blah. If you are hesitating about making an appointment.. do it! I'm so glad and relieved I finally decided to make an appointment with Dr. Berkebile. I've been struggling with abdominal pain for several years now and was kind of learning to live with it, until the pain got worse and there is so much bloating that my very loose fitting jeans are now tight. My primary care physician kept prescribing me antacids even though they were not helping at all. I came across with the term of Naturopathy on a probiotic review, and got me interested. I researched and found that digestive problems were common issues treated by naturopaths. Read reviews and the approach of naturopathy and was hopeful yet hesitant as it is not covered by insurance. Finally, as I couldn't deal with my pain any longer I decided to make the appointment - which was yesterday-. I left the clinic feeling extremely relieved and pleased with how it went. She listened carefully to my health issues throughout my life and sent me to do lots of tests, along with a diet to relieve my symptoms in the meantime. I am finally on the road back to greater health and vitality after seeing Dr. Casey Berkebile for a few months. I first visited her office seeking assistance with weight loss but Dr. Berkebile quickly figured out that the weight issues were part of a bigger picture that included adrenal fatigue and significant nutrient deficiencies. She started me on herbal supplements and vitamins while I cut out the caffeine (3-4 cups per day!), started working on stress management, and tried to limit sugar. Rooting out sugar from my diet is/was the hardest part but it makes the biggest difference in how I feel every day. The adrenal supplements that Dr. Berkebile prescribed are the key to balancing my body's energy and blood sugar levels so that I am not always hunting down sugary foods for energy. I started seeing Dr. Berkebile over 2 years ago. I was having a lot of issues with my period and trying to get pregnant and my primary care and OB doctors kept dismissing my concerns because of my age and relative health. I was extremely frustrated to not be taken seriously. From the first visit with Dr. B, she listened attentively and empathetically to me and my concerns. She asked comprehensive questions and came up with a treatment plan that would help rebalance my hormones. I was so relieved to finally be taken seriously. At this point I decided to prioritize getting my hormones back in check and dealing with ongoing anxiety and put family planning on the back burner as the other two issues were all consuming. Along with the supplements, Dr. B recommended Whole 30 to weed out some food sensitivities and reset my body. I cannot even explain what a positive difference this made. I was seeing Dr. B on a pretty regular basis, both in person and online, about once a month. After about 8 months of seeing her, I was able to call her and tell her that I was unexpectedly pregnant! We like to joke that she accidentally got me pregnant in getting me healthier in general. My husband and I had given up getting pregnant and were not actively trying to get pregnant at the time. Dr. Berkebile is an amazing, talented, compassionate doctor and human being. I started seeing her a couple of months ago when I decided to try something different after years of not feeling well. I had several issues and she developed a plan to tackle each one, including asthma, fatigue, poor sleep, pain. I spent two years seeing specialist to figure out why I suddenly had difficulty breathing...many medications, tests and expenses later I did not feel well. After following the plan Dr. Berkebile prescribed for me of supplements, I was feeling better and within two weeks I was no longer on any of the asthma medications! I sleep like a baby and I now have energy to exercise. I also see her for acupuncture which has greatly reduced my stress and joint pain. Being a cancer survivor, my only regret is that I did not start any of this sooner because Dr. Berkebile has helped me get my life back. read more
