We liked the campground - and the owner seemed really nice. I don't know how to describe the check in process though, the lady kept telling me we wouldn't fit in "the spot we reserved" however- their system doesn't tell you what spot you reserved, just that it's subject to change. Whatever- once you get past her - it's smooth sailing. read more

No sewer available at the site we had. Unlevel and short. Looks like mostly full timers, on the North Platte River, ok for one night. This is our 2nd time staying here and we won't be staying again. Sadly in need of delayed maintenance. Great staff but like I said we won't go back. We did get a military discount but we won't be back. I would stay at the KOA in Douglas instead. read more

Our site has the nice river view, we have a little trouble backing in but no big deal. disappointed no sewage though. They have one of the best restroom & shower room with 4 or 5 stalls (trust me, we have visited over 100 campgrounds in 20 years of RVing, some over 40 days) They are clean,bright, high ceiling, good water force with the just right temperature , plenty of hooks and have a stool.I was so pleased! BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, on the north Platte River, wild turkey roost right across the river! White tail deer and Canadian geese. Hot showers, pool table recreation room. I would've given them five stars but the space I have for the money I paid did not have sewer hook ups so I was a little disappointed. Otherwise it's a very nice RV park, the restrooms shower and laundry room are extremely clean from that situation alone I would recommend this place. read more

Supposedly Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre lives next door to the Rivers Edge. My god ALL NIGHT there was a constant sawing noise awakening me every hour of the night (well realistically I got 2 hours of sleep so Leatherface sleeps for at least 120 minutes a night). The next morning I was MC Cranky-pants, I learned there is a pipe cutting business right next door. Either they had a large order to fulfill or they like to keep the garage door open to drive all of us RV campers absolutely crazy and awake all night. If your going to come here, make sure you call to get a guarantee that the Ax-Men show isn't being filmed during your stay. Or hopefully its hot (or cold) enough outside that you need to keep all your windows closed and turn your TV on full volume (to something pleasant). The only reason this isn't a 1 star is they keep the grounds in nice shape and good location not far from the highway (but not far enough from the saw mills). Its called "River's Edge" but its about 150 yards away from the River and you can't approach it so I wouldn't exactly call it by its name. read more

We came here today in hopes of finding an RV spot. As I approached the door I saw a sign that said it was all full so I was turning around and walking away. At that time Lois said can I help you and I said I see you are all full. She said well we have one site that the people did not show up for that had reservations so you could take that if you would like.I Said well how much do I owe you and she said nothing. Wow what a fantastic person to do this for us. The park is very clean with expansions of 22 sites and nicely maintained. I would recommend making the reservation next time to make sure I had a spot reserved for me but would definitely stay here again.Lois is a great person and manager. read more

What a wonderful place to stay. We had a spot down by the river, and it was absolutely beautiful. Check in was super smooth and the staff was very friendly. The shower house was super clean and had everything we needed. We were visiting for a baseball tournament, and they gave us a spot to Park for the day when our boys teams played later than we had planned on! I would absolutely recommend staying here! This will be our go to camp ground for all Casper stays! read more

If you tent, dont arrive. 2 weeks is considered long term to them... "we dont do long term. We just have spots for a night here and there. 2 weeks is long term" The bathhouse has no hot water. The rates of 20 plus tax is more than fair but the anti tenting tourism attitude makes the vacation dreary. So much for experiencing the rough Wyoming nights and sleeping to the stars. read more

Don't ever stay here!!!!! They will make your vacation the worst day ever and you won't ever want to come back! ! This place gave my family a phobia to park an RV in this place! Racist Manager who hates kids and Asian. Manager was so Rude! Go bring your business somewhere else. If I have time I will create a protest against the manager. Very mean. Worst service. We should have checked the google review before we go here but because its closer to my in laws place, we stayed here. We supposed to stay here for 4 days but ended up leaving the next day because the Manager is super Rude and the worst customer service we ever experienced in our life. Laundryroom are so dirty that I have to sanitize it first before Using it. No wifi and the Lady is so mean and rude. Not recommending it. Worst customer service. Will never recommend this business until that manager is fired!!! Me and my family is a traveller (cross country and international) and we never experienced that kind of rudeness. I usually don't comment or give bad reviews but she pushed the triggered and make me stop my busy schedule just review her bad attitude. I have nothing nice things to say to her or even this place. Wow. Great place. I was quite skeptical when I saw the photo on line showing a bunch of rvs on a gravel lot. But I wanted to be by a river. The photo is decieving. This is a great place. Yes, the sites are gravel, but I prefer that because my trailer stays cleaner. We had a waterfront site, walked to the river every morning with our coffee, and watched the Platte River go by. Each site has a wicker loveseat, chair and coffee table, along with artificial grass mat. Bathrooms are welldone and immaculate. Staff is totally friendly and helpful. Sites are tight; but that was okay with us. read more

Are you desperate? They are spending their money expanding instead of taking care of what is there. The basic surface for all the spaces and roads is a mix of gravel and gumbo clay. It sticks to your shoes, tires, underbody, dogs, kids, you name it. I assume when it is dry it is OK but I bet dust is a real problem. The water faucet in my space was so close to the ground I had to dig a hole to use a pressure regulator on my hose. There is no grass, just a piece of Asrroturf at each space. read more

River's Edge RV Park was a great place to stay on our way through Casper. We called the day of our arrival and we're lucky enough to get a spot. There is a great play structure for kids, and the turf around the park provides a nice setting and a great place to sit. The park is located right on the river, so a nice walk along the river is a must. The BEST part of this park are the immaculate bathroom and shower facilities. A soft rug upon stepping out of the shower in a private, locked unit made this the best shower I have ever had at an RV park. Lois was extremely kind and helpful at the front desk. She gave us a great suggestion to visit FireRock Steakhouse- where we ended up having a fabulous dinner. We will always stay at this park when we come through Casper. read more

My husband was too ill to leave the day of our departure and the manager was kind enough to squeeze us in for another day. We have stayed at two different RV Parks here in Casper. Hands down this one is the best. Front counter staff is fantastic and very welcoming. The trees along the river make for a very nice evening walk, even if the temps are in the mid-90's. Just make sure you have your bug repellent applied. read more

We only stayed for one night and we passed through, but this place has the best showers and the bathrooms were so clean!!! With rain and snowstorms it was fabulous to be able to shower and clean up in a warm and clean bathroom. Our site was big enough for our needs and the water connection was insulated which I found to be a nice extra. I haven't seen a campground yet in the past 2 states we've camped in to be so meticulous even down to having an insulated water connection. After staying at highly rated mediocre campgrounds, this one made up for all the bad we've seen this past week. read more

This rv Park is so quiet and lovely! We brought our kids for a week while my husband was in a training in Casper. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The play structure is leaning a little, but stable. The restrooms were very clean! We were there in the early spring and it was super cold in the mornings. I wish the restrooms were a little warmer. Overall a very pleasant stay! We will definitely be visiting again! read more

We camped here for the 2017 solar eclipse and the experience was great. The facilities are clean and fresh, staff is friendly and helpful, and the location on the water is really pretty. Highly recommended if you need to stopover in Casper! read more

We always stay here during College National Finals Rodeo, as well as any moves from North to South when in this part of the US. If you know RV places 'out West' can be rustic, this facility is not like this. It's a recent build and open year round. There's plenty of room for long rigs and the space provided is ample side/side. The hookups are well placed, stable and in good condition. The bath house was completed 2016. The facility is along the North Platte river. There's a laundry facility, meeting room, and patio where they allow use of their grill. The site also has artificial turf that's nailed down to the ground, as well as, a picnic table. Yes, it can get windy here - very windy. And, during season change, severe weather happens. There is a tornado shelter in the clubhouse if needed. We've been here through some weather, but we are from the East originally, so it spooked me a little at first. But, now we know it is Casper weather. There's also basketball court here too. We highly recommend this facility. The staff here knows Western hospitality. If you don't travel much or have an attitude, please slow down enough to realize there are still good places and people left around these parts. And if you can't be like this, please stay home. : ) read more

Pulled in with no reservation. Thankfully they had a full hookup (even had direct tv at the site) pull-through spot free. Most level site we have been at in our travels from the east coast. Area was nicely maintained and very clean. Close enough to Casper to run in for dinner. So other than the trains passing in the night, the area was quite peaceful. read more

We pulled in the week of National College rodeo finals (not knowing this ) and wanted to stay a week, well they only had 2 days. We had a slide that needed to be repaired. Lois the manager told us to call Jake. As it worked out she worked us in for a couple weeks . Lois makes this a great place to stay and if you need a repair call Jake, he is great! read more

We enjoyed our stay in our motorhome. Got the last spot open so make sure you have reservations. If you don't, you might miss out on staying in this place. The manager was super nice, the exercise room efficient, the game room cool and filled with movies and books, and the playground safe. The spots are level. We were traveling to Casper to Antelope hunt and called months in advance to make sure we would have a space reserved. Lois was helpful, polite and professional. Phone messages left were always returned in a prompt fashion. The park was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pictures are accurate in that the main park grounds are gravel, with small astro turf areas for each pull-through campsite. Trees were planted at each site, and while they were relatively new and not providing much shade, they will be a very nice addition in the future. A new picnic table, easily accessible water, electric, sewer and cable were present at the site. The space between the sites was very generous. The restrooms were delightfully clean and well maintained, as was the laundry room (4 washers, 4 dryers - $2.00 each). The washers did a good job and the clothes were dry with one dryer cycle. While we had no children with us, the playground was clean and the play sets were in good repair. The small office was stocked with the items you would most likely have forgotten, all at fair prices. There was bagged ice and ice cream available as well. While the sites are not located on the river, they are close enough to the river that you can easily see it, and with just a very short walk you are standing at the edge of the Platte River. The campground was quiet but for one train on Sunday night, and that would have been barely noticeable had it not blown its whistle at the intersection, but even then it was no where near offensive or over-bearing. The campground does have semi-permanent folks in residence but those spaces were also exceptionally clean and the residents were quiet and polite. There was no dog park (a fenced area for the dogs to romp and run) but with the river so close at hand it was not an issue at all, just a nice short walk took care of the matter. The actual town of Casper was just a few miles down the road, the shopping was delightfully endless and the choice of restaurants from fast food to quality steak houses was amazing. We stayed three full nights and four days and I would certainly book there again, and would highly recommend the park for its clean, well kept grounds and its superior management. read more
