I would exchange my CPAP machine in exchange for one of their hookah set ups. I will petition the scientific community to make their hookah a new element on the periodic table just so i can argue to the creator himself that i need to breathe this instead of oxygen. They do awesome events and J and M Productions does karaoke there with the best sound system (and host) in town Wed/Thurs/Saturday. I love that it's right in the heart of downtown Carson next to The Fox. To me, that's the prettiest area where you can grab food and walk around and admire the scenery. If I could describe it, I'd say it's got that rare mix of cozy hole-in-the-wall charm and electric energy. The kind of place where you walk in for "just one visit... You know...to check it out" and somehow end up a regular with a new crew of friends. Couldnt recommend this place enough. read more

First let me say Nathaniel, our bartender/owner, was phenomenal!! Located in the heart of Downtown Carson this place is an awesome find. Their Yelp information is outdated and almost deterred us from going. I'm so glad we decided to give them a try anyway. Updates; they do accept credit cards and also serve liquor. I wouldn't say it is a full bar but they do have options available for whatever you drink including beer on tap and bottle. I have never been a big fan of partaking in actually smoking the hookah because it usually gives me a headache and a burning feeling when trying to smoke it. However, the coals were kept at such a consistent temperature I did not experience any of that this time. We usually get peach mint and while it wasn't on the list of options, Nathaniel, eagerly said I can make it for you. Perfect Customer service!! The peach mint was strong and tasty and stayed that way for over an hour. I mentioned it was my wife's Birthday and Nathaniel also engaged the entire bar in singing Happy Birthday. I am so happy my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this hookah lounge. We're from out of town and love hookah; we always try to scope out hookah spots when going on vacation. We are not familiar with Carson City at all, considering it was both of our first times visiting the city, but the lounge is located in a cute, clean area with multiple places to eat at. This would be an ideal spot to go to after having lunch or dinner. This is a small place but I think it's perfect if you're looking to have a chill, relaxed night. I love that there's a bar too. The ambiance is so unique because the decor fits well with the title of the place. The hookah itself was really good! We had the flavor limon cello. There's a variety of flavors on the menu to choose from, and the prices are super reasonable. The hookah never became harsh for me after a while - I'm from San Francisco, and 90% of the time I go to hookah spots over there, it gets so damn harsh. So in my opinion, the owner has some quality shit lol. I really think this place deserves more credit! If you're ever in this area and feel like smoking hookah in a low key environment, this is the perfect place! If I lived around here, I would go a lot more often. read more

I have had more fun here than most places in Northern Nevada. The owner is an incredible guy that has made his what would seem "Just a hole in the wall" into an amazing place to meet up with good company. The lounge has beer on tap along side the hookah available. They host different nights of fun. My favorite being "Immersion" which has been held on the 2nd Saturday evening of the month for the past year or so. The different events & nights have been host to so different types of music or themes. Even an occasional outdoor event. With there being some larger louder nights this is in addition a wonderful spot for quiet and comfortable. Definitely a place to put in your go to list if you are in the Carson City area. read more

I liked this place better when it was called, "Still Smokin". The old owner was really cool but now a days its hipster hot spot. So if your into that kind of thing (which I'm not) then you might like this place. When I visited this hookah lounge I thought the service was pretty mediocre. The blends were pretty over priced and the guy that was servicing me and my boyfriend kept letting the coal burn the sheesha, which was making it very difficult to smoke. Me and my best friend go to the caterpillar at least once a month just for something to do. We tend to go early in the evening so we are usually the only ones there. We always get great service and the best couch. I am sad that they made their menu smaller bud that isn't enough to loose a star. I love that we have a hookah lounge in Carson and this is a cool one. Its Alice in Wonderland themed, but there is awesome local artwork all over the walls, some for sale. The hookahs and shisha are high quality, and they have fancy hookah attachments like chimneys and vortex bowls. They also have beers on tap, including angry orchard cider!! I'm from Los Angeles and been through a good amount of hookah lounges. I'm a regular hookah smoker and been smoking for about 4 years now. The owner is about to close yet he still gave us service and even stayed with us an hour after he closed. I liked the theme (Alice and wonderland), a theme that a lot of people have been wanting to do In LA. The hookah was great, the lounge had most fumari flavors along with other brands. I smoked one bowl for about hour and a half and it was still going. I found some of the past reviews funny. If the hookah burns bcuz of your coals, then it's probably bcuz you don't know how to manage them and that's ok. Just let your hookah server know the issue. This place gets 4 stars from be bcuz service was great, hookah was great and drinks were great. The only reason it's not 5 stars was bcuz there are flavors that are missing and in my opinion are must haves. But that's my personal opinion. I hope my suggestions are taken in consideration and are applied to the business. read more

This would be my forever go to place in downtown Carson city IF they had more alcohol selection. They only sell beer which I'm not a big fan of, so we always go drink a few shots at the local bars down the street before coming here. Besides that the atmosphere is awesome, they're have karaoke night every Wednesdays, and punk shows every once in a while which are my favorite times to go. There was 6 of us and the guy working there was nice to accommodate our large group in the back. I do have to say, at first his customer service wasn't all that appealing or very welcoming. My friends talked me into trying the local Hookah lounge. After visiting ones in California and Nevada, i was kinda excited to visit one local. I also heard they got a new owner or something, so I thought I would give it a try. Trust me, don't waste your time. The staff was very rude. There was a large group of a younger age-range I'd say that was there when the four of us strolled in. They acted like we were a huge inconvenience, and they wouldn't answer any of our questions, the staff even accused us of asking questions about some type of tobacco that was illegal or mold spores or something and acted like we were dumb, when in truth, we are just new to hookah lounges. I was completely insulted and disregarded and felt like we were lower-class citizens just for walking through there doors. I've NEVER been treated like this in any of the other hookah lounges I've been too, and in most establishments. I would NEVER recommend this place. Horrible staff. and totally RUDE. Take the drive up to Tahoe or Reno first. read more

This place was awesome. The decor was unique and pleasant to look at, the owner was very friendly, and even the fellow customers were cool. Excellent tobacco selections, and they use multi-hose hookahs, so no trading mouth pieces or dealing with hose-hog friends. If you live in Carson, go here now. Featuring many blends of tobacco and also some craft beers, teas, jewelry from local artist and now an oxygen bar. You can catch local acoustic musicians on the small stage and artwork hangs on the walls. Check out the Lego masterpeices in the bathroom! They even have a separate section for those wanting to have a good time for the 18-20 crowd in the back. My boyfriend and I were visiting lake Tahoe and made the journey to Carson city to try this place. It had really nice pictures of Alice in wonderland, and different types of art on the walls. it was very unique and there was also legos in the bathroom. It's always entertaining - local live music is often featured, as are movie/music nights on the bar's big-screen TV. The bar itself features incredible Alice In Wonderland artwork all over the walls, the private rooms, and the bathrooms. It's a small, very personal venue. The owner, Nate, is a prime draw for the venue in my eyes - the kindest and most professional bar owner I've met. He's often there, personally serving customers, and always takes the time to make sure your needs are met. Truly a class act. It *is* quite smoky due to the small, enclosed nature of the venue - those who cannot tolerate tobacco smoke for health reasons need to exercise caution. But for everyone else, this venue has become a social hub for downtown Carson and a magical place to be. read more

The staff is a little hit and miss with some staff making rounds about the bar and lounge and others remaining stationary and catering to more frequent guests. This is such a unique place in Carson, not to mention that it is located in a cool part of downtown Carson. You walk in and you are greeted by not only the staff but other customers who frequent the place. There are people of every age inside and its a good place to start a conversation with a stranger. My only complaint is that I wish they had more kegs of popular beers, when I go in they seem to be out of my favorite each time :( They have a lot of hookahs for sale, they also have a secret menu that they will give you if you ask. The girls (and the one guy) always have a good suggestion for flavors if you feel lost when you look at the menu. I do have to say that they are pretty serious about checking ID's. It really is like any other bar though you have to be a certain age to go in. So be sure to expect that. Though I have gone 3 times and by the last visit the girls recognized me and that was pretty neat. If you have your reservations I would say to you to go check it out, its a laid back place full of some pretty killer people read more

Overall my friends and i had a really good time. The atmosphere was excellent! Good music.. comfortable couches.. and really neat artwork. I understand that there is a male and female owner that run the place as well as two other females. The male owner seemed to be the type of person that doesn't want to work or even be there at all.. bad attitude and unprofessional. I have been here a couple of times now and all of the other workers are on point. Overall I give this place 4 stars. On the accounting for the male owner to not be working then you should bring your friends for a good time. read more
