I have two persian cats and haven't been able to keep up with brushing them regularly. I called around to several places, and for some reason (maybe related to the pandemic?), all of the local groomers were booked up for weeks or months. This service (Pat) was the only one who responded to me and she even had availability later in the week!! I had been bringing my cats to a grooming salon in the past, but if you can afford to pay a little extra, your cats will thank you to have someone come and perform the spa services in the comfort of their (i.e your) own home where there won't be any dogs around. My one cat (Mochi) had a lot of mats and I really didn't want her to have to get a lion cut. I had that done in the past and Mochi was quite upset with me. Upon assessment of her fur, Pat said that she would unfortunately have to give Mochi another lion cut. I was a little sad about it at first, but when I saw the final result, I was very pleased. It is the cutest lion cut ever! Pat did a great job! Mochi looks very regal with her lion mane and the fur on her paws looks like those fur boots that you see rich women wearing around ski resorts. Pat is a true kitty hairdresser! My other cat was able to keep her fur since it wasn't as matted, though her coat was thinned out so it would be more manageable. I will definitely be calling Pat back when my kitties are in need of their next spa treatment! read more

Made an appt with this groomer through Yelp (see attached photo of our messages). Appt was scheduled for Saturday at 11:00. We waited and waited. At 11:45 I called her and left a message. I also sent her a message through Yelp. I explained that we had given our cat a prescribed tranquilizer in anticipation of her coming and to please contact me. NOTHING. It amazes me how Pat is able to calm my cat and get her beautifully groomed/shaved. My kitty Zeva is very timid and scared, and can be quite acrobatic when someone forces her to do something she doesn't want to do, and she freaks out when she gets in a car carrier, so finding a groomer who will come to my house, AND specializes in cats, is a Godsend. Pat has a very professional class act -- she totes her equipment and chair into the bathroom, and except for an occasional meow, all I hear is just Pat talking to Zeva very soothingly, and then boom, she's done. Our 18 year old cat at the time had never had a bath or been groomed. Due to aging and inability to clean herself as well, she developed many knots or matted areas of hair. Using a brush we were able to keep her top coat clean but her belly was a mess. Our cat came through with flying colors when Pat came to the house and worked on her. Okay, I haven't written a Yelp review in an inexcusably long period of time, but the experience I had with Pat Davis of Cat Groomer 602 inspired me. I have what you could describe as a somewhat difficult cat. She is a ball of fun and wonder 99% of the time, except for the 1% of the time I make her do something she doesn't want to, like ride in the car, clip her nails, make her be nice to strangers etc. Usually grooming for my cat isn't even an option because it involves waaaay too many of the things that she doesn't like, and my poor baby is traumatized for days afterwards. Until I met Pat that is. I came across Pat's business Cat Groomer 602 on Yelp actually when I was looking for a new groomer as I have a house guest coming in to town who is not pro-cat, we'll say and I wanted to minimize the unpleasantries for her. Pat is different from every other mobile grooming service because Pat comes INTO YOUR HOUSE to do the grooming. Gone are the days when you even have to drag your cat kicking and screaming down the stairs and out to the van to be groomed. She sets up shop in one of your bathrooms, and in about an hour, your cat is gleaming, soft, smelling amazing and most importantly loose hair free. Pat used all top of the line Furminator products and even brought my cat a little blinged out necklace with her initial on it. Totally above and beyond the call of duty. And last but not least, my cat by some miracle, did not hate Pat. My cat hates just about everyone that isn't me. Let alone someone hosing her down with solution and water? Un-freaking heard of. Her manor is amazing. She did the majority of the grooming with my cat in her lap for crying out loud. She loves cats, has over 30 years of experience, and I could not recommend her any more. Both my kitties had dirty coats, so Pat came to our home and gave them a good cleaning. The matted areas underneath were shaved, and the kitties came out clean as expected. She used the Furminator on both these long haired kitties which was so needed, too. But the real reason we hired Pat is that we wanted this initial experience with bathing to be a gentle and nonfrightening one for both cats--and it seems it was. We will not hesitate to use Pat again. Pat was great with my shy(and a little angry) cat, Mocha. Mocha was extremely matted but Pat had her trimmed and bathed in an hour or so. Mocha looks(and feels) much better. So nice not to have to load her into a kennel and leave her at a vet, where I don't know what's happening or how Mocha is doing. Pat was very professional and I really appreciated having her come to my house to groom my cat. My kitty hates me to brush her and had developed hairballs on her hind legs.
