One of our girls needed a cut and we only knew we wanted her cut short and wanted to keep her ears and tail a bit fluffy. Jackie nailed it!!! Next time we're going to make an appointment for our sphynx, Pelon. Jackie has a sphynx herself so she's familiar with how they (well, their ears and nails) can get between baths. We've used Jackie for the last 8 years to groom our cats. We never had a problem, Jackie was excellent, the cats were always well groomed. Jackie retired and her daughter is now doing the grooming. We had our two cats groomed yesterday. We went to pick up the first one and his foot was all bandaged. She said he was bleeding a lot and had an infection and a terrible odor coming from it. I thought it strange as I never noticed anything wrong. When I brought him into the house, I also noticed three cuts on his stomach. We were not notified that she cut his skin. I made an appt. with the vet yesterday afternoon and the dr. said it was a small skin tag that was cut on his paw and there was not an infection and not an odor. He was treated and given an antibiotic shot to be cautious. Last night I noticed our second cat had a big cut on his leg. We weren't told anything happened to him when we picked him up. I bandaged it up and took him to the vet today. They had to close the wound and also give him an antibiotic shot. I spoke to Jackie and let her know what happened. She said her daughter did nothing wrong, never apologized and refuses to accept any blame. She further insisted that we pay the full price for the service without any consideration. So far, the incident has cost us well over $500 not to mention the trauma. read more

After reading the reviews on Yelp and looking over the Happy Tails website, I decided to give them a try. I communicated via email with Teresa after filling out their New Client Application on their website. Teresa was quick to respond initially and every time after that as I kept thinking of more questions to ask. I was really impressed with their website and the level of detail it provided. I was also impressed with how responsive Teresa was. I asked who our groomer would be and Teresa said her name was Deanne. I didn't see any Yelp reviews about Deanne and didn't see a bio on their webpage about her. That worried me a bit because, like all dog moms and dads, you want the best for your babies. So, I asked Teresa if she could tell me a bit about Deanne and her grooming background. Teresa not only told me in her own words about Deanne but also included a write up that Deanne drafted about herself and sent a picture of her so we'd know what she looked like. They give you a two hour window for your appointment time and I asked if she could please have Deanne call us when she was on her way to our house so we could have our two dogs ready to go. Deanne called when she was on her way. I was shocked because nowadays it seems to be really rare to have someone pay attention to those small but important details. Deanne was kind to my husband and I and our dogs and they looked wonderful when they were done. Just FYI, although Deanne began with Happy Tails in December 2018, she has been grooming since 1994. Needless to say, we were thrilled with Happy Tails from beginning to end and will be on a regular schedule with Deanne going forward. read more

Beware Happy Tails Mobile Groomer! My Chihuahua does not like getting her nails trimmed so we decided to call Happy Tails mobile grooming service. I carried my pup to the van and put her in. "Jackie" picked her up and put her on the table, as I shut the door. I hear my dog barking and crying, but my husband assured me that she knew was she was doing, and our dog was resisting. After about 15 minutes, Jackie opened the van door and yelled out for me. I went to the van to see my dog terrified, shaking on the table, none of her nails trimmed. Then she pointed out my dogs eye. All she told me was that my dog panicked and that she had never seen anything like this before. She said she tried to put a towel over her head. I immediately took her to the vet after I took one look at her eye. The vet said she was possibly resisting and strangled herself, but with the bruised ribs, she feels my dog waa mistreated. They perscribed her eye drops, prednisone and tramadol. I have since tried to call Happy Tails, but they will not answer my call. I feel if they were innocent, they would be concerned and would return my call. I dont know the story, I was not in there, but they won't answer my call so what am I supposed to believe? She scheduled the flights and arranged for pickup from the boarding house. She took care of all of the fees and payments, so it reduced the number of calls during my travels. On the day of my pets travel, Bridget was providing updates throughout the day. The first email came in at 8:53AM MST and she followed through all day until 8:13PM.
