They provided wonderful care for my children. I have consistently been able to schedule appointments. Whenever I call they are always polite and express their deepest apologies if they need to place me on hold because I called in the middle of a conversation. My kids have gone to this doctor since we first moved to Colorado in 2018. They are rarely sick and have not needed much care. Every time we went in, the front desk was rude. In addition, when you call in, you have to wait for a long time just for someone to answer the phone. Today, I called to schedule my kids' well visits. I was told that we had been "released" from the office because of a past due balance of $300. I was never told about the balance, never received an email or postal mail, etc. We have both insurance and an HSA that would've easily covered the amount. They told me that I have been turned over to collections and if I want to schedule an appointment, I need to call the debt collection company, work it out with them and then I can call back after they have confirmed that it has been paid. For such a small amount, why not just call me or have me pay it at my next visit? We had one good appointment at the office with a male doctor a few years ago (he was actually not full time on the staff, just filling in), but the rest have been rushed. read more

The front office staff is unprofessional and unreliable. I have called twice to make an appointment and both times they said they would call me back the next day and never did. In addition when I called back they made several administrative mistakes. When I was in the office they spoke very loudly when discussing private information and the entire waiting room overheard. I felt like a second class citizen because my 2 foster children are on Medicaid. One time as I was changing my baby's diaper in my car, 2 of the front office ladies approached me aggressively because they thought I was someone else. No apology, no explanation. I feel very uncomfortable at this practice. I gave it 2 starts only because the PA I saw was adequate. read more

The front staff is completely rude. Hire some more front desk help because one person can't handle the phones. Ive called at several different times during the day and I was giving "I am the only one taking phone calls, so you can ether wait or call back at another time" I have a child who is sick, and the last thing any parent needs is to be told to call back when its more convent for them. Absolutely love Dr B. He is great with my child and you can just tell he cares and is passionate. Plus he's young so you don't feel like you're dealing with someone who is out of touch with the time. Very knowledgeable doc and very nice nurses. read more

As many others have said, we have been going to Castle Rock Pediatrics for several years. We used to love the practice and we absolutely adored Dr. Ford (Who has since gone to work at the Children's Hospital). I hit my final straw today, we have to take one of my children in, for monthly visits, that are generally very short appointments. However, I arrived 4 minutes late, and was told I would have to reschedule. I took my son out to my car, and went back in the office, to tell them, that it is ridiculous that 4 minutes late constitutes a no-show, and forces a reschedule. All of which is all ironic, considering they were running 1.5 hours behind at our last appointment. While I accept and will respect late policies, the vast majority of them, that I have seen, give people at least 15 minutes span, not 4 minutes. Very sad, and we will be transferring to a new pediatrician. read more

We have been taking my son here since he was 3 days old. The office staff is very helpful and nice. Our original doctor Shemelpheig is no longer there and since then we have seen someone different almost every visit. However each of them seemed well qualified and treated my son with great care. We plan to start bringing our newest addition to them this Spring. read more

Fast to get us on the schedule and our appt my son was seen right away. Which I like. I hate waiting with a toddler full of energy. All the Office staff we had contact with were friendly/helpful and Dr was great to explain everything during well child visit to my husband. I had to show up later. Will be taking my other 2 children to see them as well. Office is a little off by its self but there was plenty of parking and not hard to find. read more

Dr. Ostapko is fantastic! I couldn't imagine bringing my DD anywhere else!!! They have been seeing her since she was born. The whole staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. For sick appointments they can always get you in quickly to be seen! read more

I've been taking my kiddos there since my youngest was born five years ago. We can't say enough about the front desk staff. Roxy and Nancy are the best support team ever, and they make you feel like family. There have been some changes w medical staff, but w the amazing MAs, etc and front staff, they make transition smooth! We love you guys! read more

My son is almost 18 months and we just moved to castle rock a few months ago. When we were looking for a pediatrician I stumbled upon this office after trying another pediatrician in the area (dr. Stage). We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Thieme. She was terrible!! She manipulated my son as if he were a doll she was angry with. Plus, she didn't even wash her hands before touching him. That's a red flag to me. The nurse was ok with my son, but not the nicest either. She also didn't wear gloves when giving my son his shots. Needless to say, we are not returning and I will not recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

Not impressed. We're healthy people so this was just a formality after having our second son. We won't be back after turning down some things and then being called repeatedly at home. If you want an office that seems to be formula happy, this ones for you. They were easy to get in to when we needed a form for our oldest and they have cool stickers. read more

I would strongly urge you to not visit this Dr's office. If you need a pediatrician in Castle Rock, Pediatrics at the Meadows is WAY better or if you have Kaiser, we love Kaiser in Castle Rock. My son came down with a really bad cold which I thought might have been the flu so I called Castle Rock Pediatrics to see if I could speak to a nurse. The lady at the front desk asked why I wanted to speak to a nurse so I explained to her what was going on, she put me on hold, and told me the nurse wanted me to come in. The nurse wouldn't even speak to me. I called Pediatrics at the Meadows (which we aren't even a patient at) and a nurse called me back within minutes and took the time to tell me what things I should buy at the store to help my sons cold so I didn't have to come in and spend a $150 sick visit. This isn't the first time I've been disappointed with Castle Rock Pediatrics but thankfully we are no longer a patient there. read more

My husband & I had a terrible experience at an appointment with Lara a PA. When we brought our child in to be seen. She was rude & would not let us as parents speak on multiple visits to answer her questions about our child. In fact she copped an attitude, was very confrontational & wouldn't let us get a word in edgewise. We requested to not see her again & still give this office another chance in hopes that there were other providers that would give us & our child a better experience. The front desk never bothered to add in their notes that we requested to not see Lara again for our child yet, it came as a shock when Lara called us with follow up information from that terrible appointment we just had with her & requested not to see her again. Unreal! As uncomfortable as it was for her to behave the way she did at that last appointment in front of us & our child I asked Lara to please never call us again & we prefer a different provider. I called back & spoke to Roxy at the front desk & asked politely why Lara was even reaching out to us after our terrible visit with her. Roxy then proceeded to yell at me accusing us as parents as having "several run-ins" with multiple providers in the office (that never happened by the way) & now we are being dismissed from this office. I called Roxy out on this stating it's not ok to ever lie about someone claiming they did something that never happened. Roxy the receptionist admitted she wasn't in the appointment that me, my husband & child were at with Lara so she didn't witness Lara's behavior that day. It really wasn't her place to recklessly speak on this or try & defend Lara to deflect the problem, turn the blame on us instead of being accountable or accuse a parent wrongfully. No child or parent should ever have to deal with any bullying or manipulation from any doctor's office. There was a professional way to handle our terrible situation but, Castle Rock pediatrics failed our family. A doctor's office should be a safe & welcoming environment to bring your child. read more

We have been visiting Castle Rock Pediatrics for the last 12 years and we are very satisfied with this practice. Dr. Thieme and her staff are very thorough. They answer all our questions in a timely manner. The front office staff follow through with all requests for paperwork and with scheduling. This practice offers same day appointments. When our second daughter was born, one of the PAs went to the hospital to check in on her. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Their child's psychiatrist is absolutely unethical in her methods, as Is the rest of the office. I am so disappointed and hope this place gets cleared out and hires all new providers. We recently wen to Castle Rock Pediatrics for a well-visit, and Dr. Thieme was wonderful, prompt, and thorough in her examination of our daughter. In addition, Nancy always makes sure we get health forms back within a day for school and daycare. There have been some ups and downs over the years with staff turnover, but the health of our children remains their top priority. read more

Very upset. My two kids have been going to Castle Rock Peds for several years. My son had his well-check two weeks prior when I called the office to request a refill prescription for a topical cream he needs seldom for eczema flare-ups. We were visiting family in Ohio so requested to have it called in there. The receptionist/doctor told me since his well-check was with Anna, I would have to wait two days for her to call in the prescription, or that I would need to bring him in for another visit. He has had this condition since birth and I refill this prescription a few times a year. Now I have to take him to urgent care and spend unnecessary money, or make him wait in pain. They always answer my questions. They have a very short wait time in the waiting room. The front desk staff and the nurses and doctors are all wonderful! Do NOT take your children here. The women at the front desk are so short and rude. They were not the least bit nice to my children. I wasn't able to see a Dr. so I had to see the nurse. She was very judgemental with our life choices. We don't want our children consuming flouride and I recieved a long lecture on how my children should be drinking tap water. After looking over my daughter (private parts and all) she began asking my daughter some questions. My daughter naturally turned to me and hid her face. The nurse then expressed concern and wanted me to take a survey. I willingly took it but once I reached the bottom it had dawned on me that this was an autism test. I questioned her motives and her reasoning was because my daughter wasn't talking (i'm sorry she's a shy little girl) and she wasn't making eye contact (which is BS because at one point my daughter was tugging on her shirt to get her attention to show her her toy). I demanded my childrens records and I left...never went back. read more
