WARNING!!! THIS PLACE KILLED MY DOG!!!! Me and my Mom went into this place to buy some things for our dog and to pawn some of my dusty grandpa's garbage. We brought in a vintage WW1 rifle. It was that one gun, the gun that won the won the wow. Anyway... the owner or guy working comes schleppin out of the back after buzzing us in. He has mustard stains all over his big silly face. He moseys up and goes "Whatta we have here huh?" and without hesitation grabs the rifle. He starts assessing the rifle and as hes inspecting it he blasts my moms yorky right between the eyes. Needless to say we won't be coming back to this hellhole, at least not with our pets.. ... was able to get one awesome deal on an xbok for my nephew. But he told me I got the wrong one anyway. I don't understand how this place is even in business. I've been there probably 7 or 8 times over the past 5 years and I've never seen 1 person in the place. There prices are double of other pawn shops or bargain stores and triple of what your able to find on the internet. What they offer to pawn electronics, computers and musical equipment is significantly less then Empire Loan. Unfortunately there are only 2 pawn shops in Worcester so being the best of the two isn't say much about the winner but this place is horrible all around. Lastly, the two 5 star reviews this place got on yelp recently are fake reviews. There are businesses out there that will post positive reviews for businesses for a fee and there very easy to identity. Why would someone from Florida leave a review for a Worcester pawn shop. read more

Known for it's commercials which feature the owner's family. The cash exchange, has been in Worcester for as long as I can remember. Over the years, we have bought quite a few rings for different family members there. All seemed to be fairly priced, and good quaily. Recently, I brought in a broken gold chain and got a couple of dollars from it. The area where you go to exchange and pawn items is sketchy, and reminsit of a police office, but the young man who helped with my transaction was incredibly friendly. If, and hopefully not, I ever need to exchange items I'll be sure to visit the Cash Exchange/Pawnbroker. read more

Stopped in once to check out their used and vintage musical instruments. They have some interesting guitars and amps, but their prices are EASILY twice as much as similar instruments are going for other places (Craigslist, Reverb, Guitar Center, etc.) Might be good if you're looking for a specific type of instrument and are willing to pay for it, but no bargains to be found here by any stretch of the imagination. Definitely do your homework before buying anything here. read more

The company has been in business for 25+ years and has won best pawn shop in Worcester two years and running. Always something interesting to find in the shop and it's generally a unique experience each time I stop in. The team will help customers out when and if they can in terms of price. read more

Tried to sell some stuff here, I was offered about 10% of the value for everything. In the showroom they sell used things for about 90% of the price you could buy it for new. Very small, crowded place. You won't find any deals here. read more

My first time there. I wanted to do a trade, but they didnt. So be it.. So i went right the camera section and asked if he had any auto focus lenses in a pentax k mount. He said no, but he had manual ones. I said lets see. He brought one down. It was priced at $69. He said it was manual, but i saw that it had an auto switch. He said it was manual. I said no, and proved it. So it turns out the auto switch is doa, so i figured i could get it for atleast half of. I said how much, he said 69. I said but the auto doesnt work. He said too bad, isnt it. Not the brightest f stop on the lens here. read more

Went in, saw a fake autograph for 5 times the value, (tom Brady) had a fake coa, very bad forgery, told owner he should look into it, he said it has a coa so it's "real" showed him articles of the company defunct, claims it'll sell fast enough you don't have to worry. Very shady read more

Have to admit, I didn't think I would need to visit a pawn shop much less try to sell something to one. I recently retired and started sorting through the "stuff" my husband and me had collected over the years or have been gifted with. Not wanting to throw away the better items I brought some into the Cash Exchange. Really didn't expect much interest. What a surprise, they were very interested in what we had. We, my husband and I, were impressed - the staff are professional and fair and the store (Webster) was clean and organized. Lots of inventory, but they're stubborn on price and customer service is terrible. Owner and manager equally miserable, so you'd be better off with some of the younger sales staff. Melt price is least competitive in the city. Only as a last resort. read more

Yes the prices that are listed on the items are marked up, however, I buy used tools here on a regular basis and none have failed yet. You don't pay the price on the item. I recently bought a porter cable finish gun. the price on the gun was $179.00 I paid $63.50. This gun was in new condition and came with a case. Similar guns were $145.00 at home depot so needless to say I am very happy and will refer fellow contractors and visit there before I buy new tools again. read more
