The fields are extremely prolific, my daughter and I filled our flat with eight pounds of strawberries in less than 30 minutes. The cost of our bounty was a mere $12 ($1.50 per pound for the math-adverse readers of this review). The condition of the fields impressed me - the plants were all healthy. A thick layer of straw mulch covered the fields, keeping the weeds at bay and preventing the ripe strawberries from touching the ground. The plants looked healthy with no spots on the dark green leaves of the plants. They grow three breeds (Honeoye, Cavendish and Jewell) to extend the length of the picking season. While not a certified organic producer, Prellwitz Produce adheres to integrated pest management practices. I also enjoyed the friendly, courteous staff, from the driver of the tractor that drove us to the picking area to the staff members that volunteered to carry our loaded flats back to our car. I can't wait to return for raspberry and sweet corn seasons!

I have had the raspberries here, and they are fantastic! Same for the strawberries--this summer is the first time I have had a strawberry that tasted like a real sun-kissed strawberry, and the same for the raspberries. I'll never eat store berries again. I've also had some of their early corn, and it tasted promising. Sweet, with gold-white kernels, and it was a fairly decent size. I'll be back for more!! I will visit again, and I do recommend it.

We got the last parking spot in the back lot and the guy that parked next to us was like I've never seen it this busy! We walked up to the bar area and the line was to the back of the building. We got menus in line so we knew what we were going to order. We got a couple beers and three sodas. They were out of root beer and water but the kids found other things to drink. The waiting system really could use some improvement. The poor servers running around yelling names and looking for people was rough. I felt bad for them. We waited about an hour and a half for our two pizzas. I will say they were really good. I liked they you could customize them. We ordered the meat and heat but only put the heat on one half. We also ordered one of the other specialty pizzas and that was great too. I love that they have a true farm to table experience. I also love that they make their own cider and beer. I would come back, hopefully on a slower night!
