We had a horrible problem, and Castle Tree Art did an absolutely fantastic job solving it. Our front yard has a ~30-year-old oak tree planted about 7-10 feet from the street, and the tree has sent its roots EVERYWHERE over the years. The asphalt in front of our house was buckling up, and the potholes were getting larger and larger with each passing month. The streets in our development are owned by the HOA (not the city), and the HOA holds homeowners responsible for all tree damage to common areas (sidewalks, etc), so it was up to me to get the problem fixed. Every asphalt company I contacted didn't want the job -- they like to replace entire parking lots, not repair small portions of a street -- so I had struck out several times before finding this company on Google. I am so [darn] glad I did. ;-) The company owner and 2-3 other workers trenched out the roots adjoining the street, refilled the resulting gap, then dug out and replaced the damaged asphalt. I've attached before/after pictures to this review, but I couldn't be happier with the results. If you have a hard-to-solve tree root problem (tree roots AND asphalt, etc), definitely consider calling this company. I'd hire them again without hesitation. read more

I was looking for a Tree Service that was going to remove three agave plants and one mango tree. After getting a few quotes Castle Tree Art offered me the best service at the best price. I had a large stand of giant birds of paradise plants behind my very large lanai. Mixed in with the birds of paradise are several other plantings. This garden has been growing for more than 30 years with very little pruning. When Dave came out to give us an estimate to clean it up, he called what he saw a "hot mess". We contracted with Castle Tree Art to remove the very tall birds of paradise- there were about 40 very tall (20 - 30 feet) "trunks" that needed removing. Santos and his crew did a fantastic job of taking them out in a rather narrow space behind my lanai and in front of a retaining wall without any damage to our screening or lanai structure or to any of my other plants. They were a pleasure to watch. It was actually entertaining. These guys really know their craft. They arrived exactly on time and did not waste any time doing the job and removing all yard waste before leaving. They even took a blower and blew leaves that had collected on top of the lanai screens, which we did not ask them to do. Castle Tree Art is my new go to tree service company. I live in Southwest Ranches and have quite a bit of trees that need semi-annual or annual maintenance on my property. I used to go to another company regularly but they have been so busy that they have not been able to come out despite me talking to them 4 times. So, in a bind to clean up the trees before the holidays I decided to give Castle Tree art a try based on the reviews. I left a message on Yelp and David responded very quickly. I spoke to him on the phone and he came over 2 days later and provided a very fair quote which was comparable to my old company. He and his crew came back the next week and did an amazing job. We have 2 huge canary island date palms and their guys knew exactly how to trim and sculpt them. They removed a good 4 feet of material from the bark and pineappled the base. They look great. They also removed a bunch of big coconut clusters from our other trees and were very careful not to damage anything. They roped down the largest clusters slowly - only trust companies that do this to prevent gutter and roof damage. They also took video from the top of my coconut palms showing some decay which would eventually kill the tree and perhaps be dangerous to people below. I would have never known if they did not take the time to show me. Overall these guys are great. Very fair pricing and amazing work. They cleaned up the whole yard and even used our net to clean the pool after. I will definitely be calling Dave the next time I need service. He is a great guy and provided some great tips on future maintenance. They are a local company and it always good to support local businesses. read more

UPDATE 2/26/24: ONE more 5-star review for Castle Tree Art! I had to return to give them a HIGH-FIVE on a major landscape project they completed for us last week. We had 3 enormous Royal Palms in our front yard. Not only did they look like humongous freeway overpass pillars from any angle looking out the entrance, but they were all in various stages of rot from years of overwatering. I'd gotten an assessment on the health of these trees last fall, and could only bear facing their ultimate removal after several months of procrastination. We had a major landscape issue here, and what we needed was an experienced diagnosis, competent plan of action, and professional results. Castle Tree Art's crew delivered on all counts. From concept to preparation to completion, Castle Tree Art worked closely with us every step of the way. They sourced a magnificent, county-approved replacement palm for our 3 sick Royals, cleared out a tangled mess in our center island, and got to work removing the huge Royals without incident. It was a major undertaking to take down 3 trees that stood a good 40' tall. Even more amazing, Castle Tree Art unloaded an exquisite Mejool Date Palm to plant in our center island. With the greatest of care, that tree was "limbo-ed" under the power wires and slowly eased into its final location in our front yard. It took an incredible level of skill, patience, teamwork and cojones to do this delicate operation just right. I was also impressed with the team's ability to deal with problems and issues on-the-fly. Extra materials and equipment were brought in to ensure the safety of everyone as well as the final outcome. Before wrapping things up, the crew toiled long hours to fill in the giant holes, ensure that irrigation would be adequate, and left the premises spotless. The tree was secured with braces, and even with its fronds tied up for the coming month, neighbors and friends have already commented on its beauty, and the palpable improvement in our front yard, where clutter was replaced with a single focal point. Castle Tree Art delivered on schedule and budget for the biggest landscape project we've ever undertaken. I have found a landscape beautification company that I actually look forward to working with on future projects at our home. I had a large mango tree close to my house which had grown over the house and it was in bad shape. It had to be taken down before it got any worse and fell on the house. After much research, I came to the conclusion that I needed to call David from Castle Tree Art. And he was easy to get in touch with. He came out to my house and assessed the situation. The process with them was seamless from the first phone call to the job being completed. I called them regarding the removal of a 35 foot mahogany tree that was dying. The tree was right next to my roof so I had to ensure that I was hiring a company that would ensure they do not damage my roof. Luckily from the first conversation I could tell that this was a very professional company. Not only was the tree taken down in a manner where there was zero damage to my property; the crew also did all the things that make a company stand out. I had shrubs/ plants surrounding that tree and not one was damaged. Furthermore, all the sawdust/debris was cleaned up so meticulously that you couldn't tell that a massive tree was just cut down. My parents just used this group for tree removal in Davie and they are the best. You call the office and ask for Dave. If he isn't there they tell you he will call you back before 5 the same day, and he actually does!! He comes to your house to discuss the project and options for any landscaping you want. Discusses what will be required for any Homeowners Association or local City or Town and provides the information they will require for permits. In my parents' case, remove 60 ft. tree and trim others. He and his crew showed up on time with all equipment. These guys really hustle. Not even the rain stopped them. They worked right through it! We had a huge Bischofia in our very small backyard that had been planted way too close to our home by a previous owner. After considering options we decided to have the tree removed and proceeded to get over 8 quotes. Needless to say, I spoke to many people and received quite the array of prices to get the job done. I had a huge mahogany branch come down on my guest house roof...my landscaper gave me a flyer for these guys, so i called them. David and Matt came out within an hour to assess and made some great suggestions for some other work i needed (10 years living here and never had major tree sculpting done!). Matt called a few days later to schedule work on Saturday...there was a good sized crew that arrived late morning and worked into the mid-late afternoon. They not only got rid of the huge branch, but also trimmed the 2 mahogany trees to prevent a further issue. They also trimmed every palm and tree in the yard, as well as took down and ground the stump of a palm near the house that was not safe, and a dying tree by the pool to save me from further problems. The guys were polite, efficient, and as others have mentioned they cleaned up and hauled away all the debris...and the price certainly seemed reasonable for the 4-5 hours their guys and equipment were on my property.
