Didn't even wait to be seen by the chiropractor I walked out. This was my first and definitely will not be returning. The receptionist really needs to be retrained on how customer service works. First she didn't greet me which that didn't bother me , what bothered me was when the chiro yelled my name from the back the reception lied telling him I'm not ready and was still filling out paperwork which was a lie. I've used chiropractic care off and on for 30+ years when I "needed it", like after an accident or injury. Similar to how people take vitamin C when they are sick instead of maintaining a diet rich in vitamin C all year long". Finally, I realized that I should be taking care of myself even when it doesn't feel like I "need it". I've been coming to The Joint Downey for 5+ years. The plan that I am on allows four adjustments/month, no appointment necessary, for a price comparable to what I used to pay for a single visit at other chiropractors. For me, that is a good value. Even though chiropractic care is not covered by my insurance, I am able to afford good regular care. I have had good experiences with all of the doctors here. They each use slightly different methods, but I always have good results. I do have my favorite doctors. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Himes are outstanding and their schedule is regular. My new favorite is Dr. Kristina. She seems to have a sports medicine background and uses stretches that really help with my mobility/range of motion issues stemming from an old sports injury. read more
