I've been in pain for 2 weeks and decided to try Dr. Castro based on a co-worker's advice. I'm so glad I did. Previously I'd gone to another chiropractor in Garden Grove for about 4 years off and on. Very vague. I came in to check how much would it cost me with my insurance. The lady in the front told me it's from $75 to $300 depends on how the Chiro doctor will evaluate. So the doctor could just charge you $300 for the first visit if he wanted and tell you that you needed that correction. All I wanted is a simple adjustment!!!! Geez. read more

I had gotten into a pretty bad car accident a couple of months before my visit to Castro Chiropractic. I simply googled "Chiropractor near me" And this office was on my search list, Not thinking anything of it...I made my way down to this office. My lower back was in excruciating pain that I could barely walk, but I managed to walk into the right place. I was instantly greeted by Sandy, where she assured me "The ONLY thing you have to worry about now is feeling better!" I teared up as I heard those words because sincerely I was in so much pain that I thought there was no way of fixing me. I had been seeing a Chiropractor in Long Beach, off and on, for the last 5-6 years. I thought he was good, personable, etc. However, recently, I decided that I wanted to try and find a new one for different reasons. I came across Castro Chiropractic through Kaiser Insurance and decided to try them based on the reviews I was seeing as well as being closer to home. Let me just say WOW!!! I thought I knew what a good Chiropractor was, but my previous Chiro has nothing on Castro Chiropractic. Dr. Castro does a FULL consult. He asks questions, checks out everything from head to lower back, range of motion, etc. Then he starts adjusting based on what he now knows about you. He has different techniques/tools, awesome multi-use/adjustable table, he explains everything, doesn't rush through your appt., answers questions, is pleasant to speak with and is very much about his patients. My previous Chiro just has one "style", literally the same adjustment every appt. despite what you may have going on in your neck, shoulders, back, etc. I have found my amazing new Chiropractor with Dr. Castro and would highly recommend him if you are looking for one. I was looking for a new chirp, as my insurance changed where I could go. I was given a personal recommendation from a friend and how great they were. No big signage to see business from the street. I called and left a message on a wed for a return call and never got it. I called back on Friday and made an appt for sat. I was in a lot of pain. When I made my appt, I asked if they could confirm my insurance. She said, oh yeah we take it." When I arrived for my appt, dec 10th. she said they didn't take it and it was 55.00. Now with my insurance it should have been 15.00 copay. They did allow me to pay the 15.00 with a promise to let me know if my insurance situation was squared away by wed. I met the clinician, I told him of my tension in my legs, knees, back and neck. I walk with a limp. Tears in both knees. Apparently I was way out of whack. He did straighten me out. I did not get any relief to my neck (needed dr approval due to strokes). And nothing for my knees. My last chiropractor gave me shock therapy, heat therapy and stretches. Plus cracked me all over. I would walk out feeling like a champ. I was on a mission to get a drs note for neck. Just awaiting a phone call from the office that my insurance was corrected. No call back for return visit. What, did I get healed in one treatment?? For a first time patient. I honestly thought I would get better service. It was not all bad- he did straighten me out. Unlike other chiropractors, Castro makes you feel comfortable and explains to his patients what and how he will be adjusting you. Dr.Castro works wonders let me tell you. He definitely knows what he is doing and makes sure you leave feeling light on your feet and about 8 in taller no kidding. On top of all that he's super attentive to his patients. Upon arrival there is a tablet that requires you to fill out a form stating what hurts and so forth. Soon after the adjustments begin. He can adjust anything from head to toe! Every time it's something knew and he will never do anything without your consent.
