I really like bringing her here, and the location is very convenient for us. Recently, however, I started receiving several emails asking me to complete forms for appointments for other dogs. Since these clearly were not related to Flor, I called today to let the staff know about the issue so it could be corrected. I believe the person I spoke with was named Casey. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled was extremely frustrating. While I was trying to explain the issue, she repeatedly interrupted me and said they were transitioning to AI text messages and that they were having problems with the system. I tried to explain that my concern was specifically about receiving forms and emails for other dogs, but she continued talking over me and did not allow me to finish explaining. When I told her that she was interrupting me and not letting me explain the situation, she simply told me to send an email about it. I explained that I did not have time to send an email and was calling because I was trying to resolve the issue directly. Again, she interrupted me and said she did not know what to do about that. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. She told me that she was the manager. I asked her to confirm her name again, and she responded, "No." I then asked if I could speak with someone else or the owner, and she hung up on me. I honestly don't know how to handle this because I really do like bringing Flor here and have been happy with the grooming services. Unfortunately, the way I was treated during this phone call was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was simply trying to bring an issue to their attention so it could be resolved, and I expected to at least be given the opportunity to explain what was happening. I hope management sees this and addresses the situation, because I would really like to continue bringing Flor here. I just don't feel that customers should be treated this way when they are trying to communicate a legitimate concern.

They have corrected the issues with their front desk folks. They're reasonable, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and can squeeze you in same day for a nominal up charge if your issue is urgent (or if you just think it is as I sometimes do ). We have been taking our dogs and cats here since May of 2017 when we moved to the area. I think the care provided is trustworthy. I have no doubts about the competency of the veterinarians and no complaints about pricing. That being said, I have yet to feel any real loyalty to this facility. The front desk staff is quite slow and often a bit cranky. They have yet to integrate our pets' records from their prior veterinarian into their system (so I have to call and verify if vaccines are current -- at which point there are long delays while paper files are consulted - why are there paper files? Shouldn't these records all be digitized?). Any appointments for routine services end up taking at least an hour; lots of waiting. It's like going to a medical doctor's office. I understand that triaging must take place, and I don't begrudge pets in dire situations being seen with a higher priority than those who are receiving only vaccine administration, but at the same time, I do think there is room for improvement. I can't understand why it would be appropriate for me to wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes to pick up a prescription, especially when I called ahead for it so it was already packaged with our name on it

The facility is clean, and the staff were consistently lovely, kind, and caring toward both me and my dogs while we were there. Unfortunately, once you leave the office, it feels like you are out of sight and out of mind. Be prepared to repeatedly follow up just to obtain an electronic copy of your itemized bill, the complete results of diagnostic tests, and--perhaps most importantly--guidance about what those results mean and what you should do to help your pet. I was also surprised that the veterinary team did not appear to review my dogs' charts before subsequent appointments to re-familiarize themselves with their medical history, conditions, or previous test results. There was also a lack of urgency when it came to basic follow-through, such as locating the appropriate tools to accurately re-measure a growth. And despite signing multiple forms acknowledging a quoted range of costs, I was still presented with an additional, unexpected charge when it was time to check out. But the biggest issue for me is the lack of follow-up and follow-through. No amount of affected kindness can make up for that. Even after I expressed my concerns, spoke with TWO DIFFERENT MANAGERS, and made a genuine good-faith effort to start fresh, the same pattern continued. After my dog underwent another expensive diagnostic test, I received no call to check on my pet and no communication of the results--even though those results had apparently been available for TWO FULL DAYS before I finally called to ask about them myself. That should not be the responsibility of a pet owner. When you entrust someone with the care of a beloved animal, you should be able to expect thoroughness, communication, continuity of care, and follow-through--not have to repeatedly chase the veterinary office for information that should have been proactively provided. Unfortunately, this experience has reinforced my growing concern about the impact of corporate and private-equity ownership on veterinary medicine. Thankfully I have found an independent practices where the veterinarian truly gets to know her patients, takes the time to review their history, personally discusses test results with you, explains what they mean, and offers thoughtful recommendations and education. They are rare but they DO STILL EXIST.
