I have used them twice in the last 30 days for a UHaul rental. Our first experience, which was during the week, was great. Super helpful and professional. However this past weekend was AWFUL...just AWFUL. The weekend staff was RUDE, UNRESPONSIVE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! What a difference! Sorry but you need to be very careful here. DO NOT accept a half tank on your truck rental here. Debbie told me that 20 miles would be about 4 gallons (yep 5 miles to a gallon). I drive 19 miles and put in 4 gallons in the truck and they charged me another 4 gallons of fuel!!! They are saying the truck took 8 gallons or 2 miles to a gallon. Fuel receipt be damned, I am now waiting 37 min with uhaul to see if they will help. read more

This company will not give partial credit for early move out even during the first week of the month. Upon moving in, they prorate the month. That will indicate they should give partial credit upon moving out early; wrong. The documents upon renting a unit states 10 days notice; that's fine, but even with that said, Castle Rock Self Storage requires full prepaid month payment every month with no refund after payment. What? When the renter wants to move out early, NO refund will be given for the remainder of the month. The owners are not will to work with the renter upon acquiring even a partial credit. Rude and not customer oriented: Stay away. How else will the renter regain partial credit? None: they are liars. I will recommend to finding another storage company unit unless you plan on moving out right at the end of the month. read more

Had a reservation for a truck and the morning to pick up the truck nothing was available!! Uhaul doesn't guarantee a rental!! This would of never happened with the previous managers! We will never try to rent with Uhaul again!! Penske guarantees their trucks!! Uhaul is horrible!! read more

This place has been a life saver. The gentleman who own/works there walked me around showing the different size storage units. As well as explained their policies. He's forth right and honest. It's been easy calling them at the beginning of each month and letting them know they can withdraw their $$. Anyways thanks for storing my stuff!! read more

Same problem as others here: they don't pro-rate. Bummer. I moved out the first week, and they charge for the full month.

Disregard the old reviews. The owners are great, and will do whatever they can, within their power to accommodate your needs. Make sure you know the contract, just as any other contract, so you are not disappointed if you are charged. The rules are the same at every storage place, but the customer service at Castle Rock Self Storage was so much better. ( BONUS- they have Uhaul rental available there also.) read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The woman in the front is far from professional. My daughter has rented here since the previous owners, who were wonderful. Now, prices have gone up, the woman is unhelpful and condescending. The list goes on and on. My daughter travels so I have gone in to pay the last two payments. But, this weekend I was helping my daughter move out. I went back on Sunday for the last four items but could not remember the exact storage unit number. I ended up being off by 2 numbers. I knew the last four numbers of my daughters code so I went in to get the actual storage unit number from the woman. My daughter was at that moment on a plane heading to Atlanta and could not be reached. . As my husband waited at the gate, I waited for her to get off a long phone call. Finally, I told her my issue. My brother had traveled from Thornton to take the remaining items. She smirked and simply told me she would not give me the unit number. I guessed but guessed 534 instead of 532. Nope! No way was she budging. I told her that I had been in to make the last two months payments and surely she recognized me. Nothing but a flat NO! I told her I would just stay and punch numbers in the key pad until I got it right. It didn't take me long since I knew I was close. We got in, retrieved the last items and left.
