I fly into CPR several times a year. It's a great regional airport and I particularly enjoy Walt and Branch from Longmire greeting me when I arrive. TSA can be a little zealous at times, but are typically polite and professional. Recently my bag arrived 24 hours ahead of me because of a delay. I was told my bag would be held at the United desk until I arrived. I was shocked when the agent told me to look for it at baggage claim. My question, had it rolled around over and over with each preceding flight?! Since security appears to be so tight there, that shocked me. Well, it's Casper, and it's an airport. Chances are you aren't deciding to travel in and out of here based on the reviews but here's the skinny from someone who comes and goes twice a week from this airport: Positives: 1) the wifi has recently been upgraded and can stream video....and it's free. Huge plus! 2) hertz and enterprise are onsite but Avis has a short shuttle 5min shuttle to an offsite lot 3) checked bags NeVER take more than 10minutes. 4) Parking on site is a dirt cheap 5$ a day long term, free along the road for two weeks or less, and free for short term pickups (less than three hours) in the lot. Negatives: 1) Casper only flies three places: Two to four times a day on either Delta to Salt Lake City or on United to Denver and twice a week to Vegas on Allegiant. 2) Being a small airport in a place with bad weather, flights are cancelled very often 3) there are taxis but none onsite so call while prior to your flight to set up a pickup. Wyoming finally got UBER but there aren't many drivers and it usually takes 15minutes for them to arrive, which is fine if you checked bags. Neutral: 1) There is a bar in the airport. It is overpriced and the food is average. There is nothing except a vending machine past security. read more

Traci T had an excellent review. Regional airport yo, no Starbucks. That's pretty common really. Free wifi is a plus. Two gates for Delta or United. Flights are within a few minutes of each other for departures. Arrivals vary. But if you're expecting SFO be warned. Large waiting area for both gates but the planes are fifty seaters generally. Play area for the kids. Vending machines past security so bring something. About a forty minute to hour trip to Denver anyway so grab something in Colorado. Probably food at your hotel anyhow and you'll get a beverage service on the plane anyhow. In winter they've had some issues shoveling so that's a pain. But apart from that board and go. Usually a bit bumpy since it can get windy otherwise this airport is a breeze. Security and gate agents are nice. Board and get onto your large airport for your next flight. The alternative is driving hours through WY. Be grateful an airport is local. read more

This was one of the smallest airports I've flown in and out of for one of my marathon trips. They have very few flights and they're usually all around the same time between the different airlines. The TSA agents are only there when there are flights to be boarded. All I saw at this airport were small regional jets. We walked on the tarmac when getting off and boarding our plane. One big positive with small airports is that the boarding process is usually very stress-free. read more

Cute and tiny airport. And when I say "tiny", I truly mean this because it's microscopic. Even smaller than the Fresno airport. But, with that being said, it still offers travelers a gift shop and place to grab some food while waiting for their flights. And, the line at TSA was a laughable breeze. All staff (including the notoriously stern TSA guards) are genuinely friendly and happy. I was flying Delta when I was here and they even had a fair assortment of hard candy in a huge dish by the Customer Service booths as you board your plane. Even had Werther's!! Don't expect to walk down any ramp to your plane either - that's too big-time for these folks; expect to walk out on the tarmac to board your tiny model airplane. Stress-free and centrally located in the Casper, WY area, this is one of my favorites in the small airport genre besides Burbank's. read more

I just got back from a quick, overnight trip to Casper and had the pleasure of flying into the Casper (Natrona County) airport.....Don't let the "International" in the name fool you....this is your basic, small town, 4 gate and one jetway airport. I flew in on United and I also saw a Delta flight there, both were regional commuter jets. I flew in from Denver and the Delta flight came in from Salt Lake City. As with most small airports, there was not problem getting to the airport or getting through security. I arrived 30 minutes before my flight was scheduled to leave and it closed the door 10 minutes early and I still had to wait to get on the plane. When I arrived the day before, I walked straight out of the secure area, out the door and got directly into my colleagues car and we were gone in 5 minutes. I did not notice if they had any type of food or snacks. Overall, my experience at this airport was A-OK. read more

For Casper it is a nice airport. Clean, convenient and friendly people. Only word of warning to those who are used to larger airports, the TSA pre-check is not the full treatment- you still have to remove laptops, liquids etc.... only real benefit is you don't have to remove your footwear (unless it sets off the metal detector) read more

My flight got delayed and I understand why, just wish I could of been notified earlier so I could of caught the other flight. This resulted in me missing my connection flight and re-booking. The front desk was extremely understaffed. I asked to catch a 6:00 flight, but the gentleman would not give me the time of day for my request. I also had to wait on the aircraft to get fueled up, which I assume could of been done before we boarded because of the fact that we were waiting on the flight crew. read more

Nothing wrong with this airport. I do my share of flying and this is pretty standard for a small airport. I actually prefer small ports. I get so shuffled around in places like ATL & LAX. It's nice and leisurely at CPR. The lines can get long. I like to get there early but everyone gets on and there is no rush, so relax. I much prefer this to running at a dead sprint while dragging my luggage through ATL just to barely miss my connection. This airport fits the bill and provides good service. read more

If you are coming or going out of Casper through this airport please eat before you arrive because there is nothing available here for you. Wait there is a restaurant (I think) I walked into to try to grab some grub before the flight and looked around for a few minutes, yelled "hello anyone around", and then searched a bit more. I did find a gal setting a table in the back and managed to grab her attention for a few seconds. I asked if there was anyone who I could order some food. She said "I don't know where she is" then she turned her back on me and went about her business. At that point I didn't want to purchase or support anything about that place. So if coming or going through here bring your own cause you wont get fed at the "international" airport. read more

This is an small and easy airport to land at. Getting out is the same. They do recognize your TSA Pre Check status, so you get to keep your boots on. read more

It's a really small, home town airport. So if your not from the area, understand that. I would have given it four maybe five starts, but it was the slowest TSA line I've ever waited in. First three hours of parking is free and right across from the gates and baggage claim. Super handy considering I had to make multiple pick ups and drop offs for the few days I was there. All free. Like what is typical in Casper and Wyoming, is that everyone here is super friendly. There's free WiFi (who would have thought it; nice that they aren't greedy here), some nice places to sit and chill outside the security check point and one, larger restaurant and bar. There's only a coffee machine past security for those who normally get a coffee at a Starbucks or the like at other airports. If you can time your check in and get through the security check at the right time, this place is perfect. It's like only seven miles to down town Casper, cheap if not free to park at and easy to get around in. read more

My Allegiant Airlines flight was delayed 3 hours and to my dismay when I arrived early to the Casper Wyoming air terminal with rental car there was no one aavailable at the ticket counter to help with my dilemma; I was going to miss my connecting flight in Vegas to get home. When finally did speak with a individual rwo hours later at the Casper Allegiant counter she stated mechinally issues and delays are common with airlines. I asked if the inconvenience to my travel matter and she said "I can keep you from getting on the plane". Due to lack of customer skills of personnel representing Allegiant Airlines I'll select other options in the future for my travel and I hope never to fly Allegiant Airlines again. read more
