Compared to other meal service delivery companies (Whole Body Fuel and Fit Life) their food is my favorite. Although the food delivered by Catered Fit is healthy, it appears that the priority is taste. And there is nothing wrong with that, I prefer a service that I can eat daily and actually enjoy the food. Customers can order "paleo" or vegetarian meals as well. If you have specific allergies, these can be noted prior to ordering. Catered Fit is 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the cost and their website. If your plan is to save money, this may not be for you, because cooking at home is more economical. At first there appears to be a 15 meal minimum, because the website does not make it clear that one must select the "combo" plan instead of the "classic plan", to order 10 meals. However, if you want to customize the 15, 20, or 25 meal plan there is an up-charge. This is very confusing and I think that they will work this out in the website for new customers. The website is a bit confusing. Although you can customize all of your meals, it will take some time to understand that you can order 2 dinners per a day, but can't substitute breakfast for lunch (on 15 meals or higher plans without an up-charge). Keep in mind the meals are always a day behind, so if you leave town on a Wednesday make sure to cancel Tuesday on the meal scheduler. This is the best food delivery company in all of Florida. After trying several companies, both local and delivery companies, I'm back to ordering meals from Catered Fit. They deliver daily, which assures freshness, and they have several menus to choose from at no extra charge. I mostly order meals from their Paleo menu but they also have Keto and Meatless menus which I'm interested in trying. The food is really tasty and they vary their meals constantly. They provide nutrition info now both on their website and on their app which makes it easy if you're counting calories/macros or if you're trying to stay on track with your fitness/nutrition goals. They do charge a delivery fee ($3 per day for Central Florida, Tampa and Orlando) which increases the total cost per meal but they've been able to get rid of their tax charge which helps offset the delivery charge. Their customer service agents have always been very nice and helpful and usually take care of any issues that may arise right away. The driver who delivers my meals is very nice and reliable. read more

Terrible customer service and would never do business with them again! Deceptive sales tactics, hidden renewal obligations and the owner refuses to speak with us to remedy our situation. My wife signed up for their 20 meal trial program at a local yoga studio and the sales representative never mentioned the auto-renew payment obligation (yes shame on us for not reading the fine print buried on thier website and that we were never told about!!). We wanted to try out the meals to see if they would appeal to us. My wife was told there were "no strings attached" and at the end of the trial meal plan we could renew or if not happy, the meals would just stop being delivered and that would be the end of it. We decided it wasn't going to work for us. Based on what we were told when signing up we believed after the trial 20 meals were done it would just stop - but the meals kept coming. Realizing something wasnt right we called customer service and and we're told we had been billed $572 in advance for the next 20 meals. We requested they cancel immediately and asked for a refund and were told that we were obligated to pay for the additional meals that were delivered even though we had not ordered or eaten them (still in our freezer after a month of trying to get this resolved). We have called numerous times requesting a full refund but are being told only a partial refund is all they can offer. We have sent emails to the owner which have gone unanswered. The customer service manager says he has the final say and refuses to let us speak to the owner to try and get this resolved. We are happy to send them back the unopened meals we didn't want and didn't sign up for. I don't know how as an owner of any business that you refuse to speak with an unhappy customer or make any attempts to work out a solution that would have easily resolved this situation. Buyer beware - the owner does not care about his customers and the manager of support is rude and completely unhelpful. read more

I must say, I LOVE Catered Fit! I received my first smooth operator delivery yesterday; which, their deliverer was able to get up to my apartment. What a pleasant surprise to come home to after a 12 hour day of yoga training and teaching. Especially, since I just moved and have nothing in the new place meal worthy. I must admit, I had a nibble of everything last night! I was so impressed I could hardly wait for today to savor the 3 meals I had ready to heat up and eat. I heated them on the stove and was impressed with the freshness and nutrient density these meals provide. My uncle and I have been using Catered Fit for two weeks now, and overall, we're very happy with it. To start off we thought we'd try a combo plan of paleo and classic meals, two a day for a week. That would give us a good idea of what we liked or didn't like and a general overview of how the program works. At first glance, the price seems steep, but when you break the cost down to a per-meal number, it works out to be slightly more expensive than going out to eat (and the CF meals are good for you and keep you full longer, so it seems like a good deal.) Larger portion sizes (called Athletic) are a $1.00 more per meal, and several of them have been large enough that I can see splitting them up into two meals. This would be a good way to go if you like smaller portions and wanted to stretch your money out a bit. On the website, there is an option to personalize your meal a bit, such as if you don't like olives, mushrooms, dairy-free, etc. I believe that can be changed in the settings, but I haven't tried it yet, as I'm still pretty satisfied with my situation. If you try to select a meal that has a component you've chosen to exclude, you'll get a popup window that warns you of this. You can then make the choice to continue with that choice or make another. Each meal also includes a nutritional break down, so if you're counting macros, CF makes that easy, too. Additionally, I love the option of being able to pick from three options for my meals. Even though we go with lunch and dinner, it's nice that we can also choose to have a breakfast meal delivered should it sound like something we can't miss. Every night between 6:30-7 (your times may vary), the meals for the next day are delivered. They keep in the fridge for three days, but can also be frozen, too. I haven't tried reheating from frozen yet, so I can't speak to that. I've gotten more satisfactory heating results if I stir things around a bit and separate my meat a little bit so that I'm not still getting cold/more room temperature bites. Like another reviewer said, it seems like taste is a priority at CF. Not only can I rest easy knowing that I don't have to think about what I'm eating even a little, but I also look forward to my next meal knowing that the work is completely absent and it's still gonna taste good. It also helps keep my cheats in check because I don't talk myself into something on the way home from school to while I'm out running errands. This peace of mind has really helped me push that much harder to reach my next fitness goal because the food aspect, which can be overwhelming in many ways, is taken care of. I think my husband appreciates that, too, because we're not spending a ton at the grocery store, I'm not always hangry, and dinner time is a breeze. As you can tell, I have very few, if any complaints about this service. Suggestions, yes, but not complaints. A couple of those suggestions would be a bigger container so that everything isn't bunched together as it reheats, and the option for more than 4 exclusions (or to be more specific, for items like cilantro. I couldn't eat last night's spaghetti sauce because cilantro was mixed in throughout). While yes, it IS a bit like eating leftovers, I think it's not as bad as that, especially when this service comes with so many other benefits. read more

I have been using Catered Fit for 2 weeks now. I have 4 more weeks to go. One thing to keep in mind is that this food is already cooked. It comes to you cold and needs to be heated in the microwave or re-plated and heated in the oven. To me it is like eating "left overs" everyday. I am not a fan of left overs. When I signed up for this service they had samples. The samples were warm and quite tasty. But not re-heated. Big difference. Food is delivered to your home to a cooler on your front step. Sometimes it is delivered at 7pm sometimes 11:30at night and anywhere in between. The food itself comes packaged out in meals and portions. Sometimes the dishes look as though they have been shook up before dropped off in my cooler. Some dishes have small sauces in cups in the packages. Those lids come off really easily and can be spilled in the container. It actually happens a lot. There was a banana chocolate pancake that was just nasty because it soaked up all of the syrup cup. Try to heat that up... not a nice texture. Meal wasted except for the small fruit cup. There are some of the sliced types meats that turn into jerky in the microwave or even heated in a pan or in the oven. Pulled pork turns into a texture like mulch. Couldn't even chew it. There have been very few meals that have been really good. One good one for example, the eggplant rollitini when heated in the microwave was so chewy and weird. So I heated it in the oven the next time around. It was crispy and quite delicious. I opted for the snack package. So far the only snacks I have received: 1. sesame crisp bar 2. oatmeal type cookie 3. pretzels with other small crunchies like wasabi peas 4. very small yogurt cups. Every single time I get a cookie it is a wet mess. As if it was bagged when hot or sponged up the water from the ice packs. Those always go in the trash. They are just nasty. I am a really good cook but thought this may help with a Weight Loss Challenge at Orangetheory. Signed up for 6 weeks due to a deal and spent about $700... what was I thinking? So I am making the best of it. I should have opted for a meal service that I could cook fresh. If you are not a good cook or don't mind reheating food, you may like Catered Fit. They have options for Paleo, Regular, vegetarian, and pescatarian diets. I have tried a little of everything. The Paleo meals are really tasteless and weird textures. I have started to go with the salads that have a protein included that does not need to be reheated. These are better than the other meal options, but gets old. If you decide to do this, be sure to read everything on the website. All the details, etc. They auto renew unless you shut it off, subscriptions are not transferable, and there are no refunds or changes allowed. Once done with my subscription, I am done. read more

We are thrilled with Catered Fit on many levels, it has been perfect for us. It is changing the way we eat. We're 2 adults and a teenager, and we're doing the 4 Combo meal plan, and scheduling them for delivery 3-4 days a week. We were hoping to be able to eat out a little less, cook at home a little less, and eat healthier. We've been using it for about a month now. Here's what we've found: -The meals taste really delicious, I would say about 85% of them we are even WOWed by the flavor, we've been really surprised. The meats/veggies are not overcooked. Fresh herbs, nice sauces. -Cooked same day they are delivered. For us they usually come around 6p and we can eat them that night. I love that they are already cooked, and they don't really taste like leftovers. -Massive variety - we're now eating all sorts of different vegetables that we wouldn't normally cook at home, and the meals have such different flavors, Indian, Vietnamese, Southern "fried" chicken, Italian. -Big selection: 6 choices per day as you can choose from the lunches seems to be interchangeable with the dinners. John is a picky eater, and can always find something he wants without mushroom or beans or sweet potatoes or any of the things he doesn't like. -Eating healthier because I'm getting my veggies every day, I'm trying some lower carb ideas from the Paleo menu like zucchini noodles or miracle noodles, but you can still get real pasta on the Classic Menu. The meals are balanced and portion controlled, nothing fried, no white flour or sugar, no antibiotics/hormones in the meat. Fun to have options ground turkey and chicken dishes that would normally be made with beef like Thai Curry Chicken Meatballs, or Indian Shepherd's Pie. occasionally beef too like Lasagna (and a low carb version too!) -Feels like Christmas when the meals arrive, we can't wait to try them. -Feels like we're eating out too, because we each get to choose what we want, and the meals are complex and interesting like restaurant food, and someone else made it! -The service has been reliable, and customer service on the phone was helpful and friendly, they helped me customize some meals Women and some meals Men portions. Trying to balance work and family life is hard enough without having to worry about cooking healthy meals at the end of a busy day. It's hard to explain the feeling I got when I pulled into my driveway on my first delivery and saw my Catered Fit bag waiting for me at my door! The food is healthy (healthier than I could prepare), fresh (cooked every morning), and ready to be eaten. No preservatives or chemicals, and no bag of ingredients needing to be cooked. I just heat, eat and go enjoy my kids for the rest of the evening. There is no kitchen mess to clean or dishes to be washed. I also have the lunches delivered and take them to work. The food from the pharmaceutical reps either gave me headaches or made me feel tired by 3 pm. I swear I'm one of the few employees not carb crashing in the afternoon. I recently signed up for my first week with Catered Fit, and had issues from the start. The website didn't operate properly when I tried to sign up, and I received no answer when I tried calling. Once that was straightened out, I received my first meals and the delivery was really poor. I left instructions on my account to notify me via text when a delivery was coming so that I could make sure it didn't sit outside too long. I never received those texts. Additionally, I was charged $10 for a cooler bag and the ice packs that the food is supposed to come in, only to not receive them on the first delivery. I had to email customer service to get it. Then, once I did receive it, the driver didn't use it, and continued to leave my food on my porch with no cooling pack. When I contacted customer service, they denied it all and said that I was the one not returning the packs properly and that the drivers were doing exactly what they were supposed to do. I was very offended by this - they were essentially accusing me of lying rather than trying to assist and ensure I was having a positive experience as a new customer. Lastly, I paid extra for daily desserts and snacks, but never received them. I asked to cancel my subscription after only 2 days, but they refuse to refund me for the days that I haven't received food. I intend to pursue them for this, as they cannot legally withhold my money and not provide me the service I signed up for. I intend to go back to Fit Life foods and the other local services that are much, much better than Catered Fit. I would recommend you do the same and not get pulled into this scam. read more
