Tax expertise at its best! Back in 2025, I desperately needed to find a certified public accountant (CPA) to handle my taxes. I had a sensitive and unique issue that could only be addressed by a CPA. But not just any CPA, I needed someone that was knowledgeable and would be able to defend their work in case of an audit. After searching around, I came across Ahad & Co and what a relief and blessing they are. I simply called them, explained my issue, then I was connected with one of their professionals. The CPA confirmed that it was something they could tackle and we began the process. At the time, I was working with Tarikur, an absolute treasure to work with! He explained what needed to be done, asked all pertinent questions, and guided me thru the process. In the end, I came back with an awesome refund, and greater than that, I had a peace of mind with regard to my situation. Fast forward to 2026, I did not hesitate to have them prepare my taxes again. Unfortunately, Tarikur is no longer there, but I was assisted by Akram. There were some delays but he completed my taxes before the deadline and his did a great job preparing everything. I found it very easy to review my return and understand his rationale for his preparation. Furthermore, I received a great return again and I could not be more pleased! Aside from my experience with the staff, I really appreciate their customer portal. There is no need to email anything because you can upload all of your documents to their secure portal. You can also chat with your rep, pay your invoices, and download your returns, all in one place. I especially appreciated that as a returning customer, all my documents were there, so Akram was able to see what was done last year. Super efficient! In terms of pricing, they will seem high if you are used to doing your own taxes or maybe you've gone to a local tax preparer. However, it's important to understand that these are true tax experts who can navigate any situation, so you're in good hands. If you are dealing with a sensitive tax situation and want a peace of mind, I highly recommend using them. I filed on the deadline last year and ahad&co, cpa literally never filed my taxes. Just didn't file them at all. I reached out to them months later inquiring about the filing for another matter and they casually informed me they never filed them. They offered plenty of excuses, blamed me for filing them within the legal submission parameters (i.e. on/by April 15th), and offered zero compensation for their egregious error. They actually proceeded to charge me the full amount to file and even expected me to pay the late-filing & extension fees that I incurred as a direct and sole result of an accounting firm's inability to file taxes! Every single representative I have dealt with is allergic to accountability and deals exclusively in excuses. Shameful and unprofessional behavior all around... especially from Edderkys Gonzalez and the ceo, Ahad Ali. He is full of excuses all while admitting they screwed up. They offered $100 off of preparation service for this year...I immediately declined. Then they offered $200 off and I immediately declined. That is a fraction of what they cost me already from last year in late penalties alone and the ceo told me the absolute most he could discount tax preparation at his own company was $200. Clearly a lie. He's the ceo of a small, private, company...not the ceo of Goldman Sachs. read more

I heard so many good things about CPA Ahad's firm and I'm so happy and proud of him. I always appreciate young person and their business. This year I filed my personal taxes through Ahad & Co, but if I'll be honest with you I'm disappointed with their service. I used to get better assistance and attention from my previous Tax filer (H&R Block) . The tax associate was Joy and he is not clear about his duties. He thought his duites are confined within sending some online links where people can upload their tax documents. As I was new with them, I did not understand their process and websites properly and asked his assistance several times and definitely I am not satisfied with his assistance. He just send me multiple pages to sign back and was saying me to check everything is okay. Are you kidding me, Joy ? I'm not a Tax professional , it's his duty he has to check everything with Ahad as I provided all required documents. He was supposed to explain me with all inquires. I asked him to rearrange all tax documents for the year 2021 so in future I can submit in a single file as needed. Once again he disappointed with his promise. Affordable, they know what they are doing and based on many good reviews of this accountant, I decided to get my taxes done with him. I was waiting for a bit but it was worth it since I got my taxes done with very limited fuss and muss. They were even able to set up quarterly estimates tax payments (which I'd not done because I had no clue how to do it & my income record was incomplete). I went to the Bronx location, which was easy to get to from my home and I didn't feel frightened going there on a weekday morning. I also made sure to ask about neighborhood safety since I'm far from an expert on the Bronx. I have been filing my taxes with my parents CPA for a few years now because they would claim me in their taxes. I thought that would be the same this year but I decided to go a different route and find my own CPA to go to because at the other office we would wait for hours and I don't have that kind of time anymore. With Ahad I was able to send him my W2 and any tax documents I had via email and spoke via Facebook Messenger regarding everything. Communication was fast and clear. We filed my taxes a month before deadline and he got them done in a few days.
