From the moment she responded to our initial outreach to the day of our wedding, Lindsey was a thoughtful, kind, and happy person to be around and work with. We received a lot of emails from vendors with ten or more exclamation points in their congratulations to us, which always felt fake and over-the-top to us. Lindsey never felt like anything but a genuinely amazing person who we liked talking to and working with. When we spoke to Lindsey, we immediately clicked with her and loved her thoughtful questions and approach, and it was an incredibly tough decision to ultimately hire someone else who had 10+ more years of experience as a wedding planner, because we thought that decade of experience would give us the peace of mind we needed, especially as we were planning the wedding from out of state.We were wrong. We ended up letting our other coordinator go 2 1/2 weeks before our wedding, as that individual came to meetings wildly unprepared and was just generally unprofessional. Thankfully, Lindsey was available and willing to step in at the last minute and be our day-of coordinator. She stepped in without any hesitancy, and working with her was immediately night and day to what we had previously experienced with the other coordinator. Before our first call, Lindsey had gone through all of our contracts and knew all of our vendors, our proposed timeline, and had pertinent and timely questions. She asked us about everything from the number of wine glasses to ways of rethinking our timeline to give us more time with our guests, and just generally made sure we had thought of every last detail ahead of the wedding. I cannot quite express the weight that lifted from my shoulders knowing that Lindsey was on top of things. She is a joy to be around in a genuine way and made the short time before our wedding stress-free and allowed us to just be excited for the wedding! Lindsey came and picked up boxes and boxes of decor from my home a few days before the wedding, because it was the only time that worked for me to give it to her, even though I know it was not her preferred time. Everything she did for us was just above and beyond. The day of was a dream, despite some hiccups, and that is all because Lindsey was working in the background to make sure we weren't stressed out about anything. By way of just one example of how she juggled things and stayed amazing, Lindsey talked to our ring bearer and kept him engaged so that he wouldn't miss his mom and would stay quiet and calm as we waited to walk down the aisle, while also making sure everyone else walked at the right times. Things that went wrong that we didn't have to deal with/that Lindsey made right: Despite all of our detailed planning, my father in law forgot to pick up the bouquets from the venue for our first look photos. The arbor didn't have any greenery on it and had these goofy little pinwheels on it that looked terrible. The pies (from a vendor I found) that we had so meticulously tasted and agonized over the flavors of showed up so undercooked that our caterer didn't feel comfortable serving them. It rained in the middle of our ceremony. Lindsey made sure we had flowers ready the moment we arrived at the venue, had the florist switch out the arbor decorations so that they looked elegant and beautiful before guests even arrived, someone from the catering staff drove to a grocery store to get ice cream so that we would have dessert, and our cocktail hour was moved inside and the appetizers went from a table to passed appetizers, while half of our dinner tables were moved around so that guests weren't blown or washed away by the wind and rain, and it was all done without their knowing the cocktail hour wasn't always planned for inside. If you're looking for someone who will help you to make your wedding your own, and allow you to just be in the moment and enjoy your day, I cannot recommend Lindsey highly enough. I absolutely adored the flowers she provided at the wedding, and she was also just really sweet about my describing various flowers, such as the craspedia or billy button, which I believe I called "a cute yellow pom pom thing." A LOT of my vendors wanted me to create pinterest boards so they could exactly duplicate my precise wishes--which is cool if you have a precise vision, but really hard when you don't. Shannon took my varied pinterest board and minimal guidance and created these gorgeous arrangements that look amazing in our photos, were great on our tables, and even listened on the day-of when the pinwheels and elements they had put on the arbor didn't fit what I thought we had discussed and quickly re-arranged things to place flowers there instead, minutes before the ceremony was meant to begin. Shannon even allowed me to deliver some photo charms for my mother in law's bouquet and one for my own to personalize the flowers. I just can't thank them enough for all the hard work, back-and-forth and guidance on who all and where all we would need flowers while still staying within our budget. I was very clear about my expectations and even requested visuals ahead of time to ensure we were aligned. Unfortunately, what was delivered looked nothing like what was shown or discussed. When I saw the flowers on the day of the event, I literally felt like crying -- they were that far from what I had envisioned. After expressing my disappointment, I was told they believed they "delivered on what I paid for." Hearing that after such a significant investment was incredibly disheartening and, frankly, insulting. Good business is about more than simply providing a product; it's about communication, care, and honoring what was promised. Sadly, my experience with Courtney and this florist reflected none of that. While Sarah is warm and clearly knowledgeable, the class was advertised as a "demonstration on transforming a grocery store wrapped bouquet into a beautiful centerpiece." I had assumed given the description, that the instructor would have purchased an actual grocery store bouquet for demonstration and then demonstrated ways to spruce it up at home with design, different flowers, techniques, etc.. While the flowers provided were beautiful, unique and most importantly, grown locally, each flower provided for this workshop is not likely to be available in most grocery stores and therefore, would need to be substituted, something the instructor didn't offer without prompting, it seemed. So, the entire class was just "we're using this line flower or this greenery but when you go to the grocery store, try this flower, that flower or option #3, instead." For me, the format of the class just didn't make any sense in terms of actually helping folks transform accessible, locally purchased grocery store flowers. Additionally, the price ($75 per person) was extremely steep considering there were no bevvies and/or apps included. I have been lucky enough to take courses with several other local florists with many of them providing a least one cocktail or glass of wine, a charcuterie cup (or something similar) and the same amount of blooms for the same price or less. I did learn a bit about how to extend the life of the flowers and had some myths busted surrounding flower food, cooling the flowers, etc., I am just so bummed that the class didn't actually offer what we signed up for at a very unaffordable price.

She was responsive and drew up a plan with recommendations that were just what we were looking for! Once the pandemic hit, we knew things would be on hold for a bit but not how long. We ended up pushing our wedding to May 2021 and she was wonderful about checking in once in a while to see if there were any updates and due to the pandemic there ended up being some changes, she didn't miss a beat. Thank you Heidi and Heather for creating all of the gorgeous flower arrangements for my wedding!…read more I love fresh flowers, but also realize there is an environmental impact of them when it's off-season for local flowers. Since we were having a May wedding, we realized local flowers were not an option. We wanted a florist to create my bouquet and bouquets for the bridal party but who was also willing to work with us to create the tablescapes with live succulents, orchids and other flowers. For the bouquets - we needed three different sizes - a larger bridal one, ones for siblings walking down the aisle and one for nieces who were teenagers. Heidi and Heather are so talented and I am so impressed with everything they came up with! They're also so patient and will iterate with you until they get your vision perfectly nailed down. My mom and I really wanted to be involved with designing the tablescapes. We spent an afternoon with Heidi and Heather mocking them all up so they were all unique. They're so creative and really brought our vision to life!! And when we had some changes to tables - they adjusted everything accordingly. You'll see all in the pictures (I covered faces with emojis because I didn't ask for their permission to post the photos.) We were particular with some of our asks and they made them all happen. We wanted a bridal bouquet sample - which I'm glad we did because it helped me better articulate my vision and give feedback. I recommend every bride does this - it's worth spending the $50-60 on a smaller bouquet (that you'll get to enjoy - I timed it around a holiday and used it as the centerpiece) to see what your vision will look like so on the day of your wedding, you know what you're getting. I also asked that all of the little ceramic pots they got the potted flowers in kept so they could be reused vs. trashed. They were so wonderful to work with and were willing to go above and beyond - some examples: sourced orchids from Trader Joe's to keep the price down, dropped my bridal bouquet off at our airbnb where I was getting ready vs. the venue so I could have it for my couples pictures, and worked with us to also create our escort card display and a welcome drink display. I have only good things to say about Heidi and Heather - whether you need flowers for a wedding or event, or just need a bouquet or two - contact these ladies! They are experts and so talented!
