Beautiful grounds, well lit and clear paths to get to the trees easily, and the trees themselves were impressively manicured. It was worth the drive from Exeter, even considering we drove by several other options to get there. We had a car full of family (8 people), including my wife's elderly parents. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and made accommodations for my in-laws so that they were involved in our experience as well. The prices were on point with other farms, but the quality of the trees was noticeably above others. When they found out that my son had just returned from a tour in the middle-east, they thanked him for his service an even gave us a discount on the tree! Can't recommend them enough! Best experience in a long time, and they made our families Christmas.

If you look closely, you might spot a heron or several turtles coming out of the mud, marching slowly toward the tidal waters as the river's edge fills back in. You can even access Vaughan Woods from a footpath, if you'd like to get a hike in. Of course, you can always bring a blanket, a picnic, and just enjoy the gorgeousness that surrounds you. We were able to custom tailor the menu to be exactly what we wanted to serve, and it was all made on-site from fresh ingredients - something that is not easy to find at event venues. My family is Italian, from New York and hard to please when it comes to food, and they were all raving about every single dish that was served. Donna's assistance leading up to the event in coordinating with vendors and her hands-on presence during event night made the process seamless. I didn't have a wedding planner / day-of coordinator, and ended up not needing one - she made everything happen perfectly, even making sure our elderly guests had easy access to their seats. It would be awesome to make the bunkers more friendly, as they do in Hawaii. There were also challenges with trenches of bushes running across the fairway and being new to the course and selecting the wrong club cost me some shots. The wife got upset as it cost her a lot more shots than me. They were airing the greens so it was nice to get a discount. I liked the course and I think most golfers would. The back 9 was more beautiful and open than the front 9. But the course was in very good shape and we will play often on our visits. The fairways were as good as our Hawaii courses but the roughs are tougher for sure. Many oaks vs minimal coconut trees so club selection is key when playing this course. As of august 27,2025 it was a very well maintained course. Hats off to the crew. We will be back! The staff is friendly and the burgers are great at the clubhouse. Plus they have a nice bar and big screen TVs to watch golf! What a great place and view to have a drink off the lanai.
