I had a sensitive and unique issue that could only be addressed by a CPA. But not just any CPA, I needed someone that was knowledgeable and would be able to defend their work in case of an audit. After searching around, I came across Ahad & Co and what a relief and blessing they are. I simply called them, explained my issue, then I was connected with one of their professionals. The CPA confirmed that it was something they could tackle and we began the process. At the time, I was working with Tarikur, an absolute treasure to work with! He explained what needed to be done, asked all pertinent questions, and guided me thru the process. In the end, I came back with an awesome refund, and greater than that, I had a peace of mind with regard to my situation. Fast forward to 2026, I did not hesitate to have them prepare my taxes again. Unfortunately, Tarikur is no longer there, but I was assisted by Akram. There were some delays but he completed my taxes before the deadline and his did a great job preparing everything. I found it very easy to review my return and understand his rationale for his preparation. Furthermore, I received a great return again and I could not be more pleased! Aside from my experience with the staff, I really appreciate their customer portal. There is no need to email anything because you can upload all of your documents to their secure portal. You can also chat with your rep, pay your invoices, and download your returns, all in one place. I especially appreciated that as a returning customer, all my documents were there, so Akram was able to see what was done last year. Super efficient! In terms of pricing, they will seem high if you are used to doing your own taxes or maybe you've gone to a local tax preparer. However, it's important to understand that these are true tax experts who can navigate any situation, so you're in good hands. If you are dealing with a sensitive tax situation and want a peace of mind, I highly recommend using them. I filed on the deadline last year and ahad&co, cpa literally…read morenever filed my taxes. Just didn't file them at all. I reached out to them months later inquiring about the filing for another matter and they casually informed me they never filed them. They offered plenty of excuses, blamed me for filing them within the legal submission parameters (i.e. on/by April 15th), and offered zero compensation for their egregious error. They actually proceeded to charge me the full amount to file and even expected me to pay the late-filing & extension fees that I incurred as a direct and sole result of an accounting firm's inability to file taxes! Every single representative I have dealt with is allergic to accountability and deals exclusively in excuses. Shameful and unprofessional behavior all around... especially from Edderkys Gonzalez and the ceo, Ahad Ali. He is full of excuses all while admitting they screwed up. They offered $100 off of preparation service for this year...I immediately declined. Then they offered $200 off and I immediately declined. That is a fraction of what they cost me already from last year in late penalties alone and the ceo told me the absolute most he could discount tax preparation at his own company was $200. Clearly a lie. He's the ceo of a small, private, company...not the ceo of Goldman Sachs.

The place is seasonal, as far as I know, and they're not splurging on the space. It's on the second floor of a pretty crappy building on Kingsbridge. The cater pretty exclusively to neighborhood folks, and it gets BUSY 'round tax time. You just have to sign in on the sign in sheet, pass in your documents, explain your situation if necessary, then make a trip back to pick stuff up. Simple.

Office is in a broken down building in Kingsbridge but who cares I only visit him once a year, if he's comfortable there than so be it. It gets pretty packed during tax season, you sign your name and pretty much wait about an hour until your name is called . This is why I sign in, go across the street to the Chinese food bring it back and eat while I wait. I end up leaving happy from a full belly and a good return can't get any better than that.

Everett was of course very nice the first time, so he can earn our business. He promised to always be available if we need anything or have any questions and this held true 1 time. A month after doing business and not receiving the proper tax refund, my husband and I have been trying to call constantly and no answer. It was so bad we got worried and thought something bad had happened to the guy. One day I decided to call from a different phone number (one he wouldn't recognize) and all of a sudden he answers. When he found out who it was, he said he was really busy but would call back. Weeks later, NOTHING. SIR, half of the tax refund we were guaranteed is missing. Did you take it? Did you mess up? Why is it so difficult to get ahold of you now. Will never do business here again and will recommend everyone I know to stay away from this tiny scammy office!

I used to love Dina. I've been going to her since 2010. Back then, you'd be able to walk in and get…read moreyour taxes done. As the years have gone by, she's grown through word of mouth and for the last few years you had to wait outside for hours just to get in and then sit for hours more on top of that waiting for your number to be called. It's not unusual to get there at 6am and leave at 3pm. About a year or two ago she implemented a new rule that you had to be one of the first 25 in line. So if you get all the way there at 6am and there are already 25 people in line, you're SOL. This happened to me once. At this point, I should've stopped coming. But she always got me an amazing return so I continued. Last year, she told me she was going to submit my return. For a month and a half I didn't receive anything so I checked with the IRS and they had NO RECORD OF MY TAXES. I text Dina asking about it. No response. 2 weeks later I check in again to which she simply responds, "Will be back on Monday." Monday comes and goes. No response. I check in again. I'm pregnant and due any day and at this point just want some kind of resolution. Plus I'd received another letter from the IRS. Dina doesn't respond. 4 days later I check in AGAIN. She doesn't respond for days. At this point I'm in the hospital because I had my baby, which I warned her was about to happen. In September, I had a question about how to change my taxes since I had a baby to which she answers immediately and cordially. I was considering going to someone new but after she was nice, decided to let it go. WRONG DECISION. It's tax time again and I called to see if I could make an appointment instead of wait in line because there's no way I can bring my 7 month old all the way downtown at 5am and wait for hours. I was told they have appointments now. Yay! So I confirm for March 21st. I should've known things would go wrong when I asked if it was for 10:30 and the response was "thank you." Um, ok. The next day I heard there was going to be a bad snowstorm so I text asking if they'd be open. No response. I try calling. No answer. The day of my appointment I text again. No response. I call and call. No one answers. I didn't want to risk losing out on my appointment so I rush to drop my daughter at daycare and go all the way down in the storm. I get to the office and it's dark with a closed sign on the door. I text that I'm there. I explain I took the day off of work and need to know if she is coming. No one ever answers me. I wait at a coffee shop just in case. Silence. TL;DR: Don't go here. Dina doesn't care about her customers.
