Stay away from this dental clinic. After a year from my husband's first and ONLY visit, they sent him a balance of $40 - where it says "recent". When front desk staff was asked what was it about, she just answered "I don't know what happened that time." First of all Ma'am, that's not how you deal with this type of concern. You should always offer an answer or solution to your clients. Just because you don't know what happened, it doesn't mean it's totally OK for us to pay any amount that you send us without a clear explanation. In the end, she just told us she will "adjust" the balance to zero. Second, that was a year ago & a different insurance. That is not on us in any way, we should not be dealing with this at all at this time. This may be a small amount yes, but this is out of our budget. Third, the male dental hygienist was rough on working around his teeth that he chipped one of the bridges and we still had to pay $150 for that visit. My husband already told him to be careful but he didn't. This is the main reason we are not coming back to that clinic. Also, the waiting area is dusty, seems like nobody has the time to clean it. I tried not to leave a negative comment when this happened last year, but with this thing that happened now which doesn't make sense, I just have to. Not sure why ANYONE would trust their dental care needs with these folks. I called the main number to make sure they took my dental insurance. The lady on the phone confirmed they did and I scheduled an appointment. Not 3 hours later, the local office calls me saying they are having trouble verifying my coverage. WHY??? On first impression the smell hits you in the face. I don't know if there is a sewer running underneath the clinic but it smells of sewage. The biggest problem by far is the bait and switch on pricing. The actual cost was 3 times the estimate. The squirrelly doctor comes out with this smug smile to explain how the estimate didn't account for certain things only he would know. The large burly receptionist laughs under her breathe as you are shocked by the final costs even though her $8 an hour receptionist job will not provide dental care either. So what do you do if you took off from work to deal with this pain? If there was a more accurate account for cost then you you would be able to make better decisions. This is a horrible place to book an appointment this place scheduled me a month out so I would be able to have a Saturday appointment. When I arrived to my appointment at 10:09 and my appointment was at 10:30am I was told the dentist has moved on to the next patient because my appointment was at 10 and not 10:30. I proceeded to let the front desk lady know ma'am I have on my calendar for 10:30 and I never received a confirmation email, call, or message you can see in my messages and call log and I showed her the phone. Please if there is anything you could do as I have shown you I never received a confirmation notification. She states someone confirmed the appointment I show her my phone again proving I didn't revive anything she laughs at me. I did say I don't see what is funny about my situation. She then tells me she would ask the dentist if he could still see me. As she is walking away laughing again at me. Let it be know i have waited a month for this appointment and have been in desperate need of a dentist visit as I finally have dental insurance. When I arrived for the appointment, the office manager said they did not have a hygienist and would not hire one until February. They would not be able to reschedule my appointment until April! Worst experience EVER!! My appointment was at 9A.M. didn't get called back till 10A.M. only because I asked what was taking so long. More time passed didn't see the doctor till 10:45 ish only to tell me that the xray tech missed one x-ray. He asked if I would like a straighter smile. I didn't make an appointment for that. Well what a few weeks can do to change an relationship. Could not have procedure done due to complications on my part on 10/24/2016. Rescheduled for 12/05/2016. Received 2 text messages confirming appointment. Received an confirmation txt at 12:00 12/02/2016. Received a call at 2:00 pm 12/02/2016 telling that that was no longer available and it would have to be done Tuesday - Thursday. When I explained that those days do not accommodate me. Honest Review This is the worst establishment that I have ever been to. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they don't regularly disinfect the waiting room chairs or equipment. The X-Ray machine they have is very old and is an extremely painful and uncomfortable process. The dentist shot a large needle into the back of my jaw which caused me to have lockjaw for an entire month. When I told him, he brushed it off and said that I must be grinding my teeth together. After telling him several times that my teeth and gums were hurting, he finally decided to believe me. I came back a week later and told him that my teeth were filed down too much. So his solution was to file them down even more causing extreme sensitivity. After paying over $2,000 in dental bills, the office sent a bill to my house asking an additional $10 for a COVID fee. Now I have to get another dentist to fix all the teeth that this dentist messed up. I am still in pain. Do not go Castle Dental Rosenberg! I have never had teeth issues before. Appointment was at 3. Didn't get called back till 4:15 and didn't see the dentist until 4:30. The dentist was not friendly at all. Asked why I was here and searched my mouth for about 30 seconds said "no cavities. I guess my job is done." Then they said I was done and I could schedule my appointment for a cleaning at the front desk. I was very confused because the whole reason I scheduled the appointment was because I needed a cleaning. They said their dental hygienist doesn't do cleanings for the afternoon appointments because she has to leave and pick up her kids from school. The only reason I'm giving this place a one star is because I have to, other wise it wouldn't even get that. Took my elderly grandmother here to get a check up because she was having knee surgery and the doctor wanted to make sure she had no infection. She saw the dentist and besides some minor dental work that she needed everything was ok and they sent her home. Her other doctor called her and told her that they could not do the procedure on her knee because the dentist called and said she had infection, and an abcess. They also told the doctor that they did a minor procedure on her mouth while she was there to help with pain. REALLY????????? She calls the dentist back and tells them why did they lie to her doctor? She doesn't have an abcess, they didn't do a procedure at all and besides minor dental work, there's no infection. Can I just say, she's still waiting for the dentist to call her back to let her know why he lied. This place is just out to rip people off. Called and scheduled a cleaning. 8am Saturday morning, I arrive and have to fill out paperwork (as expected) but didn't get in for an appointment until 8:35am. After x rays and a brief meeting with the dentist (it's now 9:15am), I'm told I need to set up an appointment with the dental hygienist. What? That was my reasoning for setting up the appt when I called! Luckily, their hygienist has an opening at 9:30am. The hygienist was very unprofessional. Let me first explain that this was my first dentist appointment postpartum. She Accused me of smoking cigarettes (never have in my life) and scolded me on the fact that I had my tongue pierced as a teenager (even though I no longer have it..). Apparently all of these accusations came because of gingivitis build up. As I was leaving, she asked me what I learned from this visit? I explained to her that I'm a 30 year old first time mother, and I learned to tell the dentist up front that this is my first appt postpartum so i don't get insensitively accused of nonsense. I had one dds start my procedure, meaning he is the only one that can finish it, so of course we have had several reschedules due to him only being there on certain weekends. They tell anyone who calls they are open on weekends but they should give a disclaimer with that info that their office opens late then, rushes through procedures & gives no clarification on what they are doing at any given time. The staff is not gentle at all due to the hurry they are in. Even when you have an appt I guarantee you will wait 2 hours when you do go in for ortho or even services. I had a impression done over 2 months ago & Maria guaranteed she would rush it from the lab, I am still waiting for a call back, despite calling several times, leaving messages & holding again & again. I am now with a line of carecredit with uncompleted dental services that of course i have been charged for. I give this 1 star because I cant give any less. I called the main office about a problem I have with the office about its false marketing claims of payment plan to patients. The main office instructed me to call the office manager by the name of Maria. I called her and explained my situation to her; the very first thing that came out of her mouth was she doesn't appreciate me calling her private number (I'm not psychic to know that was her cell phone) at that time of the day (at 5:30pm). She talked to me like I was nothing and was not empathetic. At the end of the call, she promised to call me the next day when she gets to the office and review my chart. ABSOLUTELY horrible, I took my daughter for braces. Everytime we went in for an appointment there was a different orthodontist. After 2 1/2 years and spending over $4000 on her braces she still had an over bite. When I took her back to castle with my concerns, my issues were not addressed. I was told they would not put her braces back on. I was told that her teeth were not supposed to be perfect. And that she is supposed to have a slight over bite....I took her to another office for a consultation and learned she has an over bite and an over jet. She will have to wear braces for 2 more years and I have to pay another $4200. Castle dental took my money and DID NOT provide satisfactory services. I want my money back! I went in to this office needing a crown. Ended up with needing 2. That's fine!!!! #1 Problem is that temporary crowns are NOT suppose to break off driving down the road doing NOTHING.NO drinking or eating, just broke! I have heard from others about having issues with going to Castle Dental but this is really the only place my insurance covers. I called and made an appt. because part of my tooth broke off. Luckily I was not in pain. I waited in the waiting room for about 1 hour 10 min before they finally took me back to take X-rays. The girl doing my ex-rays was nice and was sorry that they were running behind. I told her I know how you guys operate it is all about the monthly numbers and quota you have to meet she said exactly..... I then had to wait in a chair for 30 more minutes to be seen by a dentist. All he did was look at my teeth and had his assistant use her tool to count my teeth/gum numbers. She claims I had some 4's and I have never had 4 in 45 years. Next thing I know they said the girl at the front had to schedule me for another appt. because they were behind and they couldn't fix my tooth that was broken and couldn't clean my teeth. I was furious since at this point I had been in their office 2 hr. and all I got done was ex-rays and my teeth glanced at. So the treatment counselor said that they have determined I need the "deep cleaning for gingivitis" not the regular teeth cleaning that is covered by insurance. I call BS on that because I have NEVER had to have anything but a regular cleaning my entire life. So this deep cleaning costs 153.00 out of pocket and then they will make be come back in for the other regular cleaning that is covered by insurance. I told the girl I don't want a deep cleaning that I want the regular one that is covered by insurance. She told me that they can't do a regular one because the dentist "claims" I need the deep cleaning one. From what I have heard from other friends that have gone to Castle the completely screw you over and when I told the girl I wanted my X-rays on a disc so I could take them to another dental for a second opinion I was told that I would have to pay like 25-30 for that. My daughter has braces, so she has been coming here for quite some time. I scheduled here cleaning, exam, and an adjustment on May 28th at 9:30 am. At 9:20am, I get a call saying that I need to reschedule the appointment for the exam and cleaning because their machine was broken. I have a 30 minute drive to get there and they open up at 8am. They could have called more than 10 minutes before my appointment to inform me of their broken machine. I rescheduled for today, June 12th for a 9:30am appointment, but the time is now 10:10am and I am still waiting. I asked for an update and the employee at the front desk tells me that they don't have her down for an exam, but just for a cleaning. I explained that I rescheduled before because of the broken machine 2 weeks ago and she says, "let me pull her chart." I was scheduled for am 11:00 AM appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes early to fill out the paperwork, etc. There was no need to arrive early. I waited over 2 hours before being called in for x-rays. No one ever bothered to give me a status of my appointment or why there was such a long delay in seeing me. The staff seemed more preoccupied with lunch plans than the patients. When I finally get called in for the x-rays, the tech tells me that they are having problems with the x-ray software and have been having problems for the last 4 - 5 days. Why they did not inform me of this as I waited for two hours in the waiting room is beyond me. As she calls for technical help to get the computer working, I'm looking around at other patients being worked on. I must say a feeling of doubt and concern came over me. There was such lack of professionalism. The dental assistant I observed seemed bored, and not really attentive to the patient. At that point I walked outside and made an appointment with a private dentist on FM 359 (Dr. Cook). What a difference! I am writing this one day after a tooth extraction and preliminary work on a root canal. I have zero pain and was able to chew normally. The pain never happened. I hate giving bad reviews but I think it's important for the public to know what to expect. Also, I hope this helps Castle Dental regroup and introduce better office / patient relation policies. My initial contact with Castle's phone rep. was great. That's where the great ended, and the huge waste of my time began. The website where I was told I could download, print, and fill out the paperwork, did not work. Fine, my wife and I arrived at our appointment time and sat down in a nearly empty building, no receptionists, one customer. We noticed those forms that weren't available online, and began filling them out, as 15, then 20 minutes passed, and still not a sign of anyone at the window. Then she appeared, quickly looked over our way, did not smile, nor say a word, then, disappeared once more. Another 10 minutes passed. (now 30 minutes passed my appointment time.) The woman appeared once more, this time, still not greeting us, but sort of looking our way. Hurrah! I handed her my form with a question about the part that advised me that I was responsible for filing my own claims, and warning me that my insurance may only pay for minimal treatment, and they were in the business of providing optimal treatment, and furthermore I must agree to follow all the doctor's recommendations. (Initial here.) So, I ask her about this. She said it was to give her permission to file with my insurance. When I told her that's not what it said, she ask me if I was prepared to pay cash? Otherwise, now loads of attitude, glaring at me as if I had insulted her Mother, You'll need to sign! I again told her that's not what the form said, and informed her I'd had this insurance for 20 years, and my last dentist for at least that long, and had never seen such an unreasonable demand. That without ever talking to this doctor I was agreeing on paper to follow his orders. Now she was literally fuming, while admitting finally she didn't know, but it was "something corporate puts in there." Then turned around to leave. I tossed the clipboard on the counter, it clacked. OMG! Sir! she barked, "If you're going to throw things, I guarantee the doctor will not see you! It was now almost hour past my appointment time, and cutting into my wife's.
