However, you could tell he was trying and hustling to get things out. The place felt warm and balmy and it just doesn't seem worth the prices they have to hang out here for more than an hour or two. The windows let in lots of natural light so it's not a dungeon feel. I think the table in back was enjoying playing gin because they kept shuffling a deck of cards. It's clearly a neighborhood hang out where everyone knows each other like most all bars and I'm the outsider because I'm always stopping at new places because it's who I am. Their location, situated at the end of the strip, made finding parking a breeze. The staff was helpful in the selection process and came back to the table to ensure everyone was enjoying it. Even after we settled on a Boudreaux Blanc, the staff, hearing I wasn't the biggest fan of whites, came back to offer me a sample of a red he thought I may enjoy. He was 100% right. They have ample outdoor seating which we utilized this evening. Luckily this evening, the villages 4th of July festivities were also happening so we had some live music to enjoy as well. Finally, while they put together a tasty charcuterie board themselves, they also team up with other village establishments to offer more food options that can be delivered right to your table at Vintage 38. Tonight we needed something a little more so went with a pizza. It's a great option to enjoy a perfect evening in the Greendale village.

As a new person I must say that I talked to Brian and the bar tender for an hour and a half so the place was welcoming and not clicky like some bars. There was only one person working, taking orders, handling payment, and making drinks. Because of that, it took a while to place my order. That said, the person doing all the work was super friendly and helpful, and took the time to make the drink properly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxing, with lots of big windows and natural light. There are several different seating areas with various table and chair configurations. There is counter seating, high tops, and overstuffed leather chairs. It was a cold day, but the space was very comfortable inside. Everyone was having quiet conversations and being respectful of the environment. Overall, a nice visit. It would benefit from a bit more staffing to speed things up, and ceramic cups for hot drinks would be a great addition.
