Best barbershop in Virginia Beach, clippers have the vacuum attachment so never have hair on neck or shirt. My son hated barbershops after an experience at one of the "we specialize in kids" barbershops that use the cars for chairs. He now ask to go to Caste and always requests Kevin. Hair doesn't get all over you because they use a vacuum trimmer which is really convenient. No need to worry about loose hairs all over me anymore. Highly recommend! The service is Filipino barbers that specialize in all types of cuts. I got a medium length scissor cut and thankfully he took his time to get the details right. The thing that made this special was the entire 30 min cut was for $14 cash, such a steal. This is one of the only classic barber shops in VB that don't cost an arm and a leg. Absolutely 5 stars! My husband has been coming here for several, several years and is always pleased. Today we decided to take out 20 month old for his first real hair cut (my husband usually tries to trim it up). Caste was AMAZING! He could see my son was nervous and came to sit with him first to show he was kind and friendly and that there was nothing to be scared about. He was talking to him and complimenting his dinosaur shirt. He took his time with his hair cut and was so gentle and did a phenomenal job. My son was so comfortable and did such a great job and I know it was because Caste is experienced and so kind. I am so thrilled with his haircut!! This shop has been in business for as long as I can remember, at least since the early 90s! My brothers would come here during high school, and now I bring my sons here, too. It's all walk-in, no appointments. I prefer to wait for Mr. Caste, he seems to know how to give the best haircuts for all shapes and sizes :) My son has super straight hair that doesn't move, but Mr. Caste always does a great job. This time, I asked for a medium fade (skin), and as always it looked great. Also, free lollipops for well behaved customers. Always a plus! read more

For many years I just shaved my head,and 2 1/2 years ago I decided to let it grow and I got past my shoulder blades. today I came in for a slicked back undercut my hair was long enough to do it.. I just had a horrible experience at this barber shop. My barber was Caste, the actual owner. When he initially cut my hair, it was still a little too long, so I very politely asked if he could take just a little bit more off the top. He responded with an unprofessional and very rude attitude; it was like he was angry at me that I wasn't happy with the length. He proceeded to lecture me for several minutes. Moreover, as I was walking out of the place, he started talking about me to his coworkers in Filipino. He didn't realize I also understand Filipino as well. Overall, the owner of the shop is just plain rude and very unfriendly, and I don't recommend going to this shop. read more

People usually sit and wait their turn and typically the wait is that long if there are 3 barbers on board.
