Extremely rude security. My family and I visited Niagara for a 2 day trip, and on our last night June 8th we decided to end the night at the casino. I understand every casino has its own rules about whether children are allowed into the facility or not, and we were not going to make a fuss if they simply said no. When my family and I walked in to ask if children are allowed, instead of answering our question the security guard started to make sarcastic remarks trying to make us feel like we are stupid and was being very rude to my father because he thought it was funny. When he could've simply answered "no". I'm sure this also had something to do with the fact he's Asian and not very good in English. I'd give this place a better review if it wasn't for that one security guard. Hire better and nicer people. read more

Walked across the border to add to my casino chip body count and this casino is 50ft from the door that allows you physically into Canada after crossing the Rainbow Bridge - all 6 Canadian provinces! What is convenient about this location is, it has a food court with 4 chains in it, as well as a Hard Rock Cafe as soon as you walk in. It has a Subway, KFC, Pizza Hut and a Taco Bell- which had I known? I wouldn't have sat down in the Hard Rock in US for a screaming nightmare. The casino is a little different with different floors for different games - but I moseyed on upward nonetheless. As an American, I went to the cashier and exchanged for Canadian so I could use it at the table. Glad I did this rather than go straight in and slap my USD down asking for chips. The roulette wheels seem the same and apart from rumors that they spin the wheels the opposite way, etc- I didn't detect it. Floors were clean and what made matters even better - I could not miss with my number cluster. Left +$250 USD. We went into the casino from the back and and were on the floor with the bar and restaurant and lots of seating which was pretty empty. There didn't seem to be many slot machines and I didn't see any tables but they had a poker room. We found the bathroom and it was big and clean. There were escalators going upstairs and that's where I found the action. There were lots of machines and tables and it was pretty busy. We walked through and I saw some machines that I wasn't familiar with. We walked out the front doors and there were a few coach buses there so I'm sure the bus tours come here. read more

This agIng casino is due for a make over and it appears they are making an attempt at it since there is competition in the area. I've been here a number of times and most times it's ended favorably but it's gambling so let the chips roll where they may. I prefer the tables but there are a nice selection of slots and it's a great way to past the time. I will say the management staff can be a little bit challenging especially when you hit a big one I guess they don't like to give away the houses money. I've been on both sides of the giving and receiving and it can be just as painful on both sides except when you win you're always happier walking out with their money. My lucky here has been pretty good, lifetime I'm definitely up so I always budget some time and money when in the area. My fondest and most profitable memory was hitting a straight flush on the "Let it Ride" table it paid $6,000 CAD and I pocketed it all - the sad part is it took them 45 minutes to pay me and the pit bosses constantly reminded me if there were any cards missing in the deck my winning hand would be void. Tables start at $15 and $25 minimum bets and only paid out 6/5 odds on blackjack. We actually stopped by this casino to park near the falls. All of the employees we interacted with were really nice and helpful. It was really easy to park and we walked right out onto the strip by the Hard Rock Cafe. Pleasantly surprised by the experience here. At first glance this casino is very small and options appear to be more limited that Fallsview. This can be a little frustrating if you have a favorite game or slot machine that isn't available. Casino Niagara is the older, less frequented casino in Niagara Falls. This is the more casual, and easy going of the two. I'm not really a gambler, but I can say that this casino seemed to be paying out a lot more than Fallsview and there was not a wait to play on a machine. They also have a pretty cool roulette slot in the middle of the casino. From now on, we will likely be going to Casino Niagara which is a lot calmer and has a self serve soda station. 1 star for the free parking, because I had gambled at Fallsview Casino earlier. This casino is pretty outdated, and the machines are pretty old. No one passes by with drinks, but there is a small cart where you can take your own drinks or make your own coffee/tea. Very few table games. I thought Fallsview casino was bad, but this is worse. Having spent 10 days in Vegas, and being so close to foxwoods, mohegan, and atlantic city... this is by far, the crappiest casino I have been to. I actually like Casino Niagara more than Fallsview Casino for some odd reason. It might be the dark dinginess of the place coupled with a poker room and a sports room with many, many, many TVs. The buffet here isn't as nice as the new casinos which isn't to great to start but I do like dining at Lucky. The bar food you can order from the sports room is typical bar/pub fare. I don't mind the chicken wings but they've been pretty small the last 2 times I've been. There are always machines open and lots of tables. The dealers are pretty nice and as always with casinos if you have a problem, please walk away! Beware of the crazies at the slots. Casino Niagara is similar to some of the casinos in America except there is no FREE liquor and let's face it, who wants to gamble sober?! The blackjack/roulette/craps table are all pretty standard. Sometimes you'll find it to be a $10/$15 dollar minimum depending on what game you play. I did have to wait a little while for the Texas hold 'em poker pit in the wee hours of a Saturday morning, which was a bit annoying. The staff and security here are very helpful and they easily figured out that I wasn't from Canada once the word "restroom" fly out of my mouth. But in terms of navigating directions and providing courteous customer service, that was what they were all about. The dealers at the tables were pleasant but we had a terrible experience with the bartenders. Drinks are NOT free even if you are gambling. So we went to the bar for drinks. They had happy hour specials on draught beer and wine and $7 martinis all night. We were ordering the happy hour specials from the same bartenders during the promotional period, however, when we walked up with two minutes to go, a shit storm ensued. We ordered the promotional drinks with time to spare, but instead of ringing it in before time was up, the bartender made the martini instead. So when it came time to ring up the promotional draught beer, the promotion was over. When we called her out on it, she tried to make an excuse that didn't work and we ended up walking away without the drinks. Worst experience ever.
