As a mom, I asked myself that same question. Leaving your children in someone else's care is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. We all want a place where our children are safe, loved, learning, and genuinely happy while we're away. After a lot of searching, I can honestly say that choosing LBFDS was one of the best decisions I've made for my family. The Teachers & Environment: This is the biggest reason I recommend LBFDS. The teachers don't just supervise the children--they genuinely care about them. They build relationships, celebrate milestones, comfort them when they're upset, encourage them to learn, and make every child feel loved and secure. I especially want to recognize Teacher Brenda (if I'm remembering her name correctly). My child absolutely adored her. Every morning my little one would light up with excitement and run straight into her arms. As a parent, there's nothing more comforting than knowing your child feels that safe and loved. Moments like that speak volumes about the people they hire. The daycare is always clean, organized, and welcoming. Every time I've walked in, the children looked genuinely happy. Communication: One of my favorite things about LBFDS is how well they communicate with parents. As a mom who worries about her children all day, the updates meant everything to me. They kept me informed with diaper changes, feeding times, naps, and daily activities. They also sent pictures and videos throughout the day, which instantly gave me peace of mind. Seeing my children smiling, playing, learning, and making friends reassured me that they were exactly where they needed to be. Learning & Activities: The older my children have gotten, the more I've realized how much they learned at LBFDS. They don't simply keep children busy--they help them grow. They focus on age-appropriate academics, language development, social skills, and fine and gross motor skills while making learning fun. Their days are filled with story time, arts and crafts, educational activities, outdoor play, music, snacks, nap time, and opportunities to socialize with other children. Everything is thoughtfully planned for each age group, creating a balance between learning and play. Parent Involvement: One of the things I appreciate most is how much LBFDS values family involvement. Throughout the year they host holiday programs and special events where parents get to watch their children sing, perform, and celebrate what they've learned. Those moments are priceless, and I'll always treasure the crafts and keepsakes my children proudly brought and will bring home. They also help children build confidence, independence, and friendships while creating an environment where every child feels included and encouraged to succeed. Overall If you're looking for a daycare where your child is truly loved--not just supervised--I wholeheartedly recommend LBFDS. Their caring teachers, strong communication, engaging academics, fun activities, and welcoming environment have exceeded every expectation I had. The greatest gift they've given me is peace of mind. Knowing my children are safe, happy, learning, and surrounded by people who genuinely care is something I can never fully express. We tried a few other places and we had a hard time getting someone to even pick up the phone. When we called Precious Moments, they picked up right away and they answered all our questions. We eventually took a tour and when we decided that we wanted to send our son there; they made the registration process really easy. After my wife gave birth, I called them with the eventual time frame that my wife and I were looking at. Precious Moments remembered us right away and they were genuinely excited to meet our son. To give some insight about the cost. Precious Moments takes ECECD Child Care Assistance and if you qualify, it is only a $48 copay a month. Regular it would be $267 a week, which unfortunately is normal for daycares these days. They will give you all the information on how to sign up for the assistance program (which is through the state, not the center itself). The qualifications for receiving the benefits is not extreme at all. Our son has been going to Precious Moments for about 3 months now and everything has been going great so far. The management is great and on top of things. The teaching staff also do a great job as well. The facility is really clean and you can smell it when you walk in. Precious Moments really cares about your child. To give some insight, my son ending up getting hospitalized for a week with RSV. During our time in the hospital, Precious Moments called us almost every day to check in on him and to say that everyone was missing him. Overall, I highly recommended them. I would say if you are interested, to at least give them a call and see if your experience matches ours.

Dropping my kiddo off wasn't a struggle because he was excited to go every day and coming home he was always happy which gave me assurance that I made the right choice enrolling my son there. It's secure which I definitely like, you could call anytime of day to check in and see how your kiddo is doing and someone is always there to answer the phone. My child went to that facility since 6 weeks old and never had so many issues that weren't resolved until recently such as failure to be aware of her lactose allergy and served her whole milk in lieu of Lactaid on numerous occasions. I am appalled this center has not received more complaints and inspections for the lack of attention to detail for each child in their care and the lack of training management has. Also they bribe currently enrolled parents to place positive reviews in order to receive fee waivers, don't trust the reviews. First, the place is super clean, and they have a great curriculum in place. But what truly sets them apart is the staff/ teachers. They are warm, kind, and genuinely care about the kids. Unlike other centers where I felt rushed and my child was left crying, here, they took the time to understand my little one's needs. I never felt rushed. Getting to know the teachers is a big deal to me. One big plus, no kids crying during drop-off or pick-up! You can really tell it's a nurturing environment. Plus, it doesn't smell like dirty diapers, which is a nice perk! We're just finishing our second week, and I'm so glad I chose this center. It might be a bit out of my way, but it's the best decision I've made for my child. If you're looking for a CARING and CLEAN center, I highly recommend Eastern Child Development Center!

As a parent that was a huge red flag to me, I had also taken pictures of it as soon as we noticed them, which was the date of each bruise . After the second one something didn't feel right, considering again it was in the same exact spot and the same exact long line shape. I never received an apology or an explanation as to why my daughter received these bruise on her back thigh near her bottom. For the safety of your kids, I would not recommend bringing them here!

She is hardly ever in the office, and almost impossible to get a hold of to conduct business with. No members of the staff respect her- and this lack of respect aides in the unhappiness atmosphere of this day care. Although the kitchen staff is quite friendly- none of the food your child will be eating is flavorful or nutritious. Much of it is plastic wrapped pancakes, burritos and I have even seen reheated pizza for breakfast the next day. We ultimately left the day care after our child began having melt downs in the morning's when left with a specific teacher. Another child in the same class was so afraid of "said teacher" that she would wet herself when her mother tried to leave her. Needless to say, they no longer attend little Sunbeams either. Save yourself and your child a ton of frustrations and heartache by choosing another daycare!! And to the daycare board- I hope that you can re-create the loving healthy atmosphere Ms. Renee brought to the daycare, by bringing in a new director.

I am so happy that we have a home at Little Sunbeams. We have made great relationships with the other families and the teachers. At each step of his development I can easily say that he was/is in a safe, age-appropriate, caring and inviting place for hands-on-learning and growth. He loves to go to school (Little Sunbeams) and has a variety of friends from Chef John, Brennan in the morning, the Dance teacher on Thursday, Tracey B, Pastor Greg and the Scott in Tuesday chapel, all the teachers, and of course his classmates - all who help form this rich environment. In the past 4 years the center has had changes in staff, as do all business, but I can honestly say that every person who has contact with us or with my son truly has his and our best interest at heart. Renee, the Director, and various teachers throughout our tenure have visited with us to be sure that we are all on the same page. If it is working together on potty training, sitting still in circle time, or how to encourage writing/fine motor skills or it is important that we are all working together for our children's development. Bumps, bruises and spills are inevitable and my experience has been that the staff err on the side of caution and often phone to ensure that a parent is properly notified of anything out of the norm while immediately tending to the child. There is always a written form documenting the incident. We have brought various concerns - either about something with my child or policies at the center- to Renee and/or to our teacher and have felt that we are heard and that we are working together to help my child be both a good little person and developmentally sound. Praise and love are apparent everywhere, but I also appreciate the boundaries and consequences when they are needed. We just received our acceptance letter from Manzano Day School for Kindergarten next year and are sad to be leaving Little Sunbeams in August, but very excited to know that he will be well-prepared for his next chapter in life.
