Did 47 in a 50 limit. Said thats too slow doing 47 in a 50. Had to ask over and over what he was instructoring me to go. Got upset I used a back camera to backup into a tight parking spot. My instructor was Chinese. Having a thick Covid-19 mask makes it very difficult to understand. I did not wear a mask. Don't bother in Richmond. Goto Vancouver or Burnaby for road test.

I had to ask him to repeat several times, but I did my best to follow his directions carefully. During the test, he strongly criticized me after I slowed down to 20 km/h right after passing a parked vehicle. I did so because there was an upcoming intersection with both left and right turns, and I was waiting for his direction. I also missed one shoulder check when turning right, but aside from that, I believe I performed well. The results paperwork also was not clear . He checked but didn't tell the reason . Camera was taken off by him I haven't had a proof that he was critusm. Though I accept the result of my test, I was very upset by the examiner's behavior afterward. He told me, "It's your fault, not mine," then tore up a copy of the test paper, placed it on the seat, and left the car without further explanation. His words and tone made me feel deeply disrespected and emotionally hurt. I would like to suggest that during road tests, examiners provide feedback or corrections after the test is completed--especially when the mistakes are related to skill, not safety hazards. Harsh criticism during the test can disrupt the applicant's concentration and confidence.

First off, five minute wait (with an appointment). The woman was so incredibly sweet and kind. Went super smooth. Got my ID in the mail like less than a week later.

The #1 piece of advice I have is to make an appointment. I've been here twice with an appointment…read moreand it was a 15-20 minute wait both times. They alternate between the appointment and non-appointment line and the non-appointment line was ten times longer in one case. That's around a three hour wait without an appointment! As with other ICBC offices, this one is hit or miss. Sometimes you get lucky and get someone who really wants to be helpful. Sometimes not. I was lucky on my second visit here to be rescued from a "customer is always wrong" employee who thought my number hadn't been called yet when it had been called. The guy kept telling me to wait for my number and sit back down, which would've meant that I lost my number and would have to make another appointment and come back later or wait for three hours as if I didn't have an appointment. Luckily, someone else saw that this person had no idea what they were doing and fit me in, but if they hadn't that would've been a very bad experience. It would be nice if there weren't employees here who do their best to be unhelpful. If this were a privately run shop, I'd give it one or two stars for employing people like that, but if you don't grade on a curve for government run services they'd all rate one or two stars, so I'll give this place three stars when compared to other governmental offices you might interact with.

I moved to Bellingham from Tampa, FL about two month ago, and I am still being told that I need new…read moredocuments every time I go back to this place. It's been about the 5th time I've gone back and today they told me I need another two documents signed and notarized by my parents that live in Florida. To be fair the people working are not bad people, but I really wish they could've just told/given me all the documents I need in order to change my plates and tabs. It takes about two hours for my parents to drive to the place in order to get something notarized and now they have to do it again. Also my insurance runs out in about a week, which is ridiculous because if they just gave me everything at once then I could've probably gotten everything at least a month before. This is also not completely their fault tho, hence why it is a 2 star. Since USPS gave me an incorrect change of address the first time around, and the second one came late as well. I'm sorry to the staff there but this whole mess has made me more stressed than I have ever been during University. Why isn't there like a full list that you can give us to complete? I saw that another review had a similar problem as well, like why? Why would you want us to come back a handful of times? Sorry for the rant but this is my honest review.

Very disappointing and unfair road test experience at this location…read more Key concerns from my Class 7 road test: - The examiner did not introduce himself. - I experienced unwanted physical contact that made me uncomfortable. - The examiner seemed distracted and unprofessional during the setup. - I was told I missed shoulder checks, but he could not clearly explain when. - During reverse parking, I wanted to wait for a safer moment, but I felt pressured to start and was then blamed for it. - The supervisor I spoke with afterward was aggressive, dismissive, and condescending. I have done several road tests here because this location often has available appointments, but based on my experience, the assessment feels unfair and inconsistent. It honestly feels like people are being failed for unclear or subjective reasons, which forces them to pay and rebook. I would strongly suggest avoiding this location if possible.

Both the agent at the counter, as well as the examiner were very kind and polite. On two occasions during the test, we were delayed at railroad crossings by train traffic in the Grandview cut, so we had some opportunities to chat and pass the time. I passed the test and have my class 5 driver's license to this day. I am pleased that the wonderful workers at this location could play a part in the beginnings of my adult life.
