I used to love coming to this Casino. They had great slot machines with some awesome payouts. In the last 2-3 weeks they have removed most of the good machines with good progressive payouts, others they moved around. Changed the players club benefit ,lowered the levels for those who are not high rollers. Guess I won't be coming here as often as I used to. What a shame. We had a great time at our new favorite casino in Fort Lauderdale area. The casino is clean and smoke-free and has fun games. Everyone was so helpful and very nice. The bar was great and easily accessible and we had a wonderful dinner in the upstairs restaurant. The staff are great especially our hostess Lucia. Stopped into The Casino At Dania Beach to kill some time on Sunday afternoon. Ended up watching some jai alai, playing a few machines, hanging out in the sports lounge, and enjoying a Pina Colada on Happy Hour. Quality I honestly did not know what to expect from The Casino at Dania Beach. Live blackjack is the game I usually like to play, but going in I was already aware that wasn't an option here. What I did not expect was the fun and excitement that is jai alai. This was my first time watching the game, and it is an addicting good time. I ended up watching four or five matches and getting to really understand what was going on. I also spent some time in the sports lounge watching both horse racing and basketball. It was here I decided to grab a drink and selected the Pina Colada off the happy hour menu. Cheap, tasty, and stronger than I expected. I also played a few of the machines before I left, which are not quite as fun as the real thing, but I won a little so who am I to complain. Quantity It is a pretty large casino with two floors that have over 900 machines and 24 card tables, along with a theater, a sports lounge, and a jai alai court. I would not imagine people having a hard time finding a machine or seat they like, except during a major event. Value In terms of the machines, they offer a full range, whether you want to just wager a little or play around in the high roller room. However, what I appreciated was how affordable the drinks were. Each day of the week they have a different beer on special for just $3. Even better though, during happy hour they have $3 margaritas and pina coladas, along with specials on mixed drinks. It may not be free drinks, like when you gamble in Vegas, but you won't break the bank on drinks even if you do on the machines. Ambiance The Casino At Dania Beach is located in Dania Beach just north of Hollywood and close to the north end of Hollywood Beach. It is a massive orange and grey structure that would be difficult to miss. The inside of the casino is big and very cavernous. Immediately upon entering from the north side you are met with the the jai alai court. The playing area roped off from the seating gallery. Venturing further into the casino, they have food options on the left and then the huge gaming floor in the center of the space. The casino is two floors, so the ceilings are tall over the gaming area. They have a oval bar and at the center of the space and a stage that hosts occasional live games. Towards the back wall they have a smaller area set up with machines for blackjack, craps, and roulette, as well as a high-limit room. If you take the escalators upstairs, you will find the buffet dining option. Past that is the card game area with the sports bar behind it. The sports bar is quite comfortable with windows overlooking outside and more televisions then you could ever need. Also, upstairs is access to the theater and the VIP lounge. In the background they had your standard elevator music that is pumped into casinos. But the most notable thing to me was that the scent of cigarettes was missing. With the new renovations that were done on the casino they managed to rid the place of any lingering smoke smell, and I have to say it makes the experience more enjoyable. Crowd I was visiting the casino on a Sunday afternoon, a time I assumed it would be relatively empty, but there was a good amount of guests. The jai alai area was definitely the biggest draw, but quite a few people were also watching the horses in the sports bar area. Without an event happening that evening, it appeared to be a lot of regulars. It is an older crowd, but a non-smoking one, which changes the dynamic a bit from most casinos I have been to. Service Everyone I saw working at the casino seemed friendly and professional. They had waitresses going around the machines asking about drinks and offering massages. The bartenders were quick plus had great banter with the regulars. And even security was happy to direct me to the area I was looking for. Parking Once you figure out where to pull in, parking is a breeze. They have a massive open parking lot with tons of spots available. A valet is also set up, but it seemed empty. I assume on nights with events and concerts it may fill up a bit more. Extra Having visited quite a few of the casinos in the South Florida area, my expectations were low for The Casino At Dania Beach. However, after visiting I really just wish they had live blackjack, because the jai alai, horse betting, comfortable feel, and cheap drinks give it a leg up over the competition. But even without it, I still see myself returning for jai alai. read more

Had the chance to visit Luxe inside the Casino at Dania Beach - what a pleasant surprise- I'm not a casino or gaming person but the issues that usually repel me at most casinos was not present at this space- it was easy to get to, no disgusting smoke smell and the food and service was friendly, unpretentious and most enjoyable. Salad good - fresh, right temperature good selection Omelette was excellent - Prefectly prepared Salmon was cooked to prefection Good selection of casserole style dishes; Lasagne; paella, coconut rice Generous selection of meat/protein The crepes were some of the best I've had in a while - Decor and ambiance tastefully done- retro yet contemporary stands out yet blends nicely into the environment Comfy dining furniture Organge bathroom was fun Staff friendly enthusiastic Im a bit discerning when it comes to what I put in my body- it doesn't have to me expensive but It does have to be of good quality - and if it's of great value then even better - thank you! The paella was incredible. The meat station was so flavorful. My favorite was the charcuterie section. No Cold Cuts there!! Fantastic meats and cheeses and everytime I turned around, there was more!! But, I became addicted to the shrimp cocktail. Yummmm. Don't forget to have some of the freshest fruit to compliment your meal. I was loving the ambiance. This has got to be one of my favorite spectator sports, and I wish we had one in the Pacific NW. These guys play hard and for probably not much pay. The "fronton" is beat up and has not been fully repaired since Hurricane Wilma in 2005. There appears to be more visitors betting on the ponies and playing cards and yet the sport thrives thanks to a few devout locals (admittedly an older crowd and mostly "snow birds"). The game is super easy to follow and even easier to bet on. Just pick three teams you like and bet the $6 "quinela box" - if two of the three come in first or second place, in either order, you win about $50! The concession stand is weak but most folks are not here for the food or libations. They do have cheap beer and food specials throughout the week. I was quite sad to see that the "DANIA Jai Alai" sign shown in the black and white photo above is no longer there! They appear to be selling the building at the corner of Federal and Dania Beach Blvd, where it sat on the roof for probably 50 years?! read more

Or watch live Fronton my favorite, televised to other casinos. The buffet at the Lux is good mostly on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sundays u get a mashup brunch including bottomless mimosas!. The first machine I went to took my $100 and didn't register. I waited 20 minutes for them to watch the video and then I was told they could see me put something in, but couldn't tell what it was. They said I would have to wait until they cashed out the machine later tonight (after I would already be on my flight home) to try to find the money. Finally they opened the machine and found the bill. The customer service was horrible and if they didn't find the bill, I would have been shit out of luck. We have attended two live tribute shows in the last two months (Absolute Queen and Classic Albums Live Led Zeppelin IV) and both times it was exceptionally well planned. Seating was socially distanced, the venue was spotless and the staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. I felt safer at the casino/show than any day at the grocery and other stores around town. We had a great night watching some jai lai and then a live concert. The only safe game in town for a decent live show. We have tickets for upcoming shows! read more

It's orange. Very orange. Seeing how orange is my favorite color, my lady friend thought we should check this place out. My love for orange balanced out my dislike of losing money / casinos. The crowd here seems a little older than that of other local casinos. It also doesn't seem to have that much going on considering how large the building is. There a 2 or 3 places to eat, 2 stages for music / comedy performances and a Jai-Alai court where you can catch some live matches. I did what I normally do at casinos. I set my limit at $40 and hitup the quarter slots. At one point I ended up blowing about $30 on some digit card games before realizing how dumb that seemed (like if a computer won't cheat... Pffft.). Luckily, quarter slots never fail me and I managed to get my money back a couple of quarters later. Actually came up $3.62... best day of my life. Only real tip I have is to make sure you hide your wallet from yourself after you grab you drink at the bar. They seemed to be making them nice and strong, for that extra drunk spending. It was a nice way to waste a weeknight. Place was kinda dead but I imagine it could be a little livier on the weekend. If you're feeling like losing a bunch of cash then feel free to check this spot out... Or just paypal me the money you don't want. Lol read more

Went last night (and won a little) but was frustrated with the buffet, the music, the temperature, the staff, several out of control customers, and the fact that no security people made even an attempt to reign in the drunks. The staff (other than at the player's club) was obnoxious -- talking to each other mostly, or like one worker, endlessly pacing back and forth behind me and watching as I played the machines. Cocktail waitresses must've had rockets attached to their shoes; yelling in monotone, "Cocktails! Drinks!", they zoomed by without even making eye contact with me (a would-be paying customer). It was *FREEZING* in the Craps/Roulette/Video Poker area. The $30 buffet wouldn't have been worth $15 (although they did have a very limited selection of standard sushi). Oh yeah...parking was horrible bc a street fair/event was set up next door, siphoning off parking spaces. And although very loud, sometimes the off-key band could be heard (unfortunately). I've been to Vegas, and let me just say, this place operates 180° differently. Very unprofessional. Don't bother. read more

This place is bad. Pay out is very low and drinks are the most expensive ever. They charge you $9 for a 4oz drink and $7 for a beer. That might be ok for a club but not for a casino where you are spending lots of money. They are ver strict with the masks and staff is very rude. It's really a shame that this place is so horrible. It could have had a lot of potential. I was treated very rudely by management and I don't take kindly to disrespect so I reciprocated it and told the manager that nobody from my family will ever come back here. He proceeded to use foul language with me and then as I was leaving said he'd get me arrested! I implored him to try and he called a the sheriff car over as I was backing out of my parking space. Checked out this place now that they have re-opened, unlikely I will return. Casino has your standard slot machines although the selection of which is not very good. The casino and bars were fairly vacant for a Saturday night. The poker room only had two tables active. The Jai-Alai was the most disappointing aspect. I understand that they'd want to downsize the stands considering that the crowds were smaller before remodeling, but the way they did it was pretty bad. Four rows with some partial fifth rows, chairs are bracketed to a cheap removable bleacher setup, so all of the flooring gives under your feet. So, you still have the regular crowd that wants to see jai-alai, but now you have people who came for slots that want to watch it too and the small room gets very crowded and uncomfortable. There are only a few machines to place bets, so unless you place bets during matches you will likely not get a bet in before the next match as the lines are long as hell, and the standing room only crowd in the back convolutes it even more. Other than re-branding the fronton, nothing was changed. The pads at the "dugout" still have original dust and dinginess. Oh, and it's only singles matches now from what I can see in the program and what people in the crowd told me. Singles matches only can get pretty boring. Let's face it, the Jai Alai is an afterthought and it'd be gone if the state allowed it. They cut every corner they could and likely went to singles matches to save money on players. At one point I was stopped by security to be ID'd, I was leaving from an area that I w(sh)ould have already been ID'd to be in, so checking my ID at this point was senseless. My ID was scanned into a machine, so in essence my information was stored in a computer for the Casino to use for whatever means they wish. My friend was also ID'd despite his numerous gray hairs and aged face obviously making over the age of 18, which was the age required by the signage in the building. read more

Had not been to dacia beach casino before. We had tickets to a comedy show so we finally made our way over there. Parking is pretty convenient. The decor inside was nice, my hubby who had been before said it was a nice job. Lots of orange and bright lights. We didn't eat there but saw a food option orange bear, seemed like a deli style place. It's a 2 story casino, with the entertainment lounge studio 954 upstairs. It's a large room with folding chairs set up for guests. Seats were comfortable, but if someone tall sits in front of you, it's kind of a moving game to adjust your view. After show we stopped into the jai Ali auditorium which I had never seen before, different but nice,there was no charge so we might try again. We're not really gamblers, so we didn't stay long after that, but we did notice a band playing and guests dancing looked like fun. read more
