We were charged for audiovisual services that were not functional when our seminar began. Staff onsite were unable to operate the equipment and acknowledged they were not trained. We had to bring in outside equipment at our own expense to keep the event going. The hotel later refunded the AV charge, but refused to cover the additional cost we incurred due to their failure. Even more concerning was the behavior of the Catering Manager, who was confrontational and unprofessional in front of guests and staff. This included a heated exchange that was visible to attendees and others present, including representatives from a nonprofit organization we were supporting. That level of conduct is not what you expect when hosting a professional event. This property has a lot of potential, but based on this experience, I would be very cautious about hosting an event here without clear assurances around on-site management.

This hotel is near the freeway, it's also across the street from a Burger King and a 7-Eleven. Across the parking lot is a cold, stone creamery, and a Mexican restaurant. This hotel also offers a breakfast which I wasn't too much of a fan of, but it is included in the price and the room I will say was very nice. Overall I had no complaints. If you're ever in the area and you need somewhere nice to lay your head give this place a try!!

The free hotel breakfast was a little bit "fancier" than I am used to, they used actual plates (not paper) and you had to sit down there to eat instead of having the option of bringing it into your room. I loved the fruits they had, rarely do I see watermelon at a hotel breakfast :) The only reason I took off a star is because the Wi-Fi was down for at least a few hours when we stayed. I was a bit confused why they didn't tell us that information when we checked in, we had to ask later on and they told us it was a known outage and they were working on it? However, I know that is probably a rare occurrence, so even with that experience, I definitely would stay the night here again!

Breakfast was very satisfactory for our in-laws. The usual free breakfast IHG provides. These were the satisfactory attributes of the hotel. The unsatisfactory attributes of the hotel: You can see signs of the original VOQ building despite renovations done to make it a hotel. There was a stained crack wall area by the hotel room. One of the elevator doors was out of order. The hotel room was so so yet looked satisfactory. No problems. Overall, we were not highly satisfied with this hotel. Bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows were meh. Breakfast was somewhat lackluster with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. They were dry. Location is very close to I-95. There is a gas station and supermarket all less than .5 mile away. This is a solid one night along the road but you wouldn't spend multiple nights here as a getaway. I'd stay here again if needed.
