My husband I decided to bring our cats to Casey's Place during a 10-day vacation we took earlier this month. Usually, we just leave them at home and have a friend/relative stay at our place or have someone come check on them daily. With neither of these options available, we were left with boarding. Thank goodness we found Nancy and Casey's Place! I was incredibly nervous about leaving them somewhere, but Nancy made me feel like Charlie and Steve would be in good hands as soon as I first spoke to her on the phone. She wanted to know what kind of food they ate and litter they used so that she could have it ready. They have to eat separately, so we even set up a "feeding plan" over the phone. They got to stay together in their own room, which was great. Their room had a sofa, a window box seat (with hiding for skittish Steve), and a giant cat tree. Charlie loved looking out the window at all of the wildlife - we don't see a whole lot in Minneapolis. I think perhaps the best part was that Nancy emailed me with updates and pictures. I miss my little guys, and seeing that they were doing well made me feel so much better. I would recommend anyone needing to board cats in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area take them to Casey's Place! I've had Nancy take in my Sophie for a couple of our vacations now, and I am so satisfied with the whole experience! The facility is set up with cats in mind. There are separate rooms for each cat (cats from one family can stay together). Each room has a window that looks out into the peaceful wooded area on Nancy's property. Lots of birds, squirrels, and other interesting "cat tv". There is a large deck box in each room which provides a comfy window seat, but there's a thoughtful extra: there is a little cat- sized doorway cut in the box and a cat bed inside for nervous kitties to retreat to if they want. Each room has a piece of human furniture (arm chair, bunk bed, etc.) and a huge cat tree. The rooms have screen doors so the cats can see into the hallway if they're on the cat tree. Nancy is the best, though. She is kind and obviously takes great pride in what she does. I have no qualms about leaving my Sophie in her capable care. Nancy sent us emails with pictures during our trip away, and it really set my mind at ease seeing how my cat was faring. We joke about how Sophie might not want to come back home with us when we come to pick her up - we now refer to Casey's Place for Cats as Sophie's Cat Luxury Resort! read more

I've left my cat at Casey's Place twice after hearing rave reviews from a friend, and I'm so glad I did. I feel so much more peace of mind knowing that my cat is being taken care of just like he would be at home, including a spacious room with a nice window seat and a cat tree! I always felt guilty asking friends to check in on him (knowing that they would just feed him and leave), and I have never been comfortable with the idea of leaving him at a traditional boarding house with its tiny quarters and dogs nearby. If you need to leave your furry friend, Casey's Place is truly the next best place compared to your own home. The owner, Nancy, will care for your cat like he's her own. I never have to worry that my cat is in good hands when I leave him with Nancy. The drive may seem inconvenient, but keep in mind that Nancy offers pet pickup and delivery services! In my opinion, driving a bit out of my way is well worth it to know that my cat will be happy and not stressed during my week away. read more

I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! We're away for a month and my two senior kitties (one of them are extremely skittish) stayed at Casey's for the first time in their life away from home without mom and dad! I visited this place few weeks before their stay and I knew right then and there after meeting Nancy that they will in good, caring and loving hands. While Nancy was showing us around, she knew all the guests by their names! And the connections between them were very warm and cozy! So I was very comfortable leaving my kitts there. The price is very reasonable, the rooms spacious, clean, comfortable and with great views. She also provides foods (according your kitty's choice), litters, and warm blankets if needed. I will most definitely recommend this place to everyone. Being a pet parent, I know how important it is to find them a great and safe place while they are away from home. read more

Given our pending move and international travel I needed to find a place for our two cats. Generally they have been at home with a house sitter but this time was different given that one of the cats had newly diagnosed diabetes. I can't say enough about Casey's place and Nancy's TLC. She not only administered the insulin, she even took blood sugar levels, something that went beyond even that which a big box pet place with boarding services would do. The cats loved the large rooms, the play area, and her attention. She even sent an email with photos of the cats... I highly recommend this place, it is worth the drive to Stacy! read more
