I've been playing out at the Casino @ Dania Beach for a few years now and after winning a few jackpots I was assigned a "casino host," Ralph Delligatti. Ralph has been nothing but a gem and fantastic person to communicate with when I text him that I am stopping by the Casino @ Dania Beach and if he would put a "little something extra" on my players card. He responds immediately - in fact - I have never seen a "casino host" work as hard as Ralph does and respond in not just a timely manner, but immediately - even when he is not working, he still is working - for example - I went out today and texted him that I was stopping by and he said he would call in to the Casino - on his day off - and have them put extra cash on my players card. I'm so Glad this Place is back. Luxe is back and DELICIOUS. The 5 course Meal is spectacular. I can't get over the price as well. You get so much for $19.99. The Tuna Tataki Mango Salad was so good. But, the Sea Bass blew me away. It was so tender and delicious. The Chef was so knowledgeable and took this Foodie Step by Step in the process of how the Sea Bass is prepared. That was a treat. The sides were great additions!!! I couldn't get enough of the Creme Brulee. Everything was made with so much Love. You could tell and TASTE! I brought an old friend with me because it was her Birthday week. SHE can be very difficult and PICKY. WELL, She loved EVERYTHING. Thank you for making me look good! I really ended up enjoying my short visit to The Casino @ Dania Beach. I remember going to Jai Alai many times in the 90s so I had to see what they had done with this massive renovation. First of all, this is a small casino - don't go expecting the selection of Hard Rock. That being said, it's got a great open layout, large clean restrooms, a good band and most importantly Jai Alai! The fronton where they play Jai Alai still exists behind the casino and has free admission. This fast paced sport is a blast to watch and you can cheaply gamble on a few matches. They could do a better job marketing it - most people don't even know it's back there! The casino also had a small food court area and a buffet. I didn't visit either but both looked nice. read more

QUALITY The Casino at Dania Beach has been renovated and is now a big player within the South Florida Pari-mutuel and general gambling/gaming world. I have only visited twice, in recent months alone, and can say with confidence, Dania is doing things right and bringing in the crowds they do deserve. From the ease of parking to the well accessible public ways, all the way down to the cleanliness of the men's (and presumably ladies) rooms, Dania knows of direct competition and continues to bring their "A" game. QUANTITY The amount of activities and options are vast; from the table games, to the slot machines, to the dining options, there is surely something for every gambler's (and non-gambler's) taste. There are also plenty of great parking spots available on the casinos private, free and newly paved lot. Most Yelpie's know how crazy I am about parking availability and so this is a plus. VALUE I personally see total value at Dania Beach Casino. The inexpensive dining options to the great concert ticket prices, there is a great value for all. After you play the slots, or even during, one can enjoy his or herself on the main casino floor with live entertainment, for free, on select nights. The two events I had been to the venue for, each had free, live entertainment for all. AMBIANCE I should say that I was pleasantly surprised with the overall ambiance at the Casino at Dania Beach. I say this with all due respect to start. However, the folks all around were friendly and well mannered. There was not a lot of smoke or seemingly any in the air, except outside of course, and the common areas were easy to move about, which made for a comfortable experience. CROWD Much like the ambiance, the crowd was a pleasant surprise to me. I due again say this with respect as I sometimes imagine these places to have a little bit of a sleazier clientele. Not at Dania Beach though, the crowd too was friendly and overall pleasant. I am sure this is totally subjective, however it was my experience, twice, and so I feel the sample size will hold true for long-term. SERVICE The service at Dania Beach Casino was fantastic. From the front door ushers to the snack bar clerk, down to the friendly attendant in the men's room (yes, that is right), the service folks were great. When you go for a concern at Dania Beach casino, you will have your bag checked out and you will have a metal detector wand around your body, however the folks whom perform these tasks do so with sincerity and a level of kindness one does not often see at venues. PARKING As already stated above, I am a parking snob and so yes, the parking situation is wonderful at Dania Beach. There is ample parking for the permit types of the handicap as well as other expectancies and such, however the general lot is plentiful and close to the main entrance and exit areas. EXTRA Overall, the Casino at Dania Beach is a great night out and will leave you feeling well and not smelling like nicotine or anything else. The crowds are tame and friendly and the service is top notch. As far as the seating at Stage 954 (the casino's venue name), I recommend either sitting very close or very far back on the rise (if an option) since all other seats are on a flat floor and you will likely not be able to see much unless you have an extremely long torso. In regards The Orange Bear Grill: One of the worst experiences ever. We were celebrating a very important occasion and it was ruined by the horrible service. We dined in and had this server, the name said Alicia on the receipt but that was the other server. This one gave us an empty ketchup bottle, charged for 3 sauces when we only received 2, asked for mayo and never received it. Our order: 3 double bacon bourbon burgers. 1 well done, 1 without onions (I requested fried onions and she told me they don't have it, even though it comes on another burger), and 1 without onions and sauce on the side. NONE of the food came out correct. I can go on about it but there was too much. Eat before or after coming to the casino. read more

Had an issue Saturday night and the manager handled it so unprofessionally I will never go back. I was there with my wife and father. I was playing the slots and hit for a total of $54. I cashed out and moved 5ft to the next slot machine. When I entered the $54 ticket in the machine, it didn't register and took the ticket ! I pushed the "service button" and waited for the attendant. The attendant showed up and opened the machine only to tell me the "ticket didn't register and that it may have been dumped into the cash drawer." He proceeds to tell me "he can't open the cash drawer of the machine till shift change, but what machine was I playing to see the ticket printed?" I pointed to it and he took the info from the machine, meanwhile rendering the machine that took the ticket "out of service." He escalated it to manager who proceeds to basically call me liar that I never put the ticket in the machine! I told her to go check the video as I know you have video all over this place, go check it. She walks off and comes back and tells me I walked away from the machine and someone took my ticket and cashed it in at the redemption area. I told her now I know your full of it, because I personally had the ticket in my had and showed it to my wife. She actually was at the machine when I put it in the slot and it didn't register. It was escalated to another manager and I asked her to PLEASE GO LOOK AT THE VIDEO. This manager did go look at the video and came back and stated exactly what we were telling the other manager. The different was this manager proceeded to tell me in the video you can see I cashed out and took the ticket and left the machine. However the machine defaulted and printed another ticket as you can see it flashing on the video and another couple took the duplicate ticket and cashed it in ! The manager proceeds to tell me the slot attendants need to look into that machine as there clearly is an issue. They proceed to not give me my $54 and tell me that they created an incident report and when they have a shift change they can open the box and they will call me as they would apply a credit to my players card. I told them it's not the fact that it was $5, $54 or $500 it's the way it was handled by the manager acting like I was a liar, meanwhile she never even viewed the video. The one manager and security guard was good at attempting to resolve the issue but we will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. read more

first time i've into a casino of any kind in a loooong time, but that fresh oxygen smell is exactly the same.. never mad about it.. now, i don't gamble beyond the occasional quarter slot (do those even exist anymore??) and this review has nothing to do with that.. parking was easy (and thankfully unflooded after our recent wettening).. also, there's a bathroom right by the door from the lot.. hooray for on the way in and out!! there's been more than one instance of not being able to find the bathroom in a vegas casino at inopportune moments.. it's very small, quaint, even, but that's just my perspective talking.. it's little and cute haha.. had dinner at 'the grill'.. would have reviewed that all by itself but it doesn't have its own page.. and i forgot to take pictures because i always forget to take pictures.. anyhow, it was good.. i had simple fare: grilled cheese, cheddar on rye, and added bacon.. (we're soon going to be able to play a drinking game for every time i use the word 'snob' in a review..) i'm a snob about my grilled cheese and oh yes, it can be easily ruined.. this sandwich, however, was not.. grilled perfectly, cheese melted nicely, and bacon just a little chewy (the way it ought to be) and hot off the grill.. even had to let it cool a bit, which was great.. big win, tho, is the fact that both the sandwich AND the fries were hot and fresh.. nice work.. seasoned fries, btw, and had an interesting but satisfying texture.. crispy outside soft inside; had to make myself stop eating them because i was full.. jé heart french fries.. good dinner before a show, which was the whole reason i walked into the casino in the first place, but stage 954 gets its own review.. read more

I have been in to make a few bets at the Jai-alia casino in Dania a few times. And each time has been spread over the years. Usually a year or so between each stop in. I have been in for slots, poker black jack and well, just a drink. And it's come a long way. Long ago It had no additional gambling besides the Jai-alai. Then came poker and all the rest. It had been a somewhat run down spot in the corner of Broward. Now with a couple levels of renovation it's a pretty fantastic casino. It's got quirky twist and turns, like how to get upstairs. It had a stage and watery and and large poker area. The new bar area upstairs is lame and without energy. But that aside the place has come a long way. Sure there might be a couple spots with a better shine to It, and a bigger crowd. But the Dania Casino is a spot that if you drive out of your way to get there, you won't regret it. read more

The casino is clean and smoke free,but a little small. The bar is another story. The bartenders are great but a$13 weak drink is not. The bar manager, a small bitter woman who thought it was appropriate to yell at her staff in front of everyone because she thought they put too much wine in a glass, is awful. She was very rude to most customers and pretended not to speak English when it suited her needs. Management needs to get rid of her! A casino bar is there to get you loose to want to gamble more. It's got a great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city and has a comforting feel to it. I had not intended to be at a Casino while venturing around so Kind of just stumbled on it while out and about..... What a pleasure !! Even if It could use a paint update!! Lol......(Not really a fan of the mustardy orange zest with a deep undertone of maroon, ) But it was well forgotten once inside. Over came by the gracious entrance welcome by several staff, and the waft of fresh air as a non smoking casino it's fresh without a stale scent of soaked in nicotine dripping off the walls. Temperature beats any day outside in Miami and was content with a lax comfort as some places I went in Miami go over board on the AC!!! (AlthoughSometimes very welcoming after a beach day or two) the attentive staff was courteous and helpful and friendly..and aware of my drink as i never saw the bottom of my glass . I was staying a bit of a hike from the Casino itself, it made for a beautiful drive back and made an impressive enough mark for me to want to book my stay much closer to be able to have more time in house and less worry of limitations and time restraints . I will absolutely be back.!! I will certainly be in a free'er state of mind and spinning the reels for the Jackpots I may have missed due to having to exit to journey back where I stayed too soon, to think that a place off the beating path could have me say ( without a sun, I'll add) it was a refreshing surprise unintended find, and those are the return trips I like to find on a vacay stay of time passing time.... I think average is a fair rating for this casino. One thing that stands out is that they have Jai-alai. This location was renovated and it is so much better than it was before. Plenty of parking and there is available valet at reasonable prices. It's certainly and older crowd in here. Plenty of places to eat and a few bars to keep things lively. The also have a concert area, Stage 954 which features a variety of shows. Non smoking makes it very appealing to those of us that don't want to send up smelling like a night at an 80's disco. Plenty of slot machines. If you are in the area, it's a good option for nightlife. Usually live music during the weekends. Bathroom areas were suprisingly clean. read more

We stayed in Ft. Lauderdale for vacation and we were drawn to this casino because of the new players card promotion. $20-$500 for all new players that you drew from a bin. My friend got $20 and I got $75. They do not match other casino status which was disappointing since we have elite status at other casinos. The property was very clean. This is my third visit the last two times was to only go to the deli Roasters and Toasters which has now unfortunately closed. I was having dinner across the street and we thought we would try the Casino. Hubby even said we should gamble which we never do. So we walked across Dania Beach Boulevard to the brightly lite orange building you cannot miss it. Now hubby is a smoker so he smoked outside while I looked at the cool cars parked out front. Noticeably no valet for a Friday night. Now if this was an Indian Casino such as Miccoseukee or Hard Rock you would be able to smoke inside. Once inside it was large open floor plan. Also note no flash photography in a Casino. We head to the bar hubby gets a Tangueray and tonic $7. and I get a Frozen Island Oasis Strawberry Daiquiri $4. As cheap as the drinks were mine was not great so I left the Daiquiri behind. Service was rather slow as well as there was not a lot of people. There was a dance floor and live band. Average age of the people all retirees or a nursing home field trip. We try our luck on the slots found a cute machine with a white kitty and purple background. It was a 2 cent machine but 60 cent minimum. After 4 dollars and little fun I gave up. Enjoy buying lotto tickets more. So we headed back to the front and quickly Ubered home. Did South Florida really need a new casino? I didn't think so, but I decided to check out the new Casino at Dania Beach anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! CDB is slower paced than the Hard Rock and is completely non smoking which is a huge plus for me. Both times I went, I walked out with more money than I came in with. Not much, but $50 is $50 . They seem to be catering to an older crowd which is a nice break from the craziness that occurs at Hard Rock. Check it out! read more

My husband and I planned a day into our Florida trip to stay in this (super expensive) area specifically to go to The Casino at Dania Beach to see live Jai Alai as that is how they advertise themselves. I used the schedule on the website to plan and even checked again the day of to make sure nothing had changed. When we arrived and couldn't find anything we asked an employee and she said they hadn't had Jai Alai "in a while" and said she wondered why people kept coming in and asking about it. She was very nice. We went to the desk and ended up signing up for a card to play a few slots while we were there, we explained the situation to that helpful employee as well and she said she would relay that to her supervisor. It is only a week out now but the information is the same on their website at this time. Other than that the facilities were clean and the employees were nice, it was just a wasted, disappointing day/night for us, we would not have stopped in that area at all had we known that they were no longer playing Jai Alai. read more

Beautiful modern casino located in Dania Beach. Small bar available downstairs, a stage for local performances, main floor is a bit small and slot machines didn't appear to pay out well. The second floor has a poker room but I don't play poker. Staff seemed nice and friendly and the bathrooms were clean. Not sure if I'll return given that mostly everyone I noticed gambling on the slots (myself included) weren't paying out, which hurts customers returning. read more
