The front desk had a sign saying they were assisting other guests, but no one ever returned. No updates, no communication, and no accountability. The best quality of this hotel was Breanya at the front desk. She was professional and very friendly. there was dried vomit in the ice bucket, broken tv remote, filthy refrigerator, seriously loud air conditioner and exhaust vent in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable (and clean) as was the bathroom. Bleach stains in the hallway in a number of spots. and if you need to get late night (or any time) food from the shop you'll starve. Very, very disappointing for a Marriott. I stayed here and paid a lot more than the hotels in the area thinking we'd be better off when we went to a graduation at Quantico. A good team of employees who went beyond the norm to assist our crew during the one night stay. Extra accommodation was kindly provided to us the next morning as the staff held all 22 pieces of luggage while we were out on location. The lobby/lounge areas provides ample space to watch TV, socialize, work & enjoy the vast food & drink offerings from The Bistro. You can get Starbucks here as well. Rooms were tidy & Housekeeping was extra helpful. Again, the guest services across the board really made the stay a good one. Down the hill from the hotel you'll find a few fast food spots - Japanese, Italian & a Subway. For the main strip of restaurants & retail, it's just a few miles to Garrisonville Road. read more

Exceptional service. Due to the crazy winter storms in Virginia, a lot of families have been out of power for almost 4 days now and freezing inside their homes. Unfortunately, a friend of mine is one of those many families (it's currently below 40° in their home, with temps expected to drop to 14° tomorrow) ... and to top it off, she's fighting the flu while freezing. I was able to book a room for her family (her, her hubby, mother, and cat) to get them out of the freezing temps. I called to verify there wouldn't be any hang ups with the reservation since I would be booking using the app, and wouldn't be there in person to provide my card. Sonya helped me out, and updated my reservation to avoid any issues. Additionally, she's allowing them to check in immediately (vice waiting for the usual 3 pm check-in time) so they can get out of the cold! Absolutely amazing. We needed a place to sleep after driving 6 long and stressful hours of a 10 hr trip. So we looked on our favorite place, YELP, saw a raddison, past by, looked like something out of a scary movie!! So we went to this location. So we are so glad we did. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in by a very nice young lady. Verlina. She was so pleasant, friendly and welcoming! We knew we were in the right spot. She was full of info for us. We went up to our room on the 4th floor. It was immaculate, and nice and cool. Spacious. We traveled from MA to FL and then back to MA. Along the way we stayed at a lot of places. We make this trip every year. We get to this hotel late at night around 11:30pm after driving all day. The guy at the check in counter was a nice enough guy but really didn't seem to have any idea what he was doing. Told us our room was already taken by someone else. I prepaid through Expedia so that means this person's stay is on my credit card. It also means that this guy was not checking ID for people at check in. He called the person staying in our room down and our last names were not even close to being the same. We sat in the lobby for 20 min only to realize he was putting us in a different room anyway. He fumbled over his words and couldn't really explain what was going on. Still worried about the charges since my bill at check out has no description. Very strange! We wake up the next morning and go to breakfast only place out of every hotel we stayed at that did not offer free coffee and breakfast. Man at the counter was extremely rude. I ordered French toast he put my order into the kitchen then remembered he has no syrup. Tried to convince me that butter and jam would be just as good. If it was free I would have just settled but it was $8.50, so I want what I ordered off their menu. So I canceled it and asked to just have a bagel. His exact words when I canceled it were "I hate when people do that" like excuse me? It's not my fault you let me know after I order something that you didn't have all that should come with it. Coffee was gross tasted burnt there was no cream left. Tables were dirty and the chairs had stains on them. Get up to our room to take showers and the shower floor was dirty. The hair dryer was absolutely disgusting!!! How on earth a hair dryer could get so nasty is just mind blowing. Out of all the hotels we stayed at from FL to MA or vice versa this was the worst one from customer service to quality. Very disappointing! read more

Clean and updated rooms, nice bar area downstairs and they serve dinner until 10pm. What I can't forgive it the contractor who installed the shower pan so it slopes AWAY from the drain. I can't stand the water puddling at my feet while I try to kick it towards the drain. Also, super thin walls. My neighbor had his tv on, it probably wasn't that loud but I could definitely hear it while I was trying to sleep. Convenient location though. read more

This was perfect. We were in town for a half marathon at Prince William Forest Park. We decided to drive down the night before and stayed here overnight. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I'll be 100% honest. This place was going to be a 5* review until what happened just now. I am still currently a guest here and I can't believe that a Marriott type chain would be this incredibly unobservant. I have nothing bad to say about hotel. Comfortable beds nice bathroom excellent heating/cooling systems in a great location with a great government rate... Okay now the ONLY reason for my 1*... We got a sweet tooth craving with my fiancé around 11pm. Their "mini bar" is open 24 hours so I went down. Fiancé reviewed the limited selection (which is fine) nothing major didn't expect it. She chose a "Ben and Jerry's banana ice cream container. Normally I don't check the expiration date but I decided to just look. It said Dec1915. I told the lady it must be expired and she INSISTED it meant December 2019 and that the 15 was irrelevant. I went back and picked up a different ice cream container. This one said Oct2916... The same lady didn't even dare to try to pull a fast one again. Obviously ice cream doesn't last 3 years. I can't believe they tried lying to us. Once I mentioned that they are trying to sell people ice cream that expired 5 months ago she put the Ice cream behind the bar which I believe was the fridge again.. She did not just throw it out. I'm assuming it's going back in the fridge after we leave to be sold back to some drunk person... I cannot believe that this happened at a MARRIOTT. My only recommendation to people is bring your own desert I wouldn't be surprised if they don't check any expiration dates at all on their items.. For all I know people are getting sick eating expired and never know why. I didn't talk too much about the amenities so I'll touch briefly on it. Pool is not big but it's good. Jacuzzi and Pool both looked veryyyy dirty with stuff growing along the bottom. I don't expect many people to use it so I don't mind it much. I tried the gym, 1/2 treadmills didn't work at all. The belt skipped off the bat. Treadmill 2/2 stopped random on me about 4 minutes in and never started up again. Limited gym but it was enough for me. They have 1 laundry washer and dryer. I used both and both worked fine. I don't expect many people to use them. Overall if it wasn't for the bad experience with the expired food I would definitely consider this place a 4 or even 5* review. I was appalled at how they handled the situation. read more

This is my second time staying here. All in all, this place features some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in the U.S.A. The front desk clerks are very friendly and helpful. (Shout out to Willette!) The room heaters/air conditioning units can get a bit loud, but if you're like me you learn to tune it out. Probably the worst thing about this place is the location. There are only a couple restaurants nearby, but the nearest convenience store is a decent walk away. So that forces you to use their sundries store by the front desk, and those prices are pretty high. If you want to do dry cleaning, I suggest waiting until you can find somewhere else to take it. Dry cleaning is double the price of what I'm used to. But other than that, this place is in a good, safe location. And it's not very far from several historic towns, and less than an hour from D.C. read more

The staff at this hotel has customer service down pat! The cafe staff to house keeping were as friendly and helpful as can be. I did not once get a bad attitude when I had a question or request. They were eager to assist. The hotel room was clean, modern and chic. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The pillows were perfectly puffy! The hotel provided a full size blow dryer and Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner. The iron and iron board were good quality. The refrigerator was on the small side, but it kept our water and food cold. The hotel had a full size washer and dryer and sold detergent. The gym had decent cardio machines, a bench and free weight set. They even provided free ear buds and sweat towels. The outside patio area was spacious and perfect for socializing and even featured fire pits. My only complaint is that staff did not allow me or my roommate to add the Marriott points to our accounts which was disappointing and wasteful. The staff flip flopped on their policy several times and finally stated that we could not add them to our accounts :( All in all I enjoyed my stay, felt comfortable and was happy to stay in a clean hotel room! Hello! Been a member of Marriott for over 21 years and a previous time-share owner. Here for a business related training nearby. That being said, see my review of the Globe and Laurel a nearby restaurant (Google, Yelp, and Trip Advisor.) Nice newer property, less than 4 years or close. Stayed on the 4th floor, king suite. Everything functioned, TV, outlets...Nice walk-in shower. Room/property well maintained. Front desk staff always polite and I talked with at least 5 different "associates.". So consistency is critical. Cleaning staff were busy and polite as well. Ordered food at the "Bistro" several times, staff helpful and friendly as well. One note on the prices; one beer over $6 (bottle), Happy-hour prices limited to the lower quality beers and probably to limited mixed drinks if any? Food is fairly pricey, so bring snacks and water to supplement of course. I reserved and paid for a room several weeks ago. I arrived at the hotel to check in, and they informed me they did not have a room ready. I waited 3 more hours and once again tried to check in. They still did not have a room ready. I was in town to attend a wedding. The wedding party specifically booked a block of rooms at this hotel. The wedding was scheduled to begin at 4:00, and at 3:30 nothing was available for me. I had nowhere to shower and prepare for the wedding. This place is definitely not worth the $150-$200 to stay per night. read more

Just spent the weekend at this hotel, and we were amazed at what a beautiful facility it is. The customer service was superb! My husband was participating in a race nearby, and when we realized we forgot our sunscreen, the young lady at the front desk volunteered to go purchase it for us. She must have done this after her shift was over, and did not let us pay for it. When was the last time you experienced a hotel employee doing that for a customer? In our case -- never! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience staying here. We ended up getting stranded near Stafford due to a severe snow storm, and were luckily able to book a room that night. Their entire staff from the front desk, cafe, and housekeeping were all incredibly nice. The cafe normally closes at 10PM, but stayed open later to make us dinner after our 11 hour drive. Rooms were immaculate and made up every night as well as clean and fresh, staff was beyond helpful, spending the time to chat with us and send us to those 'down home' local restaurants we were looking for and not the big chains, and the lobby itself was spacious, clean, and accommodating. My partners and I spent an evening in the lobby area preparing a presentation and the ambiance, layout, and overall good vibes we got made prepping that much easier! I was expecting a little more, just because a lot of sites show the executive suite version of the room (where the room appears larger with a dedicated living space) and I didn't know at the time that it was the executive suite. The normal rooms have everything in one much smaller space - the living space and kitchenette (cabinet with microwave and mini fridge) run along the window and the bed the opposite wall. The rooms are fairly modern and clean although some parts of the room (like caulking in the shower, parts of the AC unit, etc.) are starting to show wear and come apart. Staff was friendly enough at check-in and at the bistro each morning, except the last morning - the lady working the bistro this morning just wasn't listening - I placed an order and asked for the meal to be made to-go and she still brought it out as if I were eating there and I told her several times what I wanted to drink, yet she kept offering me coffee or tea. House-keeping staff is quick, which is a little worrisome. Hopefully between guests they do a lot more thorough clean than what I witnessed. The mini fridge was kind of weird because it doesn't get very cold and it looks like it only runs for up to 2 hours at a colder temp and then levels off, so drinks don't get very cold just as a FYI. Water pressure from the sinks are also fairly low, but the shower was fine. During check-in they were running a promo where you could spin a wheel and win free items such as two free nights, etc. and I ended up winning 500 Marriott Rewards so we'll see how that goes! All-in-all it's a decent place, it's not the nicest place I've ever stayed in, but for the rate, I would stay again in the future potentially if something newer and around the same rate weren't available (I say this because a new hotel is being built around the corner from this one and it's not a Marriott-branded one so I imagine they'll end up competing). Gym was decent but mostly cardio-focused. The only other thing I'd suggest for the hotel is to consider smaller phones for the room. The little desk that the phone sits on has power outlets built into it and if you try to put anything else on that desk to charge (i.e. my tablet), it crashed to the floor when I tried to answer the phone because there's just not enough space there. In 2018, you could do a much more space-friendly cordless phone with cradle and it would give you a lot of the room on an already small table back. read more

I state at this hotel for a couple of weeks. The rooms were awesome and the staff was amazing. This hotel is dserving of the rating. The only issues I had was that nothing (except the newspaper) was complimentary. No breakfast, not coffee, no cookies, nothing. The food and beverage prices were really expensive. The refrigator was small and the storage for cloths was also tight for an extended stay. But if you are here for a week or less this would be a perfect hotel. read more

I am a Marriott Rewards member and stay at Marriotts over 30 days a year. In the last week of April we checked in to the Courtyard in Stafford Quantico. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out this was the most enjoyable hotel we have ever stayed in. At check-in, without asking, we were helped with our bags to our room.............by the manager (Walter Burton).....no less. The room was in excellent condition. The walk-in shower was an unexpected pleasant surprise. All of the personnel we encountered went out of their way to be friendly. On the last day, which happened to be my birthday, we went down to get breakfast and they had just closed and were cleaning up. When Amber Burton and Messeret Telemarian asked me what I would have ordered........they said they would do it . I then commented that this was my lucky day because it was my 76th birthday. Not only did they comp our breakfast but when they brought our breakfast they included a piece of chocolate molten cake and sang happy birthday. it was obvious to that this hotel really puts their guests first. Even had the unpleasant experience of leaving items behind after departing only to be informed that they would be delighted to return them to me at no expense to me.
