Wildcat Roofing & Restoration - Temporary tile repair

It sneakily -- but obviously after wasting hours -- became clear they were all sales - and not for…read morethe roof repair I requested. A high pressure sales duo pushing a highly overpriced roof job that I didn't need (as confirmed by four other companies). I had asked just for a roof repair on Yelp of about 17 tiles and one skylight leak. They didn't even get up on the roof to see for themselves. I realized they were not listening and had a sales demeanor that I did not prefer. They requested to come in the house to "see" the leak which was not really visible, and it was puzzling they did not want to see the source of where the leak was coming from (the roof). They said I had enough pictures for them to get the idea? But it was clear they did not need to see anything, I asked for a written estimate, and after they left they called me from to sell me a new roof and they mentioned a new skylight too! But what was really shocking is I found after I pushed back and said goodbye went on to other things in the backyard, they got pushy and asked my wife to let them in to see the leak. Based on what I found on the security cameras, these clowns took pictures of other parts of the house's ceiling. Again they said they just wanted to see the skylight leak in the bathroom. Their false pretenses to put it mildly. One of them with his sunglasses on inside - claimed on the phone later -- some spots on the ceiling near air vents were leaks, total BS. Out of five bidders they were the only one that told me I needed a new roof and a new skylight. But they wouldn't put it in writing. And when I asked about their company, it just so happened they couldn't name a roof in my ZIP Code they had done. I never heard of them before and I've lived here 16 years. After we FINALLY got rid of them, I texted them asking if they got up on the roof and saw the 17 tiles for an estimate, but they insisted they needed to talk to me. Politely called back . They then tried to sell me on new roof and I then only gave me a verbal estimate for repair which was twice or more than any of the other four bids - and didn't even include fixing the skylight leak! Thus keeping the core part of the job subject to negotiation to any price - I feel bad for the victims they will get with this tactic. Avoid at all costs. these are the kind of companies that should not be on yelp. If I see these duo again, sunglasses make that unlikely, I'll contact the police. They were scammers in my experience, I can spot them having grown up in NYC. Don't be fooled, they have a gig going.

Any question I had Sean explained why and how the roof would be repaired. Sean's team cleaned up and left the property the way they found it. After repairing my roof, Sean provided pictures of the repairs, which showed me that the repairs where done. Appreciated the easy of working with Sean. Would not hesitate calling Sean again to get an estimate for my roof repair. This was the second time using Wildcat Roofing for hurricane damage. Marie

Subsequent assessment determined a full roof replacement was needed. This salesperson was great - initially - even made a long distance call for the current residents in the home there so that they could notify family of their situation. Really kind thing to do - right? That is about where our respect for the company ended. CMR's bid was high and our insurance disagreed on the price. CMR told us they always come in with a much higher bid knowing it would have to be whittled down before the insurance would agree. We had to use a lawyer to get the payment price agreed upon. This whole process may be a big scam - high bid, force the homeowner to get a lawyer... Subsequent communication was virtually nonexistent. no information was available as to when the project might begin. Lots of excuses when we could get replies. (Oh, of course they communicated when they wanted payment!) So, the roof was finally completed two years after the hurricane. For more than six months, there was just the sealing underlayer, which actually did leak, but was repaired quickly. The completed job is excellent, but the process to get there was excruciating frustrating and unacceptable. NEVR USE THIS COMPANY. Abysmal service.
