My sister and her friends went to celebrate a friends birthday. They were accused of dining and dashing. All of their food was thrown away. They were being kicked out due to being heavily discriminated. Their security and servers were rudely laughing, mocking, and having bad attitudes towards teenagers. These kids have never been in trouble. They were making purchases. These are not the type of kids that go around start fights and causing trouble. Some kids had game cards they couldn't even finish. The manager was no help. I was told one of the servers threatened the kids. I tried calling and no one answered. Another parent was hung up on. I hope corporate sees this and give a better training to their staff. I also hope they can find a better manager that can respect their customers better. We will no longer return to any Dave and busters. Which is unfortunate because this was one of my favorite places to go. read more

I bring my kids here occasionally because they love it. Today I thought I'd sit at the bar and order a drink and an appetizer while they play. I ordered a glass of Cava. Their only sparkling wine. The bartender didn't know what it was, after looking for it he came back and asked if I wanted Cabernet... I explained Cava is a white sparkling. I saw him looking more and then he came to confirm the bottle with me. ( the bottle has a liquor pour spout in it, when he finally poured it he poured through that. ) He did not pour me a glass and left the bar 2x's on the second time he said he needed to know how to ring it in. Still not poured and asked me to pay for it. I said I plan to order food. Ok, that will be $$.$$ ok, I guess I'll close out. (I only tipped $3.00 . Why ?! Because I still don't have my drink. You're making me pay before I have anything even though I'm sitting at the bar. I'm a server . I have never tipped less than 20% but if you're going to treat me like I'm at a fast food place then I don't feel inclined to to tip. ) I had my nachos for over 10 min before he checked on me. Here is the thing. Most of this is a training issues which is why I won't say his name. However, even if you don't know how to do something, find something, make something having a little personality and explain what's happening to the customer. If he would have said I don't know what that is or I'm new I would have gladly helped him. It is 3pm on a Friday. It's dead in here and there was only one other couple at the bar. Review on the food... last time I was here I got a cauliflower dish and it was awesome. ( service was also not great that day but not as bad as today) today I ordered the nachos. Trying to keep it easy. Came out so cold . Cheese seized up. Jalapeños and tomato's very dry looking. Guacamole on top literally brown. Lettuce wilted and soggy on top . (No the bartender did not run the food) he did finally ask if the nachos were ok and I was like no they are not great. He walked away. Then came back a few minutes later and asked if I wanted a box. I saw on the news recently that this place completed some renovations and improved the menu and food. I took my sister here yesterday, and I can confirm the improvements of the space and the food. The dining room has two massive TV's and the bar area is surrounded by TV's, so there is a serious sports bar vibe. My sister enjoyed her smashburger sliders, and I really enjoyed the Crispy Chicken sandwich with honey mango mustard! The fries were really good, too. The game room is the game room. I thought it was good before, and I still think it's good. I will add the my interactions with staff to get a receipt reprinted for the gaming and food deal, getting order placed, reporting a game that wasn't working, and redeeming point in the prize shop were all very positive. This location had the worst service I've ever experienced. Not only was the bar untended for most of the 4 hours I was there, but when it was tended, it was tended poorly. The dude handed me an old fashioned and said, "I accidentally put Coke in this. Is that okay?" I said, "What we're trying to put in there?" My family and I chose Dave & Buster's for my dad's birthday dinner, and it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Our server (pink hair and bedazzled Playboy leggings) was inattentive from the second we sat down. Our first round of drinks sat at the bar for over 20 minutes while we waited for her to bring them to our table. We could literally see them sitting there. Eventually, we had to ask the bartender if we could just grab them ourselves because nobody was bringing them over. During that same time, we still hadn't been able to order an appetizer or any food. Things only continued to get worse from there. After taking our order, our server essentially disappeared. She never checked back on us, never brought any of our food herself, and when we asked for dipping sauces, she said she would get them and never returned. Our second round of drinks didn't arrive until after we had already finished eating, meaning we had nothing to drink during our meal, not even water, which was ALSO never brought to the table. When we asked for boxes, she dissapeared again for more than 25 minutes. At that point, we asked to speak with a manager. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I was absolutely shocked by how poorly the situation was handled. The manager removed a few dirty plates, said he would send the server over, and then walked away. No apology. No attempt to resolve the situation. No offer to comp a drink, appetizer, or anything else. No boxes. No bill. Nothing. We still didn't see our server after speaking with the manager and eventually had to go find her ourselves to ask yet again for boxes and the check. When she finally returned, she claimed the restaurant was packed with "three million people." Looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables. There was a manager, bartender, multiple servers, and bussers on the floor. Her excuse just didn't make sense, especially to someone who is a server themselves. I understand that restaurants get busy. I've worked in the industry long enough to know that sometimes things happen and service can fall behind. Had that been the case, I would have been understanding. But this wasn't a busy restaurant struggling through a rush. This was a complete lack of attention, communication, and accountability from both the server and management. What should have been a special birthday dinner for my dad turned into an extremely frustrating experience for everyone at the table. We spent more time waiting for basic service than enjoying our meal. The most disappointing part wasn't the terrible service, it was the complete lack of concern from management. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I really did feel the need to warn others before visiting. read more

We had a reservation through OpenTable but they said I wasn't on the list. I showed my email confirmation, but they said you aren't on the list. We were 15 mins early so we prepared to wait anyways and we were told 20-25 minute wait. 40ish minutes I went up the host to ask about the wait time and he sat me (so I wonder how long we would have waited if I didn't say anything). We were helped fairly quickly and food came fast. Our server Nicole was so sweet and worked hard. The person who delivered our food said zero words and took off immediately. The location is great and easy to get to. The games are fun and place looks overall pretty updated. The place itself is also clean. One great side note is that they have high top high chairs for kids so if they offer a table there you can take it even with a kiddo. The only reason I'm giving the place three stars is cause the service was quick and kind and the games were fun. The food was pretty horrible so I wouldn't come back for that. I got the birria quesadilla appetizer as my meal and it was practically cold with hardly any meat or cheese and it came with a tiny side of guac. Definitely not worth it. A friend and I were recently there on NYE. They only had 2 servers and had an employee at the bar who wasn't a bartender but she was very nice. You could tell they were short staffed so we don't hold any mistakes against them, they were doing the best they could. The manager was very nice and even gave my friend and other guests some drinks (Long Island ice teas and they were delicious) on the house. I had boneless wings, and the creamy chicken pasta, both tastes how you'd expect and were good but maybe a bit overpriced for my liking. My friend tried the flatbread pizza and it was actually really good. The games were nice they have a good selection of games. But once it hit 11:55pm the games shut off because they usually close at 12am but this day they were closing at 1am. We talked to a staff member and they said that the games would reboot in 5 minutes, 5 minutes passed and the games still said the store was closed. 10 minutes and the same. We were ready to call it a night anyways so we just left and so did all the other guests waiting for the game to reboot. Wish we could've continued playing but hey things happen sometimes that we have no control over. read more

They also said we can come back and forth to our table and leave our things and that's what we had done, yet 20 minutes later the table was empty and our things we had purchased were thrown away. The food was ok, the service was terrible, and the games were fun. We had a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. We first ran into a problem when we tried to convert our old Dave and Buster game cards to their new ones. They couldn't seat us until this was done because "the manager wouldn't be able to find us" in their restaurant. OK, then they seated us after about 15 mins of standing around waiting for the manager. The manager found us at our table (suprise) and fixed the cards. OK, so far not bad. Next, we ordered drinks and food and game passes. We ate and then when to play games. Before we left to play games, one adult ordered a shot and beer (his bday) expecting it to be left at the table. I also ordered a refill on my soda. In the 90 mins of game time (we bought the unlimited 90 mins game pass), the drinks never got to the table. My friend talked to a "general manager" who said they would take care of it. Never did. Drinks never came. When we were leaving, my friend asked to talk to the general manager who we were told left for the night. He explained his issue with the forgotten drinks to the new manager. The new manager went in back and the general manager (who had supposedly left for the night) came back out and said they had brought the drinks and was very rude. We were all there and the drinks weren't. Nor were there any empty glasses from consumed drinks. So much for the customer is always right. Not like we hadn't spent over $100 for my family much less the rest of the group. I will not be back. I can play games anywhere; food is better in most restaurants, and I can get terrible service everywhere. read more

The biggest smoke show in city. Having been to a Chicago location years ago and banning the restaurant from my rotation for life, I reluctantly joined friends for a birthday celebration. Upon arrival with an empty dining room not even a fourth of the way full we were told there was a 50 to 60 minute wait. Annoyed we just moved to the bar area and found our own table. Kids played games while I tried some pretzel dogs and threw down a couple drinks. After an hour they said we could sit in the dining room. Received terrible service from a young waiter who was so stoned he couldn't handle simple things like taking your order correctly. I won't even mention what we ate cause it all sucked. It took over 45 minutes to get cold food. Just an all out shitty experience. Don't eat here. If you must go here play some games drink a beer or 2 and find a more enjoyable setting. read more

I brought my brother, his wife and 2 kid's for the first time, Saturday March 22nd for my birthday. The best part was bonding with my brother's family while playing the games. Maybe it was because we were all getting high. In 1 part of the building, it smelled strong of weed. We got our table after about 45 minutes, which was fine because we were playing games. The waitress knew it was my birthday, so she seemed extra nice. My brother, his wife and I ordered 3 specialty drinks. His wife got her's, but we never got our drinks until after our food came. A manager brought our 2 drinks as the food came and she told us the drinks were free. There wasn't any alcohol in them. My brother and niece ordered meals that came with small salads. The tomatoes were mush, and the lettuce was wilted and old. Finally, our waitress showed up and brought me a piece of cake, and sang to me. This experience was actually supposed to be a 2 star. It took so very long to get the attention of someone in service. This was my first time ever coming here and the staff was beyond slow. It was about 20 minutes to gets beverages and longer to get a menu! I had a very hunger/tired 4 year old and a starving daughter that had to go to work as well as myself that were hungry. We placed our appetizer order and that also took long; we placed food order at the same time as the shrimp/cheese dip. The dip had good flavor but portion is too small for all the fried wontons and price. My daughters salmon was overcooked but she doesn't Yelp/Google. My chicken pasta dish was good in flavor but like my daughters salmon, my chicken was dry as well. Getting service was difficult throughout. I had to get beverage refills at the bar and waited about 10+more minutes and the female bartender was by far from pleasant as one could be, even made bad drinks( long island ice tea and some drink my daughter had with flavored ice cubes. ) Then the games weren't giving tickets on card, machines were broke and the photo booth ate our photos. I find it strange to serve food at high end dining costs and to have poorly cooked high price with small portions. And to wait so long for poor service just to wrap it up is just plain wrong! I tried to make the best of this time because i won't be seeing my family for quite awhile after the 29th of this month as I'm leaving state. All this and my daughter was also late for work. This place needs a serious management overhaul. I feel bad for whoever owns this place because they have to be loosing money hand over fist. We waited an hour to be seated after we were told. 25 min. I had to get up and get my server every time. Food took an hour to come to the table. Drinks weren't refilled. I had to literally tell the server to get our empty plates and cups off the table. If They were busy I wouldn't be writing this. Half the time our server was sitting down and talking amongst other servers and employees. After clearing my tab for I went to the bar and ordered a drink. I literally watched the bar tender make my drink and not put alcohol in it. I just walked out after this. Hopefully the owner or management sees this. Here's my advice from one restaurant owner to another. Get rid of that stupid Mobil ordering system that you have in place. Its making your employees lazy. Fire all your managers. They are loosing you loyal customers. This was by far one of the worst experiences I've had at a long beloved place by my family. Been here a couple of times since it opened. The combination of a restaurant, bar, and gaming is awesome. If you're a sports fan, a great place to watch from. The food has changed a little over time, but still really good. Most recently had the Tomato Feta Soup. What a nice twist on a classic soup. I find bananas a "peel"ing, so I also had the Bananas Foster Pie. It was so creamy and good. Then I needed to work off some of that great food, so went and played some games. While it still sounded very loud, but not very full, the experience and game layout is great. Also they no longer have the individual reward tickets(boo), everything shows up on your game card. I suppose having to count or weigh the tickets got a bit much. Knowing how much you won is a lot faster. The harder part is picking a prize. That still hasn't changed. read more
