This lovely building and playground is nestled right up against the fields off Montaño Rd, behind the church and set away from the busy traffic. The outdoor play area is spacious and has a lot of variety - staff told us it was just newly remodeled before this school year started. The classroom is big, bright, open, and beautiful! They have so many play-directed, exploratory learning activities and stations - the learning/teaching method is absolutely ideal. They even have a quiet space for kiddos who need a break from stimulation where they can quietly spend some time alone if needed; I thought that was an incredibly thoughtful and empathetic way to support children who may be more shy or have social anxieties. My kids absolutely love this school- their peers and their teachers. This was our third try, looking for the right fit for our son. We feel so lucky and blessed that they had space for us this year. This is my daughter's first year in preschool and it is so wonderful knowing that the class structure encourages mixed-age grouping and integration- for big chunks of the day, the younger kids can freely interact and engage with the older kids - which is proven to support healthy development:) then in other parts of the day, they break off into similar age groups for planned curriculum to teach to their specific levels/needs. Child to teacher ratio is low, so individual needs and attention are easily met, and everyone builds stronger relationships. We have felt a part of a real community here, not just passing through. Every staff member is warm and kind, and makes effort to engage us as parents in a meaningful way. I highly recommend anyone with preschool age children to take a tour, meet the staff and decide for yourself. They fill up fast, and you might get on a waiting list- but it's worth the effort to know you have found one of the best schools in the city to care for and educate your little ones.

I found out when I picked up from school & was told they couldn't touch the wound & had him rinse his hand with water. If there would've been a call (like any other school does when there is a injury) I would've left work to bring him supplies to properly clean the wound. The staff there is super rude, there is maybe 5 teachers that are friendly. The secretary/athletic director has no sense in how to run the athletic program & safety again is a issue when she let's first graders play in sports with 4th graders. She will just glare at you & won't speak & that's how majority of the staff is. The second grade teacher Ms Hamby is awful! She has no control over her class, she will not communicate with parents & if your child isn't a staff members child she will definitely have it out for your child. They continue to raise tuition every year but nothing changes, the lunch program continues to get more expensive but the servings are smaller, the one thing I have noticed is parents become "teachers" & they will either get free tuition or drastically reduced so that to me explains why they continue to raise tuition. Who knows if these parents have teachers degrees/certifications, my son's computer "teacher" had them watch videos on how to make PB&J sandwiches, that's not computer class to me. It is not a large school with a maximum of 12 students per class, which I find to be amazing. The teachers are able to give students more attention which helps establish positive relationships and build trust in the classroom. There is also a lot of parental involvement and lots of fun activities that the school offers through PTFC. My son is now 5 and he has graduated but each of these employees are still with Springstone. The employees are amazing and go above and beyond to teach the kids lesson needed for everyday. Their Montessori curriculum is taught daily, in all ages. Kids are taught love, respect and discipline. The classroom sizes are small and the teachers all work together. Ms. Melissa, Ben, and all other members of the staff have always been there to help. I highly recommend Springstone and would choose this school over any other school.

If children are calling each other names, it won't be shut down and the educators may engage in the name-calling as well. When I shared our philosophy at home, that we don't call people outside of their names (that it's respectful to refer to people as they prefer)- and if people are called outside of their names, then the adults around shut down the behavior and role model appropriate/ humane treatment of other humans; I was then told that this wasn't the school for us because they would not shut down name-calling and that it would potentially be encouraged as "imaginative play." If you want a school that encourages name-calling and potential bullying, has indescrepincies on their website, and doesn't know their staff's backgrounds- this may be the place for you. If you want a school that encourages education, humane treatment, and cultural diversity- this probably isn't it.

She did really well in there with Ms. Trista. When it came time to transition to the toddler classroom 12-18m it went well except her main teacher ended up leaving after a few months. Ms. Amber ended up being the lead teacher. My daughter the older she got was then in a classroom next door for 18-24m. This teacher also ended up transferring to a different location. Once my daughter was in the 2 year classroom (willow) I believe she was finally stable with two teachers and did well. Sadly the location and a few things my husband and I noticed with the school have led us to move our daughter to a school nearby our home. Out of all the staff, I have personally noticed these teachers go above and beyond for my daughter. Ms. Trista, Ms. Rosa & her 2 year old teacher in Willow. I can't remember her name. I felt they genuinely took care of my daughter like she was their own. There were a few teachers I didn't care for. Sadly due to events that happened to my child. When she was in the infant room. My daughter would sometimes be dropped off in the classroom across from her actual class. Around Christmas time a few years ago my mother in law picked up my daughter and had sent me photos of her. Earlier that day, I received a call from the school saying that my 8/9 month old had a bloody nose when she was in this other classroom. From the photos my mother in law took my baby had a gash in her cheek from what it looks like a deep scratch! It was so deep in her skin, she currently is almost 3 years old and it's a scar on her face. I think maybe the teacher scratched her on accident with her long nails. Yet they wrote on the report it was a "bloody nose". Yet my baby had a deep scratch on her cheek. You work with children and babies for gods sake. Some of the girls and teachers here had talons for nails. I forgot the teachers name in charge of her at that time but the front office staff said she was basically here for over 20 years so she knows what she's doing. Which is ridiculous! There were other incidents too where my daughter got bit twice in two weeks in the first toddler classroom. Clearly someone may not have been paying attention to my daughter if she was getting bit. Once my daughter got to the 2 year old classroom her teacher had very old school traditions with the kids and taught them to be independent. My husband and I enjoyed her being in there. She was starting to thrive again and enjoy being dropped off at school. Overall once I noticed the front admin changes. Things started to go downhill which was when my daughter was in the first toddler classroom with Ms. Amber. The front staff was less and less approachable and I felt speaking to them or addressing an issue to them I was walking on eggshells at times or they would be having personal conversations and I'd be interrupting. There were issues I've noticed that a few teachers would be on their phones. One time I dropped off my daughter in Ms. Trista's class and I look across at the babies on the other side and I seen through the window the same lady who was there over 20+ years, was on her phone while an infant baby was hysterically crying in the crib in the room across from Elm. Mind it was the same teacher that I believe scratched my child with her long nails. I had addressed this issue to the front staff and just by her lengthy time at Montessori nothing was done and they said teachers can be on their phones updating procare. Ok, I get that. But this baby was in need of her attention at the moment and as a mother that was sad to see. Tending to that child was more important than being on her phone. Another instance I've noticed was Ms. Amber was always on her phone as well for drop off but over time she actually got better not always being on it. I get they need to send updates on Procare but they mostly do that if the kids are on their nap time. Overall, the staff has a very high turnover with the admin, front staff and teachers. I am not sure why the dynamic in the front admin changed but it feels very different now. Also, just because someone has been a teacher for over 20+ years doesn't always mean they enjoy their job. This day and age, the longer the people are working in a job they get invincible and think discipline wouldn't / shouldn't be given to them. He used to hate going to school and now (most days) he wakes up so excited to get to school to see his friends and teachers. Belle and Bernadette are great directors, very friendly and attentive to any concerns. The facility is always very clean and comfortable. This facility's response to COVID has been impressive. I feel very confident dropping my son off every day knowing that he's in good hands and kept very safe. I can't recommend this place enough.

My child was kicked out for a bogus reason because as a single parent I advocated for her well-being. Yes, my child would have accidents and no communication, no communication additional clothing was needed, she would have clothes and undies not hers, diapers that didn't fit, pull ups or no undies, or nothing at all plus red and irritated private parts. My child went to that facility since 6 weeks old and never had so many issues that weren't resolved until recently such as failure to be aware of her lactose allergy and served her whole milk in lieu of Lactaid on numerous occasions. I am appalled this center has not received more complaints and inspections for the lack of attention to detail for each child in their care and the lack of training management has. Also they bribe currently enrolled parents to place positive reviews in order to receive fee waivers, don't trust the reviews.
