I wasn't able to go on the planned excursion with Captain Zak, but it's worth mentioning that he was so helpful in planning it and so kind about my need to cancel. When booking and deciding what time to leave he was very flexible and seemed to care only about our enjoyment then any schedule he might have. He was even welcoming about us bringing our 80 lb dog on board. The booking process was incredibly easy, and he made sure to text us the night before to ensure we knew where we were going and exactly what to do. He was so understanding about my canceling due to the weather, even though he said he was perfectly happy to take us out regardless of the rain. (He explained the weather pattern to me). In addition to the rain, my dog wasn't feeling well, so I decided it wouldn't work out that day, and he refunded me immediately and insisted it was no big deal despite my feeling so guilty! Best day of the trip! Zach was amazing and one of the best charter captains I have had the pleasure to spend the day with. Professional, safe and and all around great guy. Zach planned our trip based not only on the weather for the day for the most comfortable ride, he listened to all of our requests regarding comfort, met and surpassed them. The snorkling at Sandy Key Lighthouse was equal to a dive. Incredibly knowledgeable regarding the flora, fauna and history of the Keys. I've renamed Captain Zach "The Dolphin Whisperer" I met some folks in a bar that night and passed his information along as a MUST DO IN KEY WEST! The drive to the marina gives a new perspective to the island. The marina could not have been more perfect. Old school in the best possible way with the right amount of activity. A drink at the marina bar capped off our afternoon. There are few places, if any at all in the states that has the amount of beauty, and Zach knows all about it. Great day on the water! Capt. Zac and Casual Monday Charter can't be beat. My familyand I took a 4 hour sandbar/ snorkel trip and it did not disappoint. We saw plenty of wild including a manate, bonnet sharks and brids. We literally walked up to these small sharks to photograph them. Posed on the swing over the water for some photos before moving on to explore some mangrove channels, eventually Stopping at some ledges in deeper water for some fantastic snorkeling. Plenty of fish and other sea creatures. Capt. Zac is great. He's friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. He knows a lot of sites and local knowledge about the Keys and Key west. He's a great guide! Also, he gets his client's needs and is sensitive to their comfort levels and will adjust to sites that best suit them and will ease them along. He never made us feel rushed or anxious about moving to knew sites. I will use him again, and highly recommend to you! read more

I just can't say enough about Casual Monday Charters! First, Captain Zac is so great!! He not only was an awesome tour guide and very knowledgeable, but we felt so safe with him and with our kiddos on board that meant a lot!! He is fun and has a great personality and easy to talk to and communicate with and we felt like we were all just good friends riding on a boat and not just paying for a tour. BIG PLUS TO US!! Though we have loved coming to Key West the last couple of years, we decided this will probably be our last vacation here because we want to explore more of the upper islands, but with that being said, we will still be driving down to Stock Island to venture out with Captain Zac (hopefully) many more times. Was an amazing time! Captain Zak took us to several keys and sandbars with amazing beaches! We ended up at one of the furthest, most remote beaches in the keys. Sun was shining with crystal blue water and sugar like sand! We were so amazed and impressed! We also had a chance to snorkel. Captain Zak knows the area so well and explains the history and important landmarks in the Florida Keys. His attention to detail and stories from the charters as well as his own personal experiences on sailing for years were unmatched! I'd never recommend anyone else for a private charter in Key West! We are already going back tomorrow and are planning trips with Captain Zak in the future. It was well worth the investment! Just would like to say Thanks to Captain Zak!! I was not sure about going on a boat charter because my wife and three kids have never been on a boat and we are not the best swimmers. I only booked the 4 hour tour but should have booked the 6 hour tour. Our family had to most wonderful time. The kids wanted to stay out all day. Captain Zak made the trip a joy for my family and made us comfortable on the boat and in the water. He brought us to the most amazing places in the keys including seeing mangroves with the clearest water I have ever seen (my favorite), sharks, baracudas and dolphins. We did the 4 hour sandbar charter and brought us to several beautiful and peaceful islands where no one else was per our request. We were hoping to see some dolphins, and he knew exactly the spot where they would be! Truly incredible to watch these beautiful creatures swim so close to the boat. My husband and I took a 3.5 hour boat trip with Capt. Zak on 3/20/24, and we had a wonderful time! Zak is personable, knowledgeable about KW history and the waters around Key West, pleasant and fun to be with. He couldn't be more accommodating. We toured some of the harbor and learned a lot of interesting things. I had wanted to see the Flats, where the water ranged from deep blue to light aqua, and was beautiful. We stopped in the shelter of some mangrove islands to eat the snacks we'd brought, taking in the scenery and talking. By far best experience we have had, memory of a life time. never been to the keys never in a boat in the ocean. this place was referred & it didn't not disappoint. easy to sign up & pay, Meg next day. Zach was super chill full of knowledge and easy going. music was good and took us to exactly what we were looking for, the old movie Blue Lagoon type experience, he NAILED it! waist high of perfectly clear water for miles! didn't know this was in the states at all, island was cool & old swing for pics. could not have asked for more, I took my 17 & 20 yr old, snorkeled swam and laid on the big floating mat. The weather was being uncooperative, but Zak was flexible and was able to move our previously scheduled trip to a different day so the weather would be a bit better. His communication throughout the process was professional, flexible, and kind. The best day possible thanks to Zach! Two adults and four kids having an amazing time in Keys on the boat! We booked full six hours! Zach was very responsive from the first info call to the day of the trip; checking about the weather; what we wanted to experience and see. Our family booked a trip with Zack and Casual Monday Charters on January 28th. Despite the fact a recent storm had brought in colder water to the area and caused poor visibility, Zack made the best of it with taking our family to his favorite spots. This was an absolutely amazing experience. Zak took his time explaining a lot about Key West and some of its history. We learned a lot and are so excited to come back again. He went out of his way to point out some cool things like snails, sharks, birds, etc. We appreciated that it was laid back and fun.
