While back in Massachusetts on a personal trip, my rental car acquired a door dent, and intentional dirtying of the vehicle didn't fool the Enterprise rental return staff at Boston Logan. Paperwork was completed. Insurance info was exchanged. With no LDW, I expected money to change hands. But when I got home, I called Marci's office, spoke to a person who knew who I was, explained the situation, and was asked for the phone number of the rental car office and the serial number of the related paperwork. Then... nothing. Nothing for *me*, at least. The problem was solved with no further effort on my part. All I needed to do was file away the letter that appeared a month later confirming that the claim was satisfied. Yes, it really is as simple as making a phone call. That's service.
