Saturday night a few of us came to see Russel Peters standup, and it was a nice time. As the standard procedure, every guest is required to have a 2 drink minimum, which I found out can be alcoholic beverages or sodas. We were seated in the middle of the room and it was the perfect spot. We arrive a little earlier because we had planned to have dinner here. Giving yourself that extra time really helps. As other guests are coming in and getting situated, the servers come around and take your orders. Items come out fast! Within 10 min of all of ours orders being taken, things were coming out quickly. Food here is good. Can't go wrong and for the price it's reasonable, the portions are shareable between 2 people. The show itself was good, this comedian is not in his prime anymore, so some of his material did seem dry or just mot funny. Way back when he was in the spotlight, yes, he was a big name and quite hilarious. Nevertheless, we had a great time, and we do plan on coming back soon for some other shows. We were given 2 free tickets, and this is due to us ordering the 22oz drinks that come in the souvenir glass. So we will be back for another show this summer at some point. read more

I've come here so many times now. I like this location much better than the doral one. You basically can choose where to sit so come early. Weve come to see so many shows, it's different every time for crowds. I haven't tried much of the food except for the fries to snack on-and they were greasy. It's a two drink minimum per person. It's pretty outrageous the prices. Especially since it's on top of the entrance fee ticket-which is different for every show. Hopefully they don't up the price in alcohol too much because as a millennial-it's just about as much as I would pay for a mandatory two drink minimum. It's principle! Weve also been to their free shows which are fun. The best part about these thing though is getting to get pictures at the end with the comics and meeting them. A group of us attended Caribbean Brunch at The Dania Improv and had an amazing time! The venue did a great job accommodating our large party, which made the experience even better. I ordered the steak nachos and they weren't too bad at all. The real star for me, though, was definitely the wings... seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. The fries were also pretty good and paired nicely with everything. Now let's talk drinks... they did not skimp on the liquor! My buddy gifted us tickets to tonights early bird comedy show. Two drink minimum ($8-$20) and got here early for amazing front table seating. The server was nice and got us drinks quickly. Last call was 45 minutes before the end of the show with a mandatory 18% tip added which was fine. The nacho plate looked great but was going to dinner after the show. The first three women were dressed sexy and funny, basically making fun of themselves. The last three guys gained some laughter but only one had risqué humor and worth listening too. Cocktails are incredibly pricey at ~$25 each, but the beers are much better priced ($8-10). There is a two drink minimum so this adds up with ticket price. Parking is also a bit far at a parking garage about a 5 minute walk from the venue. Tickets are non-transferable, so even if you have your qr code from the ticket, they are still going to check id, and ask for phone, email, etc. before letting you in. Keep this in mind because it is very time consuming. Copped 2 free tickets for JR De Guzman's show: Boyfriend Material. He was an absolute riot, I don't think I was able to catch a breath in between laughing. It is a two drink minimum (it's literally posted everywhere; I'm not sure how some people are missing this or mad about this because it's absolutely on everything, the ticket, the entrance, etc, which is concerning seeing that they are driving; Sure hope they aren't that person on I-95 all the way in the far left lane, as their exit is approaching they slam on the breaks and want to get over 6 lanes of traffic and inconvenience everyone, get angry at everyone, because they didn't think ahead or bother to read. I got kidnapped (lovingly) and taken here for my birthday, and let me tell you... the night started off with the host acting like the gatekeeper of laughter. Four of our people were already inside, but apparently the other five of us needed a special passport, a wristband, and maybe a secret handshake before we could join them. After some unnecessary suspense, they finally sat us -- not where we planned, but at least we were all together and not watching the show from the parking lot. The comics? Pretty funny! Not rolling-on-the-floor level, but I gave them points because I know it takes bravery to get on stage and risk a room full of strangers judging your jokes harder than the SATs. I ordered steak bites and truffle fries, and chef's kiss -- delicious. My man ordered the chicken wings... and those wings said "absolutely not." It was so dark in there I had to pull out my phone flashlight like I was doing a forensic investigation. Two wings in, he says, "This tastes weird..." and baby, when I looked? I'll start by saying that the show my daughter and I went to was extraordinary. However, I believe the organization was a bit chaotic. We waited in line for about a block and a half and arrived an hour and a half early, since it's first come, first serve. The line didn't move until the very last minute, so we were able to sit down just a few minutes before the show started and had to place our order with the waitress practically in the dark. The service was great -- the servers were fast, attentive, and clearly knew what they were doing. The kitchen as well, since the orders kept coming out non-stop. The prices, though, are another story. While the quality is good, the prices are outrageous. Considering that we already paid for the show, I don't think it's necessary to charge such high amounts, especially since a minimum of two drinks per person is also required. That said, I imagine it has to do with the area and the overall venue, since being a "night spot," they take advantage of that. My friend and I went and we were seated across from each other at a table and my back was to the stage. I turned my chair when the show started which was helpful to see but still super smushed in there. You can buy vip tickets that have better seats (front facing and more space in booth style tables). My biggest issue was the two drink minimum. It's advertised upfront so you are aware when you buy tickets. The drinks are so overly priced AND you must get two. I went here tonight with my sister to see a comedian I love and had a great evening. The club is located in a great area and is really clean. There is a 2 drink minimum, my sister had an espresso martini and I had pinot grigio. We also ordered burgers for dinner (they have a decent menu). The food was really good and I think reasonably priced. The drinks were a little on the high side but not terrible. The staff was great, the comedians were great. I needed to use the rest room and was impressed with how nice it was. That was until there was no toilet paper in the stall and they were the really nice private stalls so couldn't even ask someone in next stall to hand me some underneath. Last Friday night Hubby and I came here for date night to the late show. We saw Michael Yo, who was hilarious... In love this area and how it's attached to the 14th North Daiquiri bar. The service was great and the server was so attentive. We got the cheese fries (didn't get to take a photo). You are seated very close to other guests. There are other tables a bit farther and they offer more leg room. I had to ask the guy in front of me to give me some room so that I could get in my seat. Besides that, the night was perfect and I laughed until my belly and jaw ached from laughing so hard. From the moment you arrive, the staff is ready. They were so efficient and fast taking the drinks and food orders before the show started. Had a free ticket and they required two drinks per person. A water can be one of the drinks but don't order water as they bring you a cup of water during the show. They have specialty drinks and beers. I ordered a Hawaian piña colada type drink and it was good and strong for $17. They have appetizers, burgers, parmesan fries, chicken wings basically simple items that are cooked quickly. The line up was great Ricky Cruz was hillarious and the main act Desmond Bishop almost had me in tears. If you want a good laugh in an intimate setting this is the place for you. From the food to the drinks and our great two comedians (wish I would have remembered their names) the waiters were very attentive and made sure plates and cups were picked up. My friend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and a Stella beer. My Margarita had Patron in it. It was a pretty good drink. They have several food items to choose from, but we ate at Cooper's Hawk nearby. The comedians were very funny. They did come on later than expected. So my recommendation would be to eat before or at the Improv. Otherwise, you might miss a reservation or eat very late. Dania Beach Improv is a comedy club with a full restaurant and bar menu. They require the purchase of 2 drinks per person when seeing standup comedy here. Despite the fact the menu has foods marked with a "G" for Gluten-friendly, they're all cooked in a shared fryer, rendering them not gluten-free. As someone with celiac disease, while I'd love to be able to order food, if a restaurant can't safely make food gluten-free, don't even try to advertise it as an option. Frying oil is an ingredient in fried chicken wings. If the frying oil is used to fry gluten foods, your wings have gluten. Don't mark them gluten-free. Not everyone speaks English or is even literate, so these symbols obfuscate the fact that this food actually isn't an option for the very people seeking out these notations in the first place. When I asked my waiter about the fryer situation he said that he also has celiac disease and said that he would eat nothing here for safety reasons. Not only is the menu falsely advertising options for gluten-free people, the majority of the drink menu doesn't even have prices. How are you going to have a 2 drink minimum and not have the prices listed for your drink? I live in Las Vegas. I know a drink can suddenly be $100 because of gold leaf or some other frou frou garnish on it, so I'm not ordering anything that doesn't have a price listed on it. This place is in an outdoor mall with a Build-A-Bear, not inside the Ritz, so miss me with the "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it" nonsense. Be transparent and put your prices on the menu. I got a $5 club soda (no free refills) that was nearly all ice and a $5 Shirley Temple. Like I said, if you don't put the price on your menu, I'm not risking some astronomical fee like that infamous beach club restaurant in Mykonos. Aside from the missing prices and the mislabeling of gluten-free options, the menu is poorly graphically designed making it nearly impossible to read due to the font and color choices, especially in low light. Thin type face in yellow & purple on a black background is poor form. The seating is extremely cramped and I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone with mobility issues. The guy in front of me kept scooching his chair back into me and was not even 2 inches from me. His butt kept hitting my knee. It's too cramped for anyone tall. The show was okay. Headliner was pretty good. Multiple tables had to wait until the lights were on and 80% of the room had cleared out before they got their cards back to sign. I went to see Craig Robinson on Valentine's Day weekend. 8:30 pm was the start time but we stood outside for 30 minutes & weren't let in until 9 pm. They did have someone check us in while in line, so once the doors opened we filled in quickly. The seating arrangements could be better. We were seated in chairs facing away from our table, inconveniently located by the walkway/aisle that their staff uses to deliver drinks/food. We held our plates in our hands while eating which was difficult with people frequently passing by. There's a 2 drink minimum but bar service could be better. I ordered an espresso martini with Tito's & Bailey's. My first martini didn't have Baileys, so I asked for it on the side. 30 minutes later, they brought a new martini with Bailey's but used New Amsterdam instead of Tito's. We came back to Dania Improv for a second show after seeing Natasha Leggero was scheduled there, and Dania Improv is close to our house, we had to come back to see the comedy show on November 2, 2024. After coming to the 9:30 PM show in the past and it was late, we wanted to come to the first show at 7 PM and have dinner before the show to ensure the timing was ok and it didn't get too late. We had our tickets secured in advance through the box office and whether you get your tickets online, or directly through the box office, you just go into the main line at the entry and provide your name/ID and they will lookup your ticket. For our 7 PM show, doors opened at 6 PM, and we were seated promptly and greeted warmly by venue staff. After being seated, we were greeted warmly by our server Brandy who was an absolutely delight and made us feel at home and welcome and answered any questions we had on the menu. Drinks do not have any prices listed (other than beer/wine), so just ask any questions you have about the menu and the service staff were so helpful and genuinely wanted to assist. We started with the Lychee Martini, which was absolutely amazing and very fresh and flavorful. For the meal, we ordered the Hummus plate ($15.95), a side of Truffle Fries ($15.95), and we both got the Steak Dinner ($28.50). Everything was really tasty and fresh and flavorful and was a good quality. We also closed with the Creme Brûlée Cheesecake ($11.50) which was also a really nice surprise as well and was extremely good. There were two local Miami/Fort Lauderdale female comedians opening for Natasha and they were both hilarious! And we loved Natasha too, she seems like an absolutely sweetheart and put on an amazing show and had the whole crowd laughing for the 90 minutes or so that she was on the stage. I very much enjoyed my visit to the Fort Lauderdale Improv to see Tim Dillion. We waited in a line outside to be let in for general admission, and once inside, we were seated immediately. We wanted to eat dinner so they sat us at a table facing the stage in the center (excellent seating). I thought the food was very good. I had a southwest chicken salad, which was very flavorful and huge! The chicken is grilled, but it comes cold, so just be aware of that. I also ordered house fries and they were crispy and piping hot. My husband got the Carne Asada tacos which he enjoyed very much. They are small though so keep that in mind if you're hungry! The nachos looked awesome but we didn't get them, just spotted them at the table near us. If you are seated at the dining tables, it's $100 minimum on the tab, just so you know. Not that hard to spend with a couple of drinks and some food. With our food, drinks and tip it was about $145. The server mentioned getting two free tickets to another show with purchase of our fishbowl drink, but he never told us how to get them. Once we paid the check he was gone so we couldn't ask. All good though. As for the location, there's tons of shopping, entertainment, and restaurants near the venue so you can make a day of it if you're feeling it. I was in the area and decided to go see a comedy show on a Thursday night. I was able to get tickets a couple hours before the show at the box office. they charge a service fee whether you buy online or in person but I figured based on some of the other reviews about fraudulent tickets, I would rather by direct from the source. I came back an hour and a half later (doors opened at 6:30p for 7:30p show). I arrived around 6:45p and was immediately seated but asked to sit on an end and the employee ignored me and put me right next to a couple in the middle of the back table. They later reseated a group of 3 toward the front table directly in the front when they requested it, so that was annoying. Another group of 4 was seated directly in front of me when the show had already started so they should probably seat people front to back in order to not take away from the show. The girl directly seated in front of me tossed her hair in my face every five minutes and constantly moved from side to side blocking my view, so unless I was sitting closer to the front, I probably wouldn't bother. The seating is also pretty cramped; I actually got leg cramps from sitting there. I've been to their sister location in Arlington and the seating is set up way more spaced out and comfy. Comedian wise, the openers were hit or miss. The first one was good (Luis Diaz) and the second one was eh (I don't even remember his name). The headliner was good. I had only watched one clip online before buying my ticket. I think the whole night was decent (Started at 7:45ish and ended around 10p). They do have a 2 drink minimum but have no drink prices listed on the menu. But everyone from the employee that seats you to your service will tell you about the 2 drink minimum. Tickets for my show ran $22 for the Thursday night show (plus fees) so about $29 to give an idea of pricing. read more

Watched a friend/fellow Yelper Dao N. do a set here and also came here to watch Morgan Jay live. Both times I will say we're good times with somewhat-good drinks and good company! Food was okay but not up to value. But the venue itself is neat and intimate. Though, be prepared if you get cold easily because it can get a little chilly. Staff are very attentive and friendly, so even if the menu is a bit pricey for mid food and drinks, their service balances it out. It's at the end of a nice plaza, looks like a fun place! I wanna come back to check out their connecting bar. read more
