We initially absolutely loved this place! We stayed here for five days and brought our boat. The…read morecottages are clean, in good shape, and very well-equipped. We had a pleasant stay and recommended it to our family and friends. We signed up for another stay for Labor Day weekend 2025, and put down a cash deposit. Unfortunately, we had a very serious family emergency involving out adult son. We were unable to stay there as we had hoped. We called and canceled. We were told that we would lose our cash deposit, and would not be eligible for a credit for another stay. My husband is the kindest, most respectful person and asked again for a break on our cash deposit. They wouldn't budge, and offered nothing to encourage us to come back. We are very sad as we loved the place, but don't understand how people can be so inflexible. As parents, they of all people should know that one's children have to come first. I hope that when one of their babies needs them on short notice, that they will get the support from others that they did not extend to us. Tony and Stacie O.
