PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW: (I gave you a 1 star rating…read morebecause 0 wasn't available.) I was introduced to Brenden ( owner) approximately 6 months ago. He appeared to be a teal stand-up guy. After my kitchen and hall collapsed due to heavy snow, I needed to put together a quick remodel. Brenden came out to my house with samples, and took measurements as requested, I spend three days educating myself on flooring. He also asked me to go to specific warehouses and pick out the flooring from the samples they provided. I did this. While there I asked the salesman two questions. #1. How much is this flooring? #2. Is it possible to pay for the flooring today, so the installer can get started on Wednesday? By 5:30 that same day, Brenden was calling me and speaking in an unfamiliar, screaming voice. He appeared to be infuriated that I had been given the price. I was totally confused. Apparently , he has you pick the flooring out, then up- sells the product by over a dollar a foot. Brenden then called his sales manager, and the two of them overreacted together. He refused to listen, or understand what I had done, which was exactly as requested. Except he didn't want me to know the pricing because of the mark-up. To the tune of about $850 in my case. After about an hour on the phone, he calm down slightly, and allowed me to tell him exactly what I had done. He then said," what can I do to get you to remove your one star rating?" It's simple I said," just complete the job as promised." After much going back-and-forth, he determined that this decision would be the best reslove. His decision, not mine. This phone call came in on a Thursday night around 5:30 PM. I tried for approximately three days to try and get payments to him for the flooring, but he wasn't returning my text messages. Eventually, he texted me back, but started making excuses. I felt that I knew what was coming, even though he set the terms and the date. Apparently he was still unhappy about missing out on that extra marked up flooring money. In spite of all my numerous texts and call attempts, he finally texted me back on Tuesday morning at 8 AM. He canceled!! Brandon was aware that I have a rather serious medical condition and time is not on my side. He's left me hanging, starting over with a new company, whenever they may be able to "work with me " is unknown at this time. I fully understand that everyone needs to make a living, to which I'm happy to pay for. I wasn't excepting hidden markups, making promises, you never intend to keep, and lying. It seemed out of character for a guy who presented himself in such a positive manner. No Brandon, I'm not changing my rating back to a five star as requested, based on how you handled this situation. In spite of your pleading and begging! Shame on you, and Rocky Mountain flooring. You got caught, then you got angry. Not a great combination in a world where people are sometimes gullible. I thought you were a real standup guy. Sadly, you're not! Totally disappointed that you left me in this situation, knowing that I was facing a serious health issue. You, and only you set your own terms and deadlines. Apparently, you're all talk!! My intentions here are only to provide facts on this review, no emotions. BUYER BEWARE ...

Canyon Custom had Jake come out and assured us that after it dried out, it could be refinished and good as new. It took over 3 months to get dried out over the summer, Jake checked it a couple of times. By July, he determined it was ready to sand and refinish. It looked good after, for about 3 weeks. Very quickly it started separating and cupping. I contacted them again, they had no ideas as to why it was doing that. Moisture in the wood was measured again and it was still dry. Originally they guaranteed it for a year, pretty standard, but now they won't do anything and won't respond to me My elderly parents are now out thousands of dollars and have a floor that clearly needs to be replaced. I really wish we would have listened to the other flooring guys, these guys SEEMED good until their service failed and they won't stand behind their work.

Heather apologized after an initial communications misstep, but they just dropped the ball too many times. Jake came over to measure the room, but he never sent the estimate like he said he would. I tried calling to find out what was up, but they kept playing phone games and gave the impression of not caring about me or the job. I guess these folks can afford to jerk people around. Yet another business that doesn't want my money. I'm not sure how ghosting potential clients is profitable, but it seems to be going around a lot lately - maybe the ghosters know something I don't, but it really irritates, frustrates, and inconveniences the clients.

We reached out to Wood Man Floors 6 weeks ago to explore installing hardwood floors in our home…read more Karen initially was very friendly and helpful but as we asked further questions about the process and inquired about specifics she became incredibly annoyed and unresponsive. I looked back over her reviews and noticed many are from 3 years ago. I'm not sure what has changed in this business, but the owner had little to no customer service. The few calls I made to the shop she often seems harried and agitated. As a consumer, when you are looking at spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a project, questioning what specific fees are included and exploring flooring style and color options is paramount. We wasted 6 weeks waiting for reply's and trying to get more information. We needed to line up a few different contractors to complete the project in phases. Trying to get Woodman to agree to a timeline was nearly impossible. I tried to explain myself and talk through the project further when Karen hung up on me. Needless to say I was shocked. When a company makes you feel bad for inquiring and exploring options, showing outright irritation and impatience with you, it was definitely a red flag. Also, as we visited Intermountain Hardwood and started exploring wood suppliers in the valley we were surprised at how much more reasonable other's prices were compared to Karen's. For instance, she is charging folks $600 per block tread (for each step) versus others charging $200. Many contractors we spoke to were shocked at the mark up. Karen also, constantly calls you honey and when you question the price of something she keeps you on the line by saying "I'm sure we can work something out honey." Very grating and manipulative to be called "honey" over and over again while trying to conduct business. I would not recommend this wood supplier, their communication skills are deplorable and the product is way overpriced!
