We were looking to try something new while in Carson City and decided to give Bank Saloon a go. We were thrilled to see their extensive cocktail menu, featuring some of the best classics out there (a rarity nowadays). We snagged some spots at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartenders mix up many styles of cocktails for the growing number of patrons who made their way into the saloon after work. The ambience is upscale and classic, with the walls filled with paintings by NV artists - beautiful! We enjoyed a Jungle Bird, a Last Word, a Huckleberry Corpse Reviver, and a Paper Plane - each one delicious! We now have a solid cocktail bar to visit when we are back in town!

Reno Yelpers, you need to head to Carson more often. After attending the Taste of Downtown Carson City, the gang wanted to sit inside and enjoy a cocktail. The Bank as just a block south of the event space. This building has a great history and has been beautifully restored. It first opened in August of 1899 as Bank Saloon by owners Meyer & Sanger. In its time it has seen hold-ups by gunpoint, endured prohibition raids and a few name changes like Bank Resort, Hernando's Hideaway and Jack's Bar. In 2019 the vacant building was given new hope. Nevada Builders Alliance purchased the property intending to restore it back to its original glory. Man what a rebirth !! This elegant space has gorgeous black walnut woodwork and floors. A mix of high top and regular tables. Pieces of art from the McFadden collection dot the walls with scenes of the old west. It's a fantastic mix of history and modern. The cocktail menu is also a great mix of old school drinks and new twists. There were way too many to try on the first visit. So more trips will be needed. I also saw several local distilleries represented on the shelves. I appreciate that support. Besides the beautiful interior, there's a fantastic patio out back. Plenty of seating. And on the weekends live music. That music is piped into the bar at just the right background level. Street parking. Text me, I'll join you for a cocktail there soon.

If you want an upscale cocktail experience in Carson City this is probably one of the very few choices. This is a beautifully renovated old bank building they also have a small outside sitting area but it really only has a view of the parking lot. Drink selection is excellent prices are fairly high for Carson City but not for craft cocktails in general. The main disappointment here is that they don't really have food service but you can get a snack box.

This place is cute & the vibe is great! The drinks were average and they don't carry Prosecco which I think is interesting. I would return for a different drink.

Comfortable, stylish saloon with excellent beverages, both with and without spirits! Across from the Legislature with their own parking in the back! They have outdoor seating and live music as scheduled. Ryan, the bartender, is very pleasant and knowledgeable and offers suggestions based on your personal preferences. Inside is a variety of seating available. Drink specials offered. The best part, they offer military, first responders, and Veterans discounts.

Always a fun place to go! Warmer weather coming so that means firepit with live music outside! Still have music indoors now. Come on Spring!

I have loved Jack's bar since I was little! I would drive up from LA with my parents and the minute we hit the comstock, I would revert back in time! We would pass the Ormsby House and hit the light at 5th street and I would smile with glee! As an adult I used to walk by the abandoned building and imagine the gunslingers tying up their horses and moseying in for a shot! Today! I got to sidle up to the bar myself! The fabulous makeover gives it that modern feel and the bartender is a gem! I love sitting here! I feel "Annie Oakley" flowing! Please grab a drink here!

However, service has been a challenge during each visit. On our most recent visit, it took about 20 minutes to be seated with a party of four, including a child, even though there appeared to be open tables. After sitting down, it took several minutes before we were greeted. Our server brought waters and later took drink orders, but there wasn't much communication about timing or whether they were short staffed. Once we placed our order, we waited close to an hour for our food. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be tight -- we just would have appreciated a quick update along the way. A little communication goes a long way and helps set expectations. When our food arrived, part of the order was incorrect (we had requested a salad and soup substitution but only received fries). The server corrected it, and the food itself was good. It did come out at different times, and we noticed another table seated after us received their food much sooner, which was a bit confusing. We truly want to support Roy's and hope this feedback is helpful. With stronger communication and smoother service flow, it could be a great experience.

I visit Gina's semi-frequently as she does a great job getting live music every Wednesday-Saturday…read more I enjoy the vibes in Gina's and think the atmosphere is fun. Most bands that play there are great and while it is inside the Nugget casino, the smoke smell isn't too bad in Gina's itself. Gina does offer a full bar, minus beer on draft. You can bring in food but there is no food served. The pricing can be a bit high on some beverage items but in general it's comparable to other bars. Overall I think Gina's is great but a few things could make it better. 1. Some areas of the lounge feel a bit unfinished such as extension cords hanging around and ring doorbells being used as security cameras. 2. My dad often visits with me and does not drink. He is often charged for something like a soda water even when I order a drink. Understandable - but $4 for a single soda water without refills is not something other bars typically do when someone else in the party orders a drink. 3. It can be very loud. I do not think this venue was not originally built with loud live music in mind. Sometimes it's just a bit much. I will keep coming to Gina's for the music as I think it's a great spot, but there is always room to improve! Cheers.

We decided to try it out on our last visit to Carson City, and we are so glad we did. As soon as you walk in you can tell this is an elegant place. We used to go to Adele's a lot before it closed, and we definitely felt the presence of the place, even before we found out that they have some of the original decor of that famous Carson City institution. We recognized some of the windows and the old bar. You can see the influence on the menu too. Lots of gourmet choices as well as some go-to choices like Sliders and a French Dip. The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.
