Both my husband and I have been patients of Dr. Kirchner for 24 years. We originally lived minutes from her office but now live in Delray Beach and travel over 1 hour each way to see her. This review is based off of the appointment experience, I did not get a chance to see Dr. Kirchner. I selected Dr. Kirchner as my Primary Care Physician through my insurance for her moderately high ratings, that it said she was accepting new patients, and she is close to my home. I called Dr. Kirchner's office to make an appointment for an annual physical, and had to leave a voicemail for someone to call me back. The person who called me back was very rude and short and said they weren't accepting new patients. I told the employee that Dr. Kirchner was listed as accepting new patients through my insurance and she was already selected as my PCP. The employee said they could not see me and have no idea when I could be seen and then hung up on me. I was so flabbergasted by the way I was treated, I issued a complaint against the doctor through my insurance company. read more

The Doctor should strive to have office staff who have some sort of ethics and respect for patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Kirchners for 6 years. currently, I recently started a new job and explained I could not come in for an annual until the new insurance kicks in this April (one more month). Needed a refill of blood pressure medication to hold me over until new insurance kicks in. She refused, and then proceeded to instruct her staff to call me and tell me to find another primary doctor. I could understand if I were a new patient however the way i was spoken to in such a demeaning manner I wouldn't recommend she/they care for a dog. Dr Kirchner Refused to see me because I had seen another doctor for a physical earlier this year. I explained that it was my husbands doctor and he retired the same year, not that I owed any explanations. I was very sick when I called and they told me to go find another doctor then. I again explained that it was just one time and he had retired and that I was very sick. I asked if it was because insurance wouldn't pay but they said it was just the doctor's wishes. I found another doctor that treated me in the same neighborhood and cured me. I didn't expect Dr Kirchner to refuse to treat me knowing the doctor I saw was retired and that I was very sick. She didn't even make an exception given the misunderstanding. I thought doctors main concern is to help people and not their egos. Very sad. I will not recommend this doctor to anyone. read more

I took my elderly mom to this doctor for a consultation. When the nurse called for us, I explained to her that a) My mom's English is not great, and b) She has trouble understanding things, that I wanted to translate and ask specific healthcare questions that she would have too much trouble articulating. The nurse responded coldly, "We don't allow that here." I told her to ask the doctor, because it was important. She said she would, and had me wait alone while my mom went in by herself. 15 minutes later, after I kept calling my mom (which appeared to annoy the doctor), the nurse showed up and told me that both SHE and the doctor don't think it would be a good idea to allow me in. Why? Because if my mom ever needs to come back and I can't come with her, it would be a problem. How ridiculous is that? I told her, that would not happen. We would not make an appointment if I could not be there. Makes sense, right? Well, her response was, "The doctor does not see patients who do not speak English." Say what??? Something was odd about this whole visit. I felt like there was a bit of discrimination going on, to be honest. I told them to just have my mother come out so we can leave. They noticed we were not happy. Less than half an hour after we left, we received calls from this office. I told them to not call me anymore. Then they called again. The receptionist said, "I know you told me not to call... but the doctor wants to speak to you." Why didn't the doctor just talk to me WHILE I WAS THERE? Unbelievable. I immediately called other doctors to make a new appointment. Every office I spoke to said they would not mind if I was present during the consultation. One was even appalled by how we were treated. So consider this a warning to anyone who wants to accompany an elderly patient, someone with Alzheimers, or someone who does not speak perfect English. read more

I have been a pt.of Dr. Kirchner for a few years,i tried to scheduled an appointment for my yearly physical and i was told i had to payed $25.00 for not showing up for my last appointment which i was not aware of. Every time i try to scheduled an appointment its like 3 months wait.. .front desk refuse to give an appointment if i did not make a payment. Whoa what a cust. Serv..then they transfer me to speak to a person by the name Charlotte which was not help at all she was very argumental and rude not a good listener..iam a nurse and in my practice we are very underatanding and flexible with our pts .because we CARE.. i asked to speak to Dr. Kirchner and it was denied which i believe i have the right as a pt...i call back to request my records and i believe i spoke to same Charlotte what a bad vibe...she told me i have to send a letter requesting my records and i have to pay which she would not give me an estimate of how much it will be..honestly iam not sure how this person has a job..she seems unhappy ...seems she hates her job.. read more

This is a warning to anyone looking for a doctor. Do not even try to go to this one. First off good luck trying to get through on their phone, they have the most incompetent staff I have ever had to deal with. I asked to speak to the doctor and they flatly said she will not talk to me or call me back because she is so busy. Went there for some blood work, they never called with results. When I called it took 2 days for them to finally answer the phone, and did not return any of the messages I left. Their excuse was they inputted the wrong number, how about the messages I left with my name and number. How about mailing the results to my home. I complained to them, again I cannot speak to the doctor. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I've been seeing dr kirtchner for many years. It's easy to give her 5 stars. She takes my health more seriously than I do a lot of times. She is on top of tests I need, information she needs to gather from me on visits, she is open to exploring alternative forms of health and healing, she is grounded and personal and she has the cutest office dog ever (hypoallergenic). I was initially referred to dr kirtchner by a friend who had multiple myeloma. My friend said she liked dr kirtchner because she wasn't afraid of my friend, and my drs, due to the complications of her illness, often were scared. Her office is accessible, its relatively easy to get an appt. I am so happy she is my doc. read more

My 1st appointment with Dr. Kirchner was 2 years ago, on my first appointment I found it weird because never in my life had I had a doctor ask me to drop my pants, she would grab my genitals and ask me to cough, I found it weird but stayed quiet. My 2nd visit to Dr. Kirchner was pretty much the same story, again did the drop your pants and let me check your genitals, very odd and uncomfortable, I feel like she was taking advantage and sexually assaulting me but as a man how do you even go about this? That's only the half of it... I changed careers and no longer had health insurance, I call up the doctors office and explain that I am self pay and that I needed to do a "FULL PANEL" blood test done for cholesterol blood sugar etc & I also needed a FULL STD test, they gave me a price, I found it high and agreed to do it despite the high prices. When I come back to collect my results my first question was what my cholesterol level is? they respond, oh we didn't test for that, I asked about my bilirubin next, also didn't test for that, I asked about HSV-1 because my ex girlfriend had it, Ohhhh they didn't test for that either... I was suffering symptoms and I had them test specifically for those symptoms via a culture, turns out they didn't do that either they just did a regular urine analysis. I was infuriated and demanded that they at the very least re test for the culture as I initially requested, they wanted me to pay more out of pocket. I refused and demanded they take care of it because they did not deliver what I paid for. After a long battle they agreed to take care of it and send in the test. Through out the process they made me feel like total crap and Charlotte the office manger is such a piece of garbage I cannot use any words that accurately describe how much of poor person she is. 2 months after this whole thing I get a bill from Quest for the tests they said they were going to take care of !!!! I got a bill for another $315 !!! after I had already paid like $380 to them out of pocket. I call and politely ask why it hadn't been taken care of and I get transferred to Charlotte who immediately cuts me off and starts practically screaming at me and lying to my face saying that they never said they would pay for anything, she was so rude and treated me so poorly I really cannot understand how she even has a job, I asked her if she was the manager there and she arrogantly responds, "I am everything here" ... seriously ? what kind of demented moron what respond like that to a patient?? what in the hell is that ? I made it abundantly clear that I would not be ok with everything that was transpiring and that they needed to make it right and take care of this invoice as promised, she refused. I don't think I need to say anymore in regards to if you should consider this as your doctor. I read the reviews on here and they are pretty consistent with how crappy they are and treat their patients, I know for a fact the good reviews are contrived. There is nothing good about this, not the doctor, the facility, staff or anything. On top of sexually assaulting patients she also charges a heavy fee to people for emotional support animals, this has to be fraud, this office needs to be investigated. By the way every word in this review is true and I am 100 percent comfortable being contacted regarding the validity of what I have wrote in here. I called to get a same day appointment for some issues following an emergency room visit I waited 5 hours of back and forth phone calls and was told that I was no longer a patient because I don't do annual physicals that are " mandatory by law". My health was the least of their worry I was not referred to another doctor nor to the emergency room, just dropped when I needed medical care. Very unprofessional and uncaring. read more

A lengthy battle with breast cancer left me doctor shy. I avoided them unless it was absolutely necessary. Newly living in the Bal Habor area, I had a blood pressure related hospitalization. I had to find a primary care doctor and made an appointment with Dr. Kirchner. I told her about my aversion to doctors and that I hadn't had a physical in 5 years. My first hint that something was wrong was when I didn't need to take off ANY clothing for a physical. Any problem I brought up - I got a referral. Need a mammogram - ask my ob-gyn, weird spot on my leg - show a dermatologist, hearing problems - see an audiologist, even the high blood pressure problem that brought me there in the first place - see a cardiologist. For someone who is reluctant to go to doctors, I walked out with 4 referrals! A breast exam was not even part of a physical for a breast cancer survivor! I started to refer to her as "The Doctor Who Cures Nothing". I hate to admit I continued to go to her for my medical needs for almost 2 years. My husband went once and found a different doctor. Once when I had a sinus infection and couldn't get in to Dr. Kirchner's office, I went to my husband's doctor. I liked him and planned to use him as my primary care doctor in the future, but a month later we moved to Jacksonville. I recently got a call from my pharmacy. My blood pressure prescription needed a doctor's refill. They called Dr. Kirchner's office 3 times and finally called me. I called the office to see if she could order a refill until I am established in Jacksonville with a new doctor. I was told that she would not refill my prescription because I had gone to my husband's doctor one time. I explained they called her office because she was the prescribing doctor. I was told the doctor I saw one time could do it. People, thus the name, "The Doctor Who Cures Nothing". I don't know if it was pride or arrogance or a lack of caring, but evidently they would rather see me have a blood pressure problem than help me out. What happened to taking the Hippocratic Oath? And don't even get me started on the office staff! Clearly being pleasant on the phone is not a desired or trained quality. Rarely are your calls returned, and never in a timely manner. Several pharmacies have complained about not getting return calls. Patient retention does not seem to be a top priority. I noticed some people mentioned by name. I agree with all. The one positive thing I do have to say is the nurse who draws blood is efficient and painless. Having blood drawn is not easy for my damaged veins and she has never failed to get a good sample. read more

Dr. Kirchner has been my doctor for about three years. The first year or so was fine but after some time, I noticed that her staff was less than competent. However, since I don't have many problems and her office was convenient, I stayed with her. My wife had an appointment with Dr. Kirchner today and a woman called my phone and in a very rude manner demanded to know if my wife was coming to her appointment. I put my wife on the phone and I quickly noticed that there was something very wrong with the conversation. My wife put the call on speaker-phone and the woman was actually yelling at her. I took the phone and asked the woman to please not yell. She then started yelling at me. At that point I hung up the phone. It was like she was on drugs or something. Within a few minutes I received another call from Dr. Kirchner's office that I could not answer because I had taken another call. The same woman left a message informing me that Dr. Kirchner would not see my wife and that I was also no longer welcome at that office.
