I went for a cleaning today and the hygienist did an amazing job! My teeth and gums felt so good after I left. It had been years since I had a dental cleaning. Last week I had a molar crown fall off. My insurance assigned me this location, and so I gave them a call. No one picked up after three calls over a half hour, so I physically visited the location to talk to the front desk. The woman who greeted me was friendly, but with only one other person in the waiting room and no phone calls while I was there I have no clue why she couldn't pick up the phone for me, the office was not busy on this day. I described my situation, showed her the crown in a plastic bag, and asked for her earliest appointment. She said she'd try to get me in that day depending on if another patient confirmed their appointment, agreed this was an emergency, and wrote my name and number down underneath at least a dozen pages of her other notes, and said she'd call me while letting me know that I would probably have to wait a week if that patient got back to her. I did not receive a call, so I scheduled an emergency appointment for this week on the website. At 8PM the night before my appointment, I am told they will not see anyone that isn't there for routine hygiene and that I need to reschedule again. Less than 24 hours notice to tell me I have to wait an additional week (according to the website scheduler) with a tooth cut in half and exposed to the open air? Negative stars. Aggravating does not even begin to describe it. To the owner of this establishment, don't even bother with your pitiful form response to negative reviews. I have waited almost a month for my new crown to be fitted. Apparently they are only open for 2 days per week. My temporary crown fell out two weeks ago. They canceled my appointment twice , then I have had to wait another two weeks without knowing what is going on. They did not call me to reschedule. When I call them it's an answer machine. I paid for the treatment but have heard nothing. I've never been treated like this by any dentist before. Shocking disregard for their patients and their business. I have had so much trouble with Castle dental. They charge you for a consultation that last two minutes and then tell you you need some specialty work done. It took me almost 3 weeks to get an appointment only to find out later when I got there that their specialist is leaving the practice they won't have time to do my work. I drove all the way out to Georgetown from Leander only to find that out. There has been so much confusion and lack of customer service and I am totally done with Castle dental. read more

I just had the most amazing dentist visit here I am still awed. My girlfriend started having terrible terrible pain yesterday that ER pain meds couldn't touch. In just over an hour they had the X-rays done, offending tooth pulled, everything nice and cleaned and we were leaving in so much less pain. Their dental plan also makes things so much more affordable so be sure to ask. Dr Gilbert is personable and charismatic, putting an anxious mind at ease and getting the work done with capable hands. His tech/dental hygienist Ms.Gallina (spelling unsure) was so sweet and silly and had us in as good spirits as we could be. Karen runs the front desk smoothly and will help you get fit in for emergencies and then schedule you for a well timed follow up. The waiting room isn't anything fancy but it's got decent chairs, your keurig set up, water and you're welcome to wait in your car with plenty of parking. I should have known something was wrong when a dentist's office set aside a day or week in the year offering a 50% discount for denture service. I had just after 14 months going back and forth with Aspen Dental trying to get a top denture fitted to my mouth with no luck whatsoever. I gave them every chance to make my denture correctly and they tried to withhold my refund. I finally got my refund and it was that refund that I was able to use at Castle. They were friendly, courteous, and professional at Castle but told me I could not get a refund from them if I didn't like the end product. As it turned out the denture I received did not fit. At first, it fit snugly in my mouth but it hurt. I asked the doctor if she could do something about it and she ground it down where it was not so tight. I commented to her about the appearance of the denture she couldn't see the problem which amazed me. I was leaving town for good within a week of my denture being ready so I could not do much about it. Now, about 3 months later the plate does not fit in my mouth without a ton of glue applied. I applied a soft liner to it and it still does not want to stay in but it is better than before. The next problem that is to me a serious problem is the denture has about 1/4 inch of teeth and 2 and 1/2 inches of gum. I look like Mr. Ed the talking horse from that television show years ago. I can't smile like I smile. I have to restrain my smile. I'm self-conscience of it and I'm afraid they will fall out if I were to smile big like I do naturally. Lastly these teeth are bucked! I appear to have seriously bucked teeth while wearing them. I seldom wear them because of that and the other reasons. I'm out 1,100.00. If I had not gotten the 50% off I would be out 2,000.00 and twice as mad. BEWARE, OF CASTLE DENTAL AND WHILE WE'RE AT IT ASPEN TOO! THEY ARE TOTAL RIP-OFF'S!!!! They might clean teeth well or pull teeth but for dentures, forget them! Save your money and find an older dentist. My girlfriend did and her set is beautiful! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I'm completely STUNNED and would just LOVE to point out that the staff here! from when i called to when I came in and left, I genuinely had an AMAZING experience! Karen & Reanne (I hope I spelled that right), we're absolutely fantastic, so friendly and took their time with me! I'd been calling different places to get work done, no one wanted to take me and they were so happy to help and get me in on the same day. Karen is my hero, I don't know what I would have done without them! I pregnant so other places wouldn't take me, they said no come in, we'll squeeze you in and make you a priority! I can't remember the doctors name but he was also so kind and made me feel like the only patient there, he explained everything thoroughly so we were all on the same page and that made me feel really good! They answered all my questions, made sure baby was safe during the x-rays and were so helpful!! I had something he was concerned about and because I'm pregnant they called an oral surgeon to take care of me ASAP and I already have an appointment with him this week! I feel like something like that would take longer but they were worried about my health and the babies so they made sure I got in with the surgeon!! Recommending everyone here from now on and will be the only place I go!! Thank you Castle Dental!!! You are the best at what you do!! read more

I don't take the time to write reviews normally, but it is whole heartedly deserved today. For the first time in my 43 years I am enjoying my trips to the dentist, even without nitrous! The front staff is awesome, makes sure to work around your schedule and gets you back in the chair at your scheduled time. Karen is a front desk rockstar. Both assistants are friendly and personable, do their job well and obviously care that I am comfortable. They are warm and inviting. They are the perfect balance of social and professional. Dr. Gilbert is by far the nicest dentist I have ever had. He takes the time to explain to me procedures, answers my stupid questions and makes sure his priorities are mine as well. He remembers prior conversations, asks about my kids and talks lovingly about all of his patients. His dental skills are top notch and made sure my bridges, crown and filling were completed perfectly. I am so happy with my new smile! This dental office is incredibly wonderful, due to the fabulous people that work there. First and foremost is Karen, who answered the phone after 5 pm when I was trying to find help for my husband's dental emergency. She helped me from getting an appointment set up for the next day, to guiding me in taking care of our dental insurance. She went above and beyond. And Dr. Gilbert, what a great guy. He's not only funny and smart, but he's certainly not out to take anyone to the "cleaners". And the dental tech, I forgot her name, she was so sweet and it was a crack-up to watch her laugh as we joked around. I went to the dentist today for the first time in a while. I chipped my front tooth so I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I was kind of embarrassed because my teeth are a mess. I can't even remember when I last saw a dentist. So I checked YELP and I called Castle Dental on 183. A very nice voice answered the phone. Her name was Karen. She was able to get me an appointment in four days. She later called me back because of a cancellation so I was able to get in the next morning. I was very impressed with the people in the office. (Especially Karen). They took me right in. I'm terrified to go to the dentist. Dr. Gilbert came in and he was so nice, friendly and very professional. Not only was I able to get my X-rays and initial checkup done. I also got my teeth cleaned and she did an amazing job. Another plus...they're open one Saturday a month and today was my lucky day. Before my experience with Castle Dental, I dreaded going to the dentist. There are several things that made the experience great. The friendliness and ease of scheduling an appointment. Additionally, the thoroughness of hygienist and doctor in checking my teeth. Also, I appreciate Dr. Gilbert for being forthcoming about any potential issues. I was very disappointed in the service they provided. I went to my appointment they did the x-rays, the dentist examination me. Informed me of some issues and concerns regarding the examination. They told me they would call me regarding the prices for my issues and I never heard anything back. I left a message but still NO COMMUNICATION.
