Back to Whirlyball this time for a private event I worked with their team to organize the event and…read morethey did a good job putting the program together we started downstairs with renting a court and a few bowling lanes. We also added some large games to our space as well. We then made it upstairs for our dinner program and the buffet was amazing! Delicious and tenor serving they have a very nice event space upstairs. The staff were very nice. Two notes would just be that they had our program run on a court back to back with another group so it was ackward since we needed all those large games set up, had preset beverages and appetizers. Plus a full check in table. The other court was empty so I'm not certain why we weren't just in the other space. Then they also only had the front bar open in the first hour versus the one right at the courts and bowling where we were and other guests enjoying their time. In the case of our group it also left us separated into two since as they waited for drinks then they just became comfortable in the front bar talking. They did open the upstairs bar once we moved up there. I would book an event here again I would just make sure to clearly note some of those details and/or even book the court an extra hour to ensure no crossover even though I was able to set up 15 minutes before our event start. I went tonight with a friend, and we had an absolute blast! The vibes inside give 80s nostalgia means a seaside shack, and I'm IN LOVE with it. For two of us to play mini golf, it was $22, which is reasonable for the area & 18 holes. The course is not the most accessible with some rocks and steps along the paths, but it's a fun course to play regardless! There were misting stations across the playing path, which is nice for the summertime. As we were getting ready to leave, we saw a flyer mentioning music bingo on Thursdays at 7pm. We stuck around for the few minutes until 7, and I'm so glad we did. It was so fun. For $1, you get three rounds or more of bingo, depending on length of game play. Our rounds tonight were 80s hits, songs from movies, and bar classics. The emcee was amazing and friendly. I got a Carbliss from the bar, and my friend got a non-alcoholic frozen drink called the Mangonada. We were both cackling at the headers in the menu. Calling wine "Mom Juice" is extremely hilarious and adds so much character to this place. The bartender was kind and knowledgable too. If you want to test your luck, you can pay to spin the wheel of shots. Forewarning: malort has its own spot on the wheel. There's also arcade games and batting cages here. It came with plenty of fries that are sadly way too salty. I'd order it again but next time ask for less salt if possible. They were out of the veggie burger option which shows as Impossible online, bummer. Another friend tried their blackened mahi mahi with dirty rice and liked it but thought the portion was small for the $14 price. I wouldn't say it was a Mardi Gras party because they didn't offer us beads and the decor was minimal for the event but that's okay. One thing I would suggest is a lower price tier for ages 5 and under, as several holes are simply not doable for little kids, like the Mario rainbow wall. There are also only 15 holes versus the standard 18, and several rely on hitting up a ramp/tube with no indicator of where it'll go, so it's more luck based than skill. At the end there's a game to win a free game, which is easy enough with some patience. The pinball machine hole was my favorite design. It was nice at first becuase there weren't too many people, but then they seemed to just stop caring that most of the people skating were not 18. And the music was not 90s 00s. If I wanted to skate with children and listen to rap I would have come to a normal session. I will politely decline from coming to another adult skate unfortunately.
