We never seen Shauna again. This time they assigned us Reese Hunt. He was equally attentive and helpful that day. With both Shauna and Reese my wife and I repeated that we both wanted to be involved in picking out the slabs, so we could be comfortable with the colors and grains.So far so good. This is where things go south. I called Reese the following Monday to get things moving because we made our selection. He didn't call me back until Tuesday afternoon. I was out but called him as soon as seen the message. Once again crickets. Then on Wednesday afternoon I called and asked to speak to the manager, sales manager, someone... The receptionist said she gave a message to the sales manager. Bingo, within minutes Reese called me back. I told our selection and I'd like to get a template done, he said they would be in touch. Once again crickets. A few days later I get an appointed with the guy doing the template. Very professional, very courteous and completed the template quickly with was nice as I was having new flooring put in. He said they'd be in touch the schedule the install. A few days pass and I get a call that the Install can be don the following week and we could come in the store in 2 days to work on the template layout on the slabs. We come in on that Thursday, stand around for 20 minutes until the layout guy, I can't remember his name comes an gets us. We go to his computer and he starts lining up the virtual templates on 2 pictures of slabs loading in his software. We stopped him and said we're not to this point yet as we haven't even picked out the slabs yet. He said, sure you did and here's the pictures. We both said I don't who picked those but they were not us. He got a little irritated, and went to get Reece. Reece knew we were waiting at this guys desk, but proceeded to complete a 20-25 minute phone call. When he came over and we explained the issue, he go combative and insisted that all the slabs were the same. I said I didn't care because we repeatedly indicated WE wanted to pick the slabs not have them picked for us. He then calmed down and said he misunderstood us. Misunderstood this statement "My wife and I want to come in and pick the slabs ourself" It was spoken in English. Any we decided to see what the layout guy could do. The problem is - Jerry imposes a 3.9% or a 4.2% Eco/Credit Card Fee on credit card transaction on the shared terminal, which is way over the 2% limit but Jerry claims he can do this because WalMart does it -- which of course is not true, but it is his hopeless justification. So, when Jerry does this to you, simply contact your charge card provider and they will immediately and permanently remove the entire Fee/Surcharge because the credit card companies prohibit merchants from making customers pay the merchants contractual costs. It's better than arguing with stubborn Jerry or nasty Chris who is way over board rude. Or simply don't do business with these weirdos.

In 2024 I had to replace my own 25+ year old leather chair. While every sitting piece of furniture in my Living Room was leather, I wanted something with a durable material for a change. I found the chair and ottoman I really liked at Tweeds. Then I spent about two days fretting over the perfect material. I ordered the custom chair and ottoman through Tweeds. When the set arrived, it was perfect...even more so when I got it set up in the Living Room. A year and a half later, one of the upholstery buttons came up...I found it just sitting on top of the ottoman. Several months later...one more upholstery button detached. Several days later I thought, I know there's no kind of warranty left, but I want this ottoman to look like it is supposed to. I wrote an email to Tweeds saying just this...along with a picture, and simply asked if they had a recommendation for who I could use to fix the upholstery buttons. I received almost an immediate response and was told that this is very unusual...and that when they are ready, they will contact me to pick up the ottoman, and get it repaired. I was impressed at that moment. I am even more impressed with the fact that they called me several days later (after I had nearly forgotten about their response). They came an hour later and picked up the ottoman. Today I have the ottoman and chair together again. Took less than a week and it looks like it did the day I brought the set home. Today customer service is lacking...everywhere.
