Well, having gotten to meet Chewie (and Kandie) this time around, all I can say is you would be hard pressed to find dogs that are more wonderfully spirited, smart, loving, and obviously living a great life than these two. I hadn't even thought about it when I signed on for the litter but getting to meet Mark and his daughter (and then see things progressing nearly every step of the way because of his social media skills and presence) was incredibly reassuring and also helpful towards actually picking out our puppy. As I told him, the amount of time and energy he was clearly putting in (again, documented thru social media posts) to make sure that the puppies were as healthy, happy and socialized well was truly awe inspiring. Now we've got our pups up on the same media platforms and are connected back in this way. It's wonderful to see near daily updates of Chewie and Kandie, puppy footage, and from some of the other families from the litter (or who have a puppy sired by Chewie). Choosing Marti was easily the best choice I could have ever made and I am forever a client of Marti's. I will never look elsewhere when adopting my next Havanese (or a breed that isn't a Havanese, for that matter). I adopted Cookie, formally Cartier, from the "C" litter. From our first phone call in Fall 2024, Marti was attentive to the details of my life and what kind of puppy temperament would be best fit for my lifestyle. She is kind, SO communicative, and the most detail-oriented, loving, and caring person/breeder. Seeing how loved these puppies are far before they are even born was constant reassurance that I made the best choice. I would receive multiple texts/pictures/videos a day when Cookie was born. So anxious and excited to get my puppy, Marti answered all of my questions and was always so reassuring and kind. Cookie came to me loving her crate (this was a game changer), being exposed to so many sights and sounds (her groomer says she is better behaved than adult dogs she's been grooming for years ), and is the epitome of a perfect puppy and I truly owe it all to Marti because she set Cookie (and the rest of her litter) up for complete success. Everyone in my life is so surprised when they hear how young Cookie is because she is truly so well behaved, has a great sense of independence, and loves to just hang with our crew. My son did a search on Google for Havenese puppies and Harris Havenese popped up. They were not…read morevery far from my home area so I called Marti and set up an appointment to see the remaining two puppies in the litter. All of the puppies were there when I visited the next day. Each one of the puppies were absolutely precious and they were happy and lively. The mother was nursing all of them . I wanted a female and there was 1 male & 1 female left. All the other puppies from the litter were spoken for. I quickly fell in love with Roxie and gave my deposit that night. I had to wait another month until the puppies were old enough to go to their new homes. Marty updated me with photos of my puppy and she also provided me important paperwork to look review. The entire process was very easy. The home where the puppies were living was very clean and orderly. Marti truly has the puppies, best interest and was so sweet and caring and accommodating to me. I had asked if she could keep the puppy for one more week because of my busy work schedule, and she was more than happy to do that. I have never purchased a dog before, but this process was very easy. My puppy is absolutely precious and everybody that meets her is obsessed with her. She is an absolute delight, and very well-behaved. I might add. I highly recommend Harris Havenese if you are thinking about getting a Havanese puppy. Marti made it very clear that she's available for any questions or concerns that I might have. I met my future cat and her mama and got to see how well her cattery is set up. Today at 8 weeks and 2 days old I picked up my dream Bengal kitty. She is a beautiful brown with awesome rosettes and a sweet personality. I couldn't be happier either with the kitten or then entire experience. I got a phone call out of the blue, she said we have space. With a reluctant heart I made the appointment to surrender them. I wanted to cry. But my HOA has strict rules and really I couldn't take care of them I can't afford it. It's not fair to them if they could have a chance of a better life. I got the phone call, and I purposely extended it one more week. Just to have time to say goodbye. I came for my appointment and I showed her the pics to say this is what they are used too. I sobbed on the way home. 3 kittens and a new chance. One week and a half I got a voicemail message to tell me they had all been adopted. They didn't have to do that. The weight off my heart and soul is immeasurable it's priceless this peace of mind. Do the right thing, don't abandon them on a highway. I promise you it will work out. Give them a chance to go to good homes. This has been my one and only experience. I've nothing but but good things to say, don't be afraid.

Extremely disappointed with the Mission Viejo Animal Control Licensing Department…read more I had no issue paying the actual licensing fee, but the penalties they charge are unreasonable and the customer service is even worse. A $45 penalty on a $25 licensing fee is excessive, and when I asked if they could offer even a one-time courtesy waiver, they were completely inflexible and uninterested in working with me. They claim they "send reminders," but I told them I never received any reminder notices, and if I had, I would have paid the licensing fee immediately. Their response was basically that it was my problem, not theirs. What's even more frustrating is that it took four years before they left a tag on my door, and then they turned around and charged me $180 in late fees. Instead of notifying residents in a timely way, it feels like they let the penalties build up and then hit you with a huge bill. This department feels more focused on collecting fees than actually helping residents stay compliant. I understand rules and licensing requirements, but there should be reasonable communication and some basic courtesy -- especially when someone is willing to pay. I am not sure how anyone with fix income can afford these type of penalties. And I am surprise why no one has attempted to stop this SCAM
